Nikki I am so happy for you and your family it is a lovely home, and I think the weather in Utah is not as hot as Las Vegas in which is great. I want to take a moment to say this is one of the things that I love about you. You are very respectful of the past owner who was the lady of the house. I also love how nice you were to the past owner's husband. I love how you took a moment to honor her, and you will be a lovely new lady of this house. God bless you all and congratulations on your home ownership. By the way I love the dishes it's like a housewarming gift from the last lady of the house.

This is SO much fun to watch! A very wise woman once said something to me that I have always remembered. She said, "It takes 5 years to set up your kitchen." Hahaha! It sounds ridiculously long but it's pretty darn accurate. Think of how much you arrange and re arrange your kitchen. I am just saying that so you don't over think or stress about the "right" place to put things. A well arranged kitchen runs like a smooth machine and it take a lot of time and trial and error to get it to that place. Just put things in cupboards. That's all you have to do right now, especially when you have a million things that need your attention all at once. God bless you and your family in your new lovely home. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

So happy for you. When we moved 14 yrs ago out of the family heritage house, it took almost a year before we were happy with where things were placed, the kitchen was my biggest challenge. Enjoy the process. It is your dreamed of home. Enjoy the blessing.

You may want a carpet cleaner to come clean in for you, that's what we did and I was happy with it. We just downsized last year and the carpet was only 2 years old but having it cleaned definitely freshened it up!

I'm wired similar when it comes to the kitchen. A prep area and then the serve and store area. The dishes will be close to the dishwasher too. It just makes the most sense I think. Thanks for working through your headache to share this video with us.

This home looks so like "your style"! Maybe it is the light blue walls and bright sunshine coming in the windows. The one thing I was sad to see you leave in the previous hom, was the beautiful painted wall that your daughter just did. Maybe she will paint a wall for you here in this home someday?

You have a setting that befits you, so happy for you and your husband, it’s exciting to move into a new house! And it is a dream house. At the end where you’re in the green garden, you look like you belong there, your home and garden matches you ❤ I love the beautiful staircase and railing and skylight, so elegant, large rooms, one of them looks like an English drawing room, floor to ceiling windows, glass doors, very nice kitchen, the built in bookcases in the library? downstairs. Cant wait to see how you arrange furniture and the different spaces. I agree with where you put the plates and silverware. Congratulations!

Oh Nikki! This is exquisite! Truly a gorgeous home! Thank you for sharing this journey - we recently moved and it was a mess of a place and it’s been such a long, hard season and this is just giving me such encouragement to find the joy in own home and keep making it our own, in a peaceful pleasant way! (It’s hard to renovate and live in messes etc nonetheless)! 🙏🏻🩷

You are lucky to be able to move in gradually and take your time. When everything gets delivered at once it feels like chaos and a huge mountain to climb to get it all unpacked and put away. The Dutch style china set is lovely, I hope you keep it. Enjoy!

Yes, I also have a tough question for Nikki. Perhaps too personal but I can respect if you decline of course. How does your son feel about yall basically moving into your dream house and seeing this and he's not going to experience this with yall? Is he disappointed or ok but preoccupied with his new found freedom living on his own? Just curious and I realized timing is never perfect in this life!
