In this tutorial, we will train an AI character for shooting battles using the Learning Agents plugin in Unreal Engine 5.4. There are 2 parts tutorials. In this first part, we will train the red AI character to shoot multiple targets. You will learn how to set up the Learning Agents Interactor, Learning Agents Trainer, and Learning Agents Manager with a third-person character.

You can use everything in your project. Under CC BY license, but you don’t need to credit me.

hei Jourverse， I wonder after I complete this part and hit play button, the training seems stuck after a certain period and then recover. And I check the log, is it because every traning iteration will have something like a brake(a short stuck in the game)?

Spawning multiple agents at the same time can cause the PC to become temporarily stuck. I experience this too.

Hey there! Thanks for the great tutorial! I've downloaded your project files on this project and ran into a python problem. I also followed the "Learn to Drive" tutorial and at the end when testing ran into the same error: "LogLearning: Error: TrainerR_0: Can't find Python executable "../../../../../AllUEProjects/LearnShooting/Intermediate/PipInstall/Scripts/python.exe". I checked the folder and there is a python executable in there, but I can't seem to run any simulations because of this error (I have the python editor script plugin enabled btw.) Thanks very much for an answer, I didn't find anyone with the same problem yet in the forums, would really appreciat your insights on this.

I guess you might have forgotten to enable the 'Learning Agent' plugin in that project after downloading it. Because after I zip the project, the plugin might automatically disable. Let me know if this is the case. And make sure your project have the correct Unreal Engine version.

@@jourverse Thanks for the reply! The Learning Agents plugin is enabled, I also get all the agents registered with their IDs in the log (though they sometimes seem to have the same ID), but after that I get spammed with the same line I posted before. Any other ideas by chance?

Yes, it is possible. You can add jump action in BP_LearningAgentsInteraction.

Hi! Your tutorials are Gold! But the accent is heavy. Very hard to understand what you say. Can you please use some good TTS. There's plenty of models even for free.

Thank you for your suggestion. English isn't my first language, and I rarely use it for speaking. However, I hope I will improve if I continue practicing. If I stop speaking, my skills will worsen. I'll consider adding accurate subtitles for the video next time.
