Hi Mr Poseidon.....I've been following your climbing mechanics series and I was wondering.....can any of this be reworked/repurposed for a Shadow of the Colossus type of climbing where the player can procedurally climb a moving fully animated skeletal mesh?
Hello. Thanks and sorry for the late reply. This can be repurposed but I would not recommend it as it was designed specifically for regular ledge climbing. However, I made a wall climbing system recently in the parkour series and that will be a lot more suitable for shadow of the colossus style climbing so I would recommend having a look at that. Let me know if you need further help :D
Hi, nice video but about the freehang animation when I don't have any wall on the botton of the body it doesn't change the animation, is always the braced one, do you know how to fix that??? Thanks if someone can answer
I showed how to do that starting in the first ledge climbing part. Maybe you might have to change some values in the function so that you detect for walls at a lower or higher point than currently.
@@edu_mag0018 if the trace is working then check the code after and make sure the variable for free hanging is being set correctly. If not then maybe there is an error in the anim bp.
@@UE4Poseidon okay then I will look the anim bp because the rest is correct, I followed all the videos and all the changes that you have done, the good thing is that most of it is working, so thanks for all this videos ❤ I will try to figure it out, if not then I will leave like that because is working at least one animation
