Man, this is my all-time favorite generation, and I don't think there'll be anything that I like that would be better. The music, the story, the Pokemon - they're all just amazing. The DS games were definitely GAME FREAK's days of glory. I hope they can eventually reignite the spark they once had.

Yeah man black and white was my introduction to Pokémon and imo it couldn’t have been a better one. When I was a kid I’d just go to an area with great music (which was like all of them) and just set my ds down and listen to it. Some of the Pokémon tho I have to be honest aren’t that great but the great ones far outnumber the weak ones

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate 💦 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time 🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone, 🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well. ☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/ phone, a few pens, paper or whatever you need. 📖 Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐕 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. Man, I came back to this for the first time since August and I just wanted to say that Unova is my favorite generation and Pokemon White was my first game. The nostalgia I get just reading the name "Unova" is insane. I love this generation for the story, the pokemon, the characters and the memories and friends I've made since then because of these games. I wish I could experience "The Feeling" when you play your first Pokemon game not knowing the amount of memories and pure unbridled joy you'll experience. The original feeling, if you know what I mean. And while we're on this topic, I'll talk about a special friend I made. His name was Michael, but he went by Mikey. We met at a young age and shared the love of Pokemon. We grew up on it, together. He was my best friend. One day I was running errands with my mom and when we got in our car my mom got a horrible text from Mikey's aunt saying he died in a head on collision. We arrived at my house and I never spoke for a week. I got over it but it took a long time to recover. he was 12 when he died. That 5 years ago now and I'm 17. Now, I can look back on the fond memories I made with him. I can smile when i think about him now because of the memories and that I know he's looking down at me, watching over. It was a great 9 years knowing him. I love you Mike, we all do. Fly high buddy. Sorry for the rant, i just had to get this off my chest and i figured this is a good place to do so. And sorry abt the sappy stuff as well.

I remember the absolutely massive excitement I had for Black and White back when I was in elementary school, and I would always keep up with leaks and rumors with the game because I just couldn’t wait. I love this game so much and what it gave my childhood. I hope someday gamefreak can capture that magic again, but maybe for me now those days are long gone.

I absolutely love Unova for a variety of reasons. Of course the big one, Nostalgia, Black V2 was my first ever Pokémon game, so of course I still love going back to check the old save file and see my Audino I lovingly named “Sparecole” (I was six and had no clue how sparkle was spelt) It also helps that Unova’s based off America, and I as an American six year old loved that. I also remember so many of the gyms vividly, my favorite gym leader of all time is Roxy, why? Because I would spend so much time just sitting in her gym listening to her sing and pretending to be a fan, or a part of her band. I loved poison types so that was also a plus for me lol I somewhat have trouble telling regions apart unless they have a big setting change like Alola, but I can still remember Unova. I loved that one area where people could set up stores so much, I’d bike back and forth for hours for honestly no reason, I think I thought that if I was there long enough more people would appear. I’m just now realizing why Alola is my second favorite region, it brings back so many of these things from Unova plus it has its own quirks that I can’t help but enjoy. I can almost barely remember the game (I’ve been replaying it recently but I haven’t gotten past the fourth gym yet), I don’t think I even completed it, but I still love it so much. Unova’s composed of tons of fond memories and favorite Pokémon for me, I’m keeping a Levanny on my current team even if Bug is not the best choice to have on your squad, the whole line is just too cute-! Sorry for blabbering on, but thank you for reading, it’s fun to reminisce

God, I love this so much. Unova was my first Region, playing Pokemon Black on my DS Lite was my first experience with a truly single player story based experience. Everything about Unova is just so amazing to me, from the story, to the characters and the evil team, to the ost. Each gym leader was memorable to me, and my partners along the way were indispensable. My Samurott and Stoutland were the ultimate team. Unfezant, Cobalion, Tornadus, Reshiram, the rest of my team were no slouch either. I love Unova so much and it will always be my favorite region.

Gen 5 is underrated. It has great story + proper sequels, which had never been done before or since. The music is great. The characters are great. The pokemon are actually pretty good too. They're not as overly designed as gen 4. The legendaries are proper legendaries too. None of those universe shaping bs, just good legends. The only drawback is that they tried to mimic gen 1 too much and that no old pokemon were in the first game, which probably alienated some people.

I said this on the Sinnoh edition and I'll say it again here, but Unova is my favorite soundtrack cause it just has so many bops. In terms of overall relaxing music, I still give it to Sinnoh, but Unova will always have it down in terms of overall quality and catchiness. These rule and I cannot wait for future installments.

Remember when you would wake up next morning, still sleepy from playing Pokemon, and then your family says its time to go to the mall, then you hop in the car and play with your DS, then when you got to the mall, you would still be playing it while walking alongside your family, not knowing where you were going until you got there... Good Times.
