cant seem to see anyone with a 10 year review after long uses on lifepo4 battery ... from looking online it says it can last up to 10 years maybe even 15 just all depends how you care for it and use ect... just got a 12v 100ah lifepo4 going to use it on 1000w inverter to just power up lights and charge phones laptops small stuff so i dont plan on draining the battery everyday

How to preserve a 18650 for a long time without using it? It`s enough to charge it once every 6 months, and store it in dry and room temperature? Thank you !!

Storage temperature is important 68 degrees F is the magic temp. I would charge it every 3 months.

But does it mean you gain anything . Say, discharging charging from 100 to 25 you get like %75 of charge each time. And that lasts you 4500 cycles . But 75-65 lasts you 9000 cycles, but you only restore %10 of charge each of those cycles . So in total you get like %10 multiply 9000 cycles = 900 total battery capacities, whereas from 100 to 25 it’s %75 each time you charge so now out of 4500 cycles you get 3375 total battery capacities. So you get more total productivity. Most likely it’s gonna be about the same. Just if you charge it %80 each time of course you will have less cycles than if you charge only %10 each time. Which is like 8 times less productivity on each charge. So obviously you will have more cycles left .

Good math points. I was thinking of you have the choice to charge or not say like on a multi day trip. If you discharge less, you'll have the battery longer (provided you maintain). Your points are definitely valid. Thanks

4000 cycle on liion battery? wait what? are u talking about lifepo here? everywhere i read that liion are like max 300-400 cycle life

Great catch. The chart was a different battery type, but it got to the main point, which holds true. The sweet spot for lithium-ion, like the type shown in the graph, is the 30% to 80% sweet spot for the battery charge/discharge. Also, the point that you don't want to completely discharge. Most electronics have circuitry that shut the device down before the last juice is burned up. Thanks for the catch and insight!

@@BrianGaberFishing Yep ok . You know how much cycle de Can hope to get with liion if WE use this ? I got lifepo and wanna add liion to my power wall système because liion take less place and IS cheaper. But it its fore liké 400 cycle at max it make no sense

The most you are going to get out of any lithium battery is 2 years typically, 3 years best case scenario.

2 years is not typical, You are doing something wrong if thats all you are getting mate 😂 been running my 120ah as a service battery in my touring rig for 5 years now and it still runs a 75L fridge for 3+ plus days
