I'm delighted to hear that your presentation was well-received! Here's an expanded description tailored for a general RU-vid audience with a reading level of about 10 to 12 years:
Welcome to our latest video where we explore a fascinating question: 'Where Should I Live in France?' Instead of just looking at locations, we dive deeper into how our choices in life shape where we feel at home. This isn't just about finding a place on a map, but about understanding what makes a place right for you.
In this presentation, we use a famous idea called Maslow's hierarchy of needs to help explain why we prefer certain places over others. This concept is like a pyramid with different levels of needs, from the basic needs like food and shelter, all the way up to achieving your fullest potential. By understanding this, we can better choose where to live based not just on what a place looks like, but how it meets our deeper needs.
We've also added a fun twist by presenting these ideas through a 1950s trivia night style! This makes learning about psychology entertaining and relatable. Whether you're thinking about moving or just curious about how people make these big decisions, this video will give you some fresh insights into what to consider beyond the obvious.
So, grab your favorite snack, sit back, and enjoy as we uncover the deeper questions of choosing the best place to live in France. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you find this video helpful!

Excellent video! Bonjour! We are retired educators. We just finished a long stay in Europe: 5 months helping a new school open in Lvivv, one month in Krakow learning about WWII, and a month in Tallinn. My teacher's pensions and our social security, plus rental income, qualify us for the Long Stay Visa. But we are not sure which area of France is best for us as seniors. Healthcare (my wife has MS), public transportation (we loved the trains in Poland), and within walking distance to markets are important (moderate climate; extremes are problematic). Merci! Dean & Cindy *great teaching demo! **Maslow!!

Love this video! I do hyper romanticize living in France, although I am also very down to earth, so I realize that I am doing so. I no longer dream of moving to France, but I fully intend to spend a few months of the year living there as long as I can. I enjoyed the quiz and it did reveal the kind of lifestyle I live now, and how I like to live in France. What a fun and helpful video!

This was a fun video but also enlightening. I would likely be happy in a city or maybe a suburb. Thank you, Shannon.

Great video! Thanks! My wife and I plan on retiring in a couple of years and moving from LA to Europe. My wife prefers Germany because she's German and because her family is there, but we're not really sure WHERE we might live there. I'd prefer France for a number of reasons… the food being one. I speak French well enough to generally get by (learned it way back when from 1st to 12th grades) but also German, though not as well, and I wouldn’t consider myself truly FLUENT in French. My wife speaks Germany fluently (it is her first language) and absolutely NO French. On the quiz, I was absolutely both directions with no clear “winner.” On the one hand, I'd love to live someplace like Paris, though in something bigger than a closet and more like the 100 sm condo we're in now. Someplace with tons of stuff to do, and where you can just walk around the corner and get a baguette. But on the flip side, I'm NOT big into friends, or “sports clubs” or anything like that, and would love to be someplace where the baker and the butcher and I know each other on a first name basis. I'd LOVE to be able to buy a chateau and spend my days fixing it up because that IS, sort of, a hobby (fixing walls, and painting walls, and building stuff, and that sort of thing).
