The easiest and only way to truly stop cheating is so simple. Make steam accounts linked to photo ID. One ID per account. Any account that isn't verified doesn't play on vac secured servers, and if you get banned on your ID verified account you're permanently banned
maybe the cheater scene is WAY bigger than you think, im actually "outside the box" on this, i think HVH is big, really fucking big and 80% of the above mentioned (not mentioned) software users only playing HVH can be totally plausible. With the current amount legit cheaters and rage hackers in mm and faceit, HVH should be 5-6 figures easily. I've been playing cs since BETA 5.2 (1999), yes that is long before 1.6, and the actual launch of the game (2001), we had crosshair for the AWP btw :) no one can "legit" fool me. They would have to turn off the cheat completely, and i stand by it. I see them every day... slight hints, but they are there, on every cheater, and it is currently a fuckload of them.
I hate cheaters but I'd prefer to play against a cheater using no spread aimbot, spinbot, wallhack and finish the whole match quicker, rather than playing against a blatant legit cheater using wallhack, pretending to be a pro player. I mean if you cheat there's nothing I can do, Vac doesn't work, so stop pretending you are pro when you really are a noob.

Crosshair placement is skill. Counterstrafing at the exact moment on the edge off a wall in order to get info is skill. Faking your enemies on a site while you're on your way to a different site it's also skill. Pop flashing for your teammate and understanding what do they see and where they are on map, this îs map awarness and skill, the knife kill also not everytime îs luck most of the times in order to make a knife kill u need positioning and map awarness and u need to win a Little gamble but this gamble îs lower when u know vs who you play and whats their style. With wallhack and aim. Cs îs just a pathetic shooter nah man. CS is a psychological game most of the time. A team role play with economy with one of the greatest maps ever created for a shooter. I've seen many kids thinking this hvh is skill. Clueless kids. Unfortunately they won't ever feel the satisfaction of an ace like we do. They won't understand how great it feels to win a clutch when all odds are against You. When your teamates are toxic to eachother on Voice after they died and u shut them up.with your one taps. You should watch some HVH games... like some serious games with "good" cheaters on either side In a normal game we have the skills and stuff you mentioned and in the hvh they have exploits and stuff... who can use the exploit better.... I was playing cs 2 an hour ago and one of my teammate started cheating in rage. In response, 4 people from the opposite team started cheating in a way that was obvious. It's a really pathetic situation, I can't get any pleasure from the game.When I asked him why he started cheating in a certain way he said "I saw they were watching us my cheat is better than their cheat".They were all legit cheating.I just sat at the base and waited for the game to end...

It may be hard for your feeble mind to comprehend, but they make millions from this software. They don't care about what they are contributing, they care about keeping the cash flowing. They are trying to create a system in which their income from the cheat is not dependent on its detection. Moreover, they've realized users won't continue resubbing to shit on legit players. Thus their goal is to create a space for cheaters to play together, which in turn will extend the lifespan of this cheat. Whether you'd like to think so or not, NL users and hvh players are ultimately counter strike players. They don't want to go play a random new game with built in cheats. They want to play counter strike, with all the familiar guns, familiar maps, skins, source movement, source physics, etc. So to answer your second question simply; because nobody would play it and it would be a waste of the developers time. They have a well established clientele, and that clientele is interested in cs cheats, not a new game.
If you've looked into their software at all you'd know that's always been their focus and for whatever reason targeting that audience has always made the most money in this scene, it makes sense for them to focus on discussing that as that has made them the most money so far. After all, they are simply another business and their priority is making money.
On games where HvH is fundamentally different than the game itself; HvH could give an interesting spin towards the game. Take Minecraft as an example. However I must agree that on CS it doesn't really have that depth, making it just a corner peeking fight game.

@@gauxalot Valve official servers that are used in their normal matchmaking and premiere are still the true path to in-game ranks and leaderboard and I agree that it should not be affected by the cheaters and they could just turn them off for that. Other than that, non-official server owners are not obligated to have their servers VAC secured - they don't owe you sh...t in that regard. If they have those cheaters, they would have their own system of banning them. Sure, problem would still be there but if they really cared about official modes, they could disable it there and it would affect A LOT of players, since - when's the last time you played on non-official server that was not FACEIT/ESEA/CM? Would be naive to believe that this wasn't an act of making more money instead of saving MM.

I am good at this game, because I play FPS for the last 17 years and have reached high levels in leagues and any matchmaking system... But that is not the point... A friend, who is absolutely new to the game and has not played one single match with us also faces rage hackers regularly - and he is at 5k rating. These guys are so mental and just trying to justify their bullshit with even more nonsense. It is obvious what NL stands for and the cheaters using that programm are all over premier. They are not only playing against other cheaters, they are playing with and against regular people.
Most of the cheaters in mid to low Elo are pretty bad. They either use free cheats or spend very little money to get something like a ragebot. Most of the time after smashing legit players for around 10 games? you enter the 20k Elo zone which is basically HvH. What I am saying is that you don't need to pay 10 20 dollars to get a cheat that can destroy legit players. There are free, injected cheats out there that are still undetected. Hopefully Valve do something about this because the game is unplayable
Most free CS2 cheats get detected quite fast, the only one that comes to mind that has stayed undetected isn't good at all for raging and targets people who are closeting.

I think paying for hacks is a bigger waste of money than opening cases. And cheaters are definitely spending more time trying to legit hack with regular players than spending time in Hack vs Hack servers. They got those cheats to for a dopamine kick when they effortlessly defeat other players, if they actually wanted to challenge their skills at CS they wouldn’t have paid for hacks

yeah "HvH league" .. of course, I understand that Premier naturally becomes HvH at some point, but let's not kid ourselves that their customers buy their cheat subscriptions because they want to play HvH... it's most certainly the other way round that 80-90% are just playing and destroying the experience of legit Premier/Competitive/etc players and 10-20% are interested in HvH. Cheaters don't buy cheats to play HvH in the first place, they buy them to have an advantage over *legit* players that they wouldn't have otherwise in terms of skill. It's just a natural process: be bad at the game and feel bad -> look for ways to improve or take shortcut in cheats -> buy cheats to win over players they usually wouldn't -> feel "good". I'm a normal player around 12-14k elo, work 6 days a week and play cs since it's been in my life since 1.6, only having time to play 1 or 2 games at a time and playing against this amount of cheaters just burns my heart. such a sad thing that its deeply rooted like cancer now

unlikely to happen considering that the "hvh league" would be very heavily policed. in csgo community hvh servers it was fun to use this specific feature that make it difficult to be killed, it either made the enemy mad or they had a laugh at how overpowered of an exploit it was at the time! :)

Playing HvH is also skill-based. People don't use HvH cheats because they are bad. Most people use their product to HvH so play against other cheaters.

The proof is in the pudding, their software's features really only targets people who hvh or ragehack, and ragehacking has always been less common than HvH since it's extremely boring to most. The legit features in their software are extremely lacking which is evidence of who they're targeting.
Pro tip: Setup HvH none bannable servers for this comp, let them use it with valves blessings, use AI to learn how to identify cheats used within this comp, employ AI anti cheat using this training data on live servers. This could be an amazing honey pot to train the anti cheat AI NN

Marketing as HvH is irrelevant so long as they do not prohibit or ban users for using it in matchmaking. It would be easy for them to detect if the game mode being played is regular matchmaking or Premier and just ban their users as well as directly report them to Valve for bans. Then and only then can they have any credibility about being geared towards HvH. Also knowledge may be a factor, but even with HvH you are basically throwing skill out the window. There is no skill that you can utilize that will matter beyond what the cheat can do. You are basically playing a game of chicken and luck, that's about all there can be to it.

Its expensive. These guys make a lot of money. Private cheats in cs do have like 15k users so imagine how many users does biggest public cheat have. Probably over 100k. Most of them don't have active subscription but even if like 1/3 do thats like 30€x30k=900 000€ month.
Although you are correct. Valve still pays attention to the LARGER CS streamers/youtubers even if they don't say they do. So while true it's free advertisement. It's still giving a direct line of exposure to Valve.

I believe that it is hard to build a company like theirs (developing cheats) without being intrusive to legit players from the start. I do appreciate the vision of HvH and I think the best solution as their company grows is to ensure some form of connection check in their product, such as checking whether you are connecting to an HvH server and otherwise disabling the cheats. I do also enjoy the liberty of being able to choose myself what I do with the things I purchase. If I do want to play on Premier servers and ruin the life of everyone else that should be my decision. That however does not mean the developers cant just completely skip implementing code to bypass anti-cheat. This is how the cycle will continue though, if they dont implement the anti-cheat bypass, someone else will. However for these developers I believe the respectable way to go is to not to attempt to bypass anti-cheat at all.
I don't see how these people see a HVH faceit league. Like when 99% of the game plays it self, the ability to outskill a player is very small and not in any way going to attract a major audience the way regular esports do.

Idk about that, if they sell wallhack for example it doesnt really matter is it good or not, it have to be good enought so you dont get insta ban as soon as you start the game, the rest depends on how good cheater will hide it. @@rebane2001 good point but 30$ being a lot of money is arbitrary, if they are addicted to cs and to cheating its really not that much. Also Im pretty sure that at least 80% of cheaters that use their software to hvh also use it from time to time on normal mm, like you know they keep the heavy guns like spinbots to hvh and use only wall for soft cheating against legit players
I play cs every once in a while to relax and have fun in between work, studying, owning a house, a dog and a kid on the way. I just want to get on and have a fun time, I’m at high silver with around 500h playtime around 8k elo, and play cheaters almost every game, spinbotters maybe not that often but def wallhackers and aimbotters. The fact that these guys just WONT admit that they make my relaxing time a hellhole of 3 matches getting shit on by cheaters then giving up infuriates me so much.
The people cheating in low tier matchmaking isn't these guys it's your free undetected crappy cheats. These guys are rage your versusing legit or semi rage players
I am surprised as how many people in this comment section dont recognise there is a difference between legit and hvh cheats. HvH is a different game mode, nobody pays 30eur monthly to spin against legit players because it is fucking boring. Ofc you meet low elo rage cheaters too, as they just climb their way up to hvh elo(e.g they got banned, or have multiple accounts). They could try to look legit, but that would waste 30min of ur life instead of 10. Cs go MM hvh on official valve servers wasnt as popular due to different ranking system. In premier we have actual leaderboard so you can actually compete and climb the ladder, not just get to global elite and stop your dopamine stimulation there.
How can Valve beat cheats? Answer is: they can't. I can explain why. Clientside detection: Every countermeasure that runs on your PC, such as an anti-cheat can be defeated. Why? Because it's an open environment in which you can do anything you want. Anti-cheat runs on kernel-level? No problem. Load a kernel module via EFI. Oh it's not signed by microsoft? Use a patched windows. It's not an option? Bring your own vulnerable driver... What i try to say here is, this is not a closed system such as a game console (they can be broken too). Serverside detection: What does the server see? Client commands. You could detect anomalies in the commands the client sends. Maybe the cheat alters game client behavior in a way that certain commands are sent more frequently than they normally should. But what they really referred to is probably behavioral analysis of the player, involving movement, aiming and stuff... For blatant cheaters that spin around or kill the entire enemy team within a blink of the eye that might be easy to detect. But my problem as a player are enemies that try to hide their cheats and act legit. And those can't be easily detected. And NO. Artificial intelligence is not the solution to the problem. How should an AI be capable of detecting non-blatant cheaters if most humans are incapable of telling a cheater from a legit player? This will be going to either catch little to no cheaters or produce false-positives, what we really don't want. What would i do? Both. I am sure that serverside detection can be designed reasonable well to catch those blatant cheaters. As others mentioned though, those are not half as demotivating as cheaters that try to hide it and seem like the next prodigy, wasting your time by winning closely, 16-14. In addition i would keep on developing clientside detection via a kernel-level anti-cheat, so basically what they do right now. Furthermore, and that is the important part, i'd have a team that buys and reverse-engineers cheats online in order to understand how the anti-cheat is bypassed. Of course that also involves updating the anti-cheat much more frequently. Shadow bans: I don't like the approach of putting players into a hidden pool and flag them as potential cheaters. Games like call of duty showed that the rate of false-positives is just too high. And if you're sure a player is cheating, why would you keep them in the game anyway?
Okay if they are making cheats which is intended for HvH only, then why would you make it undetectable in offical matches? If the goal was HvH then you'd make an cheat that players can use in their servers, but outside of their servers the cheat would spotted by VAC. They are just trying to get in a good light. You can also not "accidentally" make a cheat that is undetected, that claim is BS
How are cheats supposed to be detected if there is no anti cheat? you can run any cheat, even free ones, as long as your FOV doesn't exceed 40 out of 180, and you don't use anti aim you will not get banned. Cheat developers can't do nothing about it as you can change that in cheat menu so its players choice to run it on premier
One of my biggest concerns with ai anti-cheat is that it might consider really good players or people just fooling around as cheaters, the ai anti-cheat detects suspicious gameplay and not suspicious software or hardware

@@roccatsenseful not everyone copys configs btw, there is no best cheat since providers always try to be better than others, you have to know when to peek, when to override ur aimbot damage and so on.
hvh is like community server its a game in a game. It a different type of community. "Cheating in community server where its allowed is not bad it like mincraft servers like 2b2t. Cheating in cs2 like (hypixel) is bad.
The problem I have with shadow banning is a high level player will end up with a lot of reports vs the lower level players while climbing and end up vsing a LOT of cheaters which artificially reduces their level so they get reported MORE. An example is coming into CS2 after being a high level Faceit player and farming kids, getting reported most games, now I'm more likely to go against sus accounts with low badges and commends or every badge with 400+ commends but no 5 year coin. The reason I'm calling out this issue is the shit players play against shit players and win so get a better rating than the legitimately good players playing against other really good players that should be taking place at a MUCH higher rating (faceit 1's with 16k rating barely able to use a mouse vs having insanely hard games in 10k as a faceit 8+)
These cheats are used primarily to boost accounts to marketable elos, which are then sold as smurfs. Its very profitable for Valve and other companies, actually, because all of this artifical activity drives up their user metrics and looks good to investors. Think, Mark.
says cheating is similar to piracy. Well hate to burst their bubble, but piracy is in fact a crime. By their own logic then cheating in competitive games should also be considered a crime.
people never think their at risk, until it happens and its much too late. I recall an event probably a decade ago somewhere in Asia, where a player found one of the other players at the event was cheating. Ended up putting a knife through his skull.
as someone that reached ~20-22k elo with my friends i have to say that them saying "oh its so hard to reach these ranks and if people can do that they all play faceit" is not even close to true - My friends and I did play faceit, reached lvl 10 and then didnt feel any motivation to continue, especially since they hardcoded 64tick into cs2. its still a barrier of entry to have the anti cheat running (with cs2's current performance makes some of my friends lag real bad) etc. just kindly fuck off the official gamemode and circlejerk in your own hvh league if you must. saying users of their product dont meet legit players and it "doesnt hurt anyone" is just such a blatant lie..
That Avitomin guy saying his community majorly plays on HvH server is completely delusional. He got 128 wins in premiere mode. Not to mention saying that 80-90% of cheaters playing HvH is just a made up number to reduce their own "guilt" into saying "yea people complain to people who arent even cheating and just accuse them". The 30€ a month argument in relation to HvH and “knowing what they need it for” doesn’t hold up well imo. Often times a higher price suggests it is associated with quality by most people. This causes people to think that they won’t be banned or detected as easily.
