This is part 1 in my Ladder tutorial series. This will cover how to create a procedural and modular ladder. It includes: customisable ladder height, customisable bar gap heights, different end pieces, option to have screws on the back, and the screw interval.
You can use the same techniques employed in this video to add more modular mechanics to the ladder such as guard pieces.

At 8:30 there's an issue where the while loop check fails and prevents the bars from instancing. Setting the condition to true causes UE5 to freeze, which looks like while loop issue. Any idea why this is happening? I checked all variables to ensure that all values reflect what's shown in the video.

Try to do all the code in the construction script before actually connecting the first one to the construction node and see if that helps.

Thanks, I had to hack quite a bit for it to work, far more trial and error than I can explain but eventually I was able to get a working ladder that I can somehow replicate. I'm still struggling with an issue that if I climb off an instanced version, I get swept to 0,0,0 instead of dropping in place, but that's a problem for another day.

When i compile to after creating the ladder gap my unreal freezes everytime, even attempted it two times, 2 different blueprint, it crashes when i compile at that point
