Yep agree. I think Versa is a much better car overall. The only thing Mirage G4 is discounted heavily but many dealers compare to Nissan Versa which would not sell below MSRP.
As a cheap car I don’t mind these…reminds me of what was normal in prior years before large SUVs took over. Would I own one in the U.S. today, no. Due to the large heavy vehicles and high rates of impaired drivers it’s just not safe enough. Anecdotal but on the local news today was a 9yr old who died in the back seat of a Versa after being rear ended by a Wrangler. I think you need larger and safer. Maybe Honda Civic or Corolla, but I’d default to a slightly larger Jetta or even an HRV, Taos, Tiguan or CRV, just anything modern and larger, and take the minimal cost and MPG hit.
Thanks for your comment. Good point on safety. Yes Versa is a light car. I was trying to make some dance moves in the car when I was test driving it with my wife and the whole car was shaking :) But overall this is a far better vehicle than I remember even Sentra 10 years ago, they were very clumsy with terrible steering and suspension.
Yes agree, but on the other hand I remember when BASE Versa was advertised by Nissan as $9,999 with manual window controls, but it was hard to find one, they were starting at around $14k. So inflation in the last 5-6 years really made a huge dent.
