Today, I am going to implement a detection meter for AI character sight component in unreal engine 4. You must have seen detection meters in games like farcry 5 farcry 3 and and also in assassins creed games when player goes into the vision cone of an enemy character, a detection meter starts to fill and when go out from that area, the detection level decrease. I am going to implement a similar type detection meter in unreal engine 4 for my game.

the detection meter is not filling up, means when enemy sees me it fills up a little then it stops....when i tried to use a while loop(while detecting, detection level++) it showed an infinity loop error

hi there is an issue with when the AI is detecting you and you move away and then go back into sight of the AI before the bar has gone completely down it will stay at its last filled amount and will stay on screen

you can set global time dialation to a lower value for a limited period to do that. I have done that in melee combat when enemy is killed and enable ragdoll part.

my Ai Is not sensing my player....lyk he was sensing at first but after some moment it is not doing its work...help me:(

@@CodeLikeMe Until 3:43 very bad then become normal then to the end the video Quality changing between bad to medium but almost medium.

Hi, i want to suggest you to make a new feature: In this video you are in a fortress, the soldier extract her weapon when watch the palyer, at this point, you can make another soldier type: This soldier extract her weapon when watch the player with a weapon on her hands. With tis soldier type, it's possible to make neutral cities, fortress, etc..

Yes. Possible. If you modify the isEnemy function to return true only if the weapon is equipped, enemies will behave in that way. You can create neutral forts like that as well
