This is practically one of the games that's been catching a lot of attention lately. Especially here in my country (Philippines). I'm planning to host a tournament myself.
I didn't even realize this was coming out until I walked past it at Essen Spiel. Picked it up right away. This rules video came just at the right time. 😅
Thanks for the video. As always a very good explanation. Very happy I got my first edition not that long ago. With the special foil cards in there. Still haven't gotten to playing it, been kind of putting it off, because I would have to learn the rules and such. This helps a lot though. You really know how to explain the rules very simple and concise. Making it easier to understand than most others that explain board games. :D
Man you've really mastered that trademark box throw at the beginning (and picking the box with one hand without looking)... Amazing rotation with the title perfectly displayed on camera... Just curious: how many takes does it take you on average to do it so perfectly?!! Love it...
@@WatchItPlayed it's impossible that you get it perfectly on the first video take everytime, not with the title perfectly oriented like that, no way... It's perfect on every video... You know what: you should have a blooper video where you show all the misses, it would be hilarious!!
I looked online and BGG and found nothing of use. I have a question. Golden bat card “like a flash of golden light” if golden bat shares no zones with the space he started this turn in, this cards value is 4 instead. Dose that mean in defence as long as he is not in the same zone as another fighter the card is worth 4?
I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. Normally I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek, but perhaps you can start a post there that the publisher might see and respond to. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
Love it! Quick question: during combat with a villain or minion, if the hoax/reshuffle card is pulled as its attack or defense card, are the zero values used as their attack or defense card? Or is a new card drawn? Or is it regarded as a more powerful "feint" and you just completely miss the defending minion or villain? It just seems strange thematically to be attacking a hoax.
Hi Rob - you would use it's printed attack and defense values (zero). Only once the card is going to the discard pile is it's reshuffle effect triggered.
Great video! I have a really specific question: Black Panther has several card effects that let him take an opponents card to store in his vibranium suit. Would that work against villains or minions? Especially for the deception cards...

An FAQ on the Kickstarter page for Unmatched Adventures addresses Black Panther specifically: "A few heroes are not suitable to play against the villains due to the player interaction required, e.g., Black Panther from the upcoming Marvel - For King and Country set." (So, yeah, Black Panther not really playable in this mode, unfortunately).

Hello, I was wondering about a rule I haven't found; from either the PDF of the Rulebook or this Video. I can't seem to find a rule on Exhausted Decks, is that in this Version, or is this Version Different?
Do you mean in regards to exhausted player decks? That's part of the core Unmatched rules that aren't different from competitive Unmatched. Since that works the same way, it's not covered in the rules for this mode, or this video (but you'll find it in this games included competitive rules, and the competitive rules tutorial video). Hope that helps!
I don't recall what the video says by memory, but if it doesn't say that the rule has changed in this mode, then it's the same as in the competitive mode.
JUST got this today via UPS, I was a backer on Kickstarter since I'm a huge fan of the series Unmatched...I'm trying to get all the ones available and I'm doing pretty good...I need the other Marvel ones aside from Teen Spirit and I need the Oda Nobunaga vs Tomoe Gozen coming out later...so I'm doing pretty good on getting everything together. Glad I got Deadpool and Bruce Lee early on when is tarted collecting the series...they sell out on the main Mondo and Restoration Games sites pretty quick.
