Never mind, apparently Photomatix can do it too and with quite great results I must say. It just proves you need to read docs to see what is possible with each software, otherwise you may be spending a lot of time capturing brackets while you can do it with a single raw file. And the good part of it since there are no brackets you can capture moving objects/subject and have no ghosting at all.
I used the A7R III the most this year I think. It was absolutely fine. Got back to NZ and it snowed so that cleaned it off nicely as I walked around. :D
Hey Frank - you will be able to upgrade from your current version to the new version. The new version will launch soon - now is the Pre-order for the 2019 version.
Hi Frank. Your existing version will continue to work and be supported. Or you can grab 2019 and all of its new awesomeness for $49 as an existing customer. Just head over to the Aurora site and there is an upgrade option there (with free bonus items for the next 24hrs)
I really loved the zone system luminosity masking in Aurora 2017, but then, much to my disappointment, it disappeared in the 2018 version. Is it back in this new version?
Thanks, Trey. I was never clear on how it worked in the 2018 version (2017's was so user friendly). Would you consider doing a video on how this version works?
As of januari 1 2020 this Aurora 2019 software is still not working on iMac with Catalina! This in spite of the promises Skylum made to mac users to solve the problem before the en of the year (2019). And they still keep advertising this program for apple computers. No warning/advise for potential customers or whatsoever. Just trying to cash. Trey, this must be a pain in the ass for you too, being the "godfather" of this program... Happy New Year Peter
Hey Peter, this wasn't something I was aware of. Sorry you've not had a great experience. I'd suggest you drop them a mail on support at aurorahdr dot com and ask for a refund. That doesn't solve the problem of course but it is something which can be done now. (I'll also ask Skylum to give an update on the update eta so keep an eye on their forum for that.) Oh, and if you bought the software from my store let me know and we'll sort out the refund for you instead.
Hey Peter, Stu from Trey's team here. Can you let me know if it's working for you as a standalone app, or not at all? (There is a suggestion that it's fine on its own but may crash if used as plugin/photos extension.) Also, what camera are you using? Just want to be sure we get to the bottom of your issue and make sure it is the same crash as other people and not unique to you. :)
