About Me: Hello! My name is Erika, I am a wife and stay at home mom. I created my channel to keep busy while I learned to navigate life as a SAHM and to give myself accountability to get things done around my home. We recently moved from Arizona to Texas and downsized (2800 sq ft to 1200 sq ft). I've documented our downsizing journey from the beginning starting with decluttering and getting rid of over 50% of our belongings. I'm not an expert, I am just sharing our journey, along with my thoughts and struggles I encounter in the process. Now that we are in our new space I will be sharing with you how we get settled and organized into a much smaller home while maintaining a sense of minimalism. Being minimal is the only way our new home will work for us. I hope you decide to stick around!

Hey Erika, you are doing an amazing job! Decluttering a little at a time is the best way to do it so you don’t get overwhelmed. It’s sad to me that you have to make disclaimers and explain yourself! Hi Joy! I'm going at my own pace, which I'm okay with. It'll get done when it gets done is my attitude about it. We've been working on making space which I haven't really shared but perhaps I will. I think it's the people pleaser in me that feels I have to explain myself BUT we both know that's not necessary. Hope you have a good weekend my friend.

Erika, no judgment here, letting go of things can be very hard. 1st you had to let go of things and then you moved back to your 1st home. Do not let people influence you to get rid of things, its between you and your husband. Donating things is the way im going too its just much easier mentally for me anyway. If there's something you think you might still want don't let it go put it in a separate pile and go through it in about 6 months and see if you still want it or not. As you know my current situation. I've been putting all my pictures in one box and we'll go through them later on this year. Hello Lisa. Your advice is absolutely my thought process, perhaps I'll keep some now (blankets, hehe) but each time I am able to get rid of more so it all adds up at the end. Giving away is easiest for me too, mentally as well. It makes me feel better knowing that someone will gladly take my junk =) Your situation is tough, that's a hard thing to do. TAKE YOUR TIME, it's understandable. Maybe try digitizing your photos. Most of ours are digital, which is good and bad because I can't go back and look at them easily because there are SO MANY but I plan to go through them soon. Iliana says we don't have any baby videos of her, we do, they are just stored somewhere on the cloud, hehe! Have a happy easter my friend, sending you love and hugs always, I appreciate you.

@SheWolfMom Erika, I have many pictures on jump-drives and cds. I'm struggling even looking at pictures right now. I've got a few out still, but that's it. That's funny that the cloud has them.
