Jordan has said nothing but good things about Pippen over the years

"Whenever they speak about Micheal Jordan, they should also speak about Scottie Pippen." That's an exact quote from Jordan in 2020.

Pippen did get a chance to score in that same game he missed. So Phil went too Kukoc to hit the game winning shot. No one talks about that.

I keep hearing this described as the “Pippen/Jordan” feud. I don’t understand this take, but I see it a lot. This is the Pippen feud. Jordan has remained above board. “When you speak Jordan you should speak Scottie Pippen. I didn’t win without Scottie.” Also, “and that’s why I consider Scottie Pippen my greatest teammate of all time.” Guy played with James Worthy too, so not like that was small praise. I loved Pip as a kid, but he’s in the wrong. Hope he can get his insecurities figured out. Life’s too short to allow issues from 30 years ago to consume you.

Scottie knew the 94 incident was going to be in the documentary. The reason why Scottie got upset is not because of the last dance it was because of the reaction from the LBJ nuthuggers in the media, like Shannon Sharpe, Colin Cowturd, Nick Wrong, and Kendrick Short Bus Perkins. Scottie had no problem with it until he saw their reactions on TV, then he had a problem. Scottie is mad because of outside influence not because of what he saw in the documentary. I don't know why people always leave this out when they talk about the last dance and what happened in the 93-94 playoffs and what happened in 97-98 season. They always talk about it from Scottie's point of view and not what really happened in that documentary. Scottie Pippen knew the 94 incident would be in the last dance, and he knew they would talk about Him getting foot surgery right before the 97-98 season. In reference to 94 incident, Scottie, out of his own mouth, said, "IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN, I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!" In reference to getting foot surgery right before the 97-98 season, Scottie said, "I WASN'T GOING TO RUIN MY SUMMER VACATION!" They filmed these interviews with all of the players between 2018 and 2019; the last dance premiered in 2020, and Scottie knew this was in the documentary. Also, If you noticed, MJ was not reacting to a question; he was reacting to what was shown to him on a Tablet. I think the director showed MJ what Scottie said about his foot surgery. MJ called Scottie selfish because he said, "I WASN'T GOING TO RUIN MY SUMMER VACATION!" MJ was responding to Scottie's own words, not what happened. MJ did not know why Scottie got Surgery right before the 97-98 season until he heard Scottie's words.

I can’t believe Pippen wants to bash somebody who carried him to six championships and made him a star.

The bitterness is only coming from Pippin's side.

MJ said publically that he doesn't approve of his son dating Larsa Pippen.

Hoping this rift will be resolved someday. These two were the best duo in the 90s. They complemented each other's skills and play style.

Jordan only played 2 full seasons in the NBA before Pippen was drafted...on a rebuilding team in his rookie year, a few games in his second year before the stress fracture, and his third year when he faced the 86 Celtics in the playoffs. So to say he didn't have "great team success" without Pippen is not exactly fair. There's a small sample size to work with there.

I disagree with scottie about 93-94 season shouldnt be included. That actually showed what the team was missing and when he came back it showed it was back to buisness. He also put in there in 95 when anderson stole the ball from him upon his return from that long layoff so yeah pip needs to get over that part.

I have been a fan of MJ since 1990, he is the indisputable GOAT, with Pip, I have never seen a duo so effective and complementary for so long, the two trained together, won 6 titles + dreamteam 92, I don't understand how Pippen insulted MJ like that, all these years together, with success and trials, work etc... it can't just evaporate like that!! Haven't heard one word from MJ; so there is no feud between them. The feud seems to be between Scottie and his own insecurity about certain MJ fans in the media referring to him as a "sidekick" or a "Robin". MJ never used words like that; it was always words like "tandem" and "invaluable". As ego-driven as MJ may be, I sincerely doubt that he meant any disrespect whatsoever in TLD; and if Scottie had responded differently and gone to MJ directly and discreetly man-to-man and told him his feelings (and i do understand Pip's feelings), MJ would have made a public statement re-affirming his belief that Pippen was invaluable to the team and to himself and truly one of the best players of all time. MJ has never publicly wavered from that high opinion of Pip---not in the press, not in any book, not in the HOF induction---and i don't expect he ever will. Pip's actions may have ended whatever relationship there was between the men, but they won't make MJ change his tune about how great Pip was on the court.

What Pippen forgets to mention is that in that Game 3, he had and missed the previous 2 shots BEFORE the final shot ... So basically he just didn't get a 3rd shot after missing the first two. And Kukoc was a multiple Euro champion, so whilst he may have been a rookie in the NBA he was a multiple time Euro Player of the Year already so he was legit! And also Kukoc was a better shooter than Pipp in no small part thanks to his unusual (at the time) combination of height 6 10 - 6 11 and the agility of a Small Forward.

Phil Jackson's play for Toni Kukoc, worked during the regular and also Kukoc had some clutch shots that season as well. Every reason to run that play for Kukoc.

There is a little bit of truth in Pippen's criticism before Pippen joined the BUlls. Jordan was a little selfish. But then again he did not have confidence in his teammates. It changed down the road.
