🏕️ Location: Bambara Kanda is located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, near the picturesque town of Ella. Our glamping site is perched on the edge of a lush rainforest, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and the iconic Ella Rock.
Colombo to Ella via Road:
The most common way to travel to Ella is by road.
The distance from Colombo to Ella by road is approximately 200 to 230 kilometers (124 to 143 miles).
The journey by car or bus can take approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.
Colombo to Ella via Train:
Another popular option is to take a scenic train ride from Colombo to Ella, which is known for its stunning views.
The train journey covers a distance of around 280 to 300 kilometers (174 to 186 miles).
The train ride typically takes longer, around 7 to 9 hours, but it offers a unique and picturesque experience.
