wonyoungism is just a bunch of teenagers on tiktok buying aesthteically pleasing korean/japanese products and swearing that makes them better than everyone else. It stopped being about trying your best, taking care of yourself and self respect too elitism.
What I've noticed with twice's title tracks is that they rely too heavily on the 80s sound when trying to do a more mature concept despite the 80s wave in both kpop and American music dying out a few years ago. And this maybe an unpopular opinion but I think that Gfriend had a better transition into doing mature concepts than Twice, which may have been due to the fact their title tracks earlier in their career centered on their image as school girls until they eventually started tackling themes like the lost school friendships during adulthood later on. Overall, Gfriend's creative direction made it feel like we were growing up with the members.
