there was no one with him, the tank was already doing his own thing, he even looked around and no teammates were there and he went in on his own.

He was Rank 1 multiple times in overwatch 1 so it doesn't shock me. He knows the game like the back of his hand

Please also note that game detects your perfomance and MMR and sky rockets you to your "own elo" hence he also easily climbs extremely fast. But still impressive!

Apart from talent, mechanics and game knowledge, he probably has played more genji in one week than i play in a year

Absolutely the ranked integrity has taken a nosedive off a cliff in OW2. People got ping systems so are even less inclined to be in vc now, very few people actually tryhard anymore, now you just gotta be middle of plat to be in t10% of playerbase.. There are still some great players, but on average from my experience people in higher ranks put way less effort into team play and coordination compared to OW1, where you literally had to be a mechanical aim god or amazing playmaker to even breach into low GM.

Its to lessen the impact of smurfs on lower ranks. It makes sense right? I believe smurfs are less of an issue now in OW2. Thats just my perception so I'm not entitely sure. I would be interested in seeing if he stays top 500 if he plays it for a few more days. See if it's inflated or not, I guess not, but idk.

@@danielh12345 possibly, Ive gone through 2 accounts already just trying to stay in diamond playing with my friend and being advanced to gm+ while hard sandbagging. Funny enough, he was diamond 2 going to rank up, and i watched it live from his discord stream, game put him in gold 4, I couldnt believe it lmfao.

Yea but awkward doesn't go to t500. Not saying he isnt good enought to get to t500 but grinding through gm takes a long time. His 2 hours 100% winrate wouldn't have been possible to t500.

@@apowers2862 the 100% wr is possible but yeah no way in 2 hours to t500. Just the queue times, waiting in spawn at round starts, etc will slow you down way too much even if you ended every game ludicrously fast (which won't happen, some games are obv gonna drag on).

I believe those are 2 hours of game time for awkward right? Top500 in a 6 hour stream is impressive coz that includes queue time and anything between games
