Just like you, I got my Zebra recently and am interested in changing the settings. I have watched 6 RU-vid vids so far on adjusting settings. Confusing how some people are simply using up time by over doing it. Yours is by far the best explained and easiest to comprehend video to change settings. You did not overthink/over explain it. Thank you! I'm bringing my bike into my office right now to watch your video over again to make the final adjustments. Kudos!!!
Great, video with little extra banter. Concise and clean, without covering too many functions. I am picking my 2 D5's today and this is exactly what I was looking for, and the pedal assist levels was an added bonus. Well done.
I have own my Zebra step-thru a year now and have close to 4000 miles on it and have done so many upgrades like a dual battery setup with a 40A dual battery Equalizer that has a 48V 30ah 21700 3.7v 5000mah cells so now I have 50ah of battery WOW. I just got some cool brand-new white wall street tires that ride and go over bumps so much better than the stock Kenda tires. I also just got a new KD718 display that total unlocks the ebike 30+ mph but I got it so I can monitor my battery better because it shows Volts and Percentages which is far better. I have a lot more up grades too, and I love the way it is setup now! I had to use Himiway service like four times when I first got it and it has been a very good bike sense then. Also, I had no problems with their service for their warranty, I give them a five star rating, I don't know why some people had a bad time with them I knew I would have to deal with them by email and they were fast and i got my parts within 10 days!
I too just received a Himiway Zebra (step over) version. it arrived as a "Florida Limited Edition"? BUT, it had the new and disapproved controller display. Himiway is sending me the tried and true version. So thank you Himiway for shining in the service department!
when you changed your speed to 36mph did your bike actually go that fast, I'm asking because i changed my cruiser a year ago following the (tinkering turtle) and only get 28mph,
Hey Kelvin, the number displayed in the screen (36 for me) is not the MPH. It seems like it is just a “level”. 28 mph definitely is a higher speed than what I have seen out of the box on these bikes so i believe it has upped your max speed a little. Terrain as well as physical rider and elevation of course always plays a factor in speed as well! Hope this helps.
The bike display is made to read in KILOMETERS. The 36 is actually 22 MPH (mile per hour) and that just happens to be what Himiway has throttled the bike down to. Your display is reading correct. It is my understanding that some overseas (non US) Himiway bikes have a higher setting that can be achieved.
I spoke with the manufacturer because it's only $1400 if you buy it directly but the rear rack is extra. They said unlocked their top speed is 23/24mph. That's why I didn't get it.
@@theaveragejonboy I’am waiting on a response from another HIMIWAY owner that has ordered a entirely different Module (On/Off) that supposedly unlocks it beyond 28mph. So we see if that happens.
