The first-ever Unreal Engine SIGGRAPH User Group held at LA's Orpheum Theater on July 31, 2017 was a jam-packed, 100-minute showcase, featuring 20 presenters across multiple industries. In addition to announcing the Datasmith beta, our workflow toolkit for architectural and design visualization, we covered real-time production ('The Human Race', 'Fortnite: A Hard Day's Nite', 'Zafari'), digital humans ('Meet Mike'), autonomous driving (Zoox), large datasets (HOK, CityEngine), and new Unreal integrations (Twinmotion, V-Ray). We’d like to thank the guest presenters and contributors who made it such a success: aXYZ Anima, Chaos Group V-Ray, Digital Dimension, Esri CityEngine, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, HOK, Lissoni Associati, Mike Seymour, Twinmotion, Zoox. This is amazing, specifically the Fortnite animation. Will we ever get a tutorial or in depth breakdown of the hydrid alembic fbx workflow??

Will Unreal be releasing the High Fidelity Cinematic Rig for facial animation? You guys should have do a live session on making of A Hard Day's Nite.

If I understood correctly, in the future we will be able to integrate Twinmotion file into the UE4 ?

Then it beats the purpose of Datasmith workflow for most users. I can make a complete scene in twinmotion in a matter of few hours while getting the same thing in max would take days and in the end both models are gonna be powered by UE so the quality is gonna be the same. We shall see how both of those will compare qualitatively. Anyway those are great news.

C++ is not that bad Unreal Takes care of all of the memory management so it basically becomes a slightly more complex c# from my prospective

I mean the garbage collection C# provides is great and all but if you consider the development to multi platform Unity still has to compile the C# code and transfer it to C++ binaries. So from a compile time over head doesn’t make sense to me.

Yes do a UT 2005 ,Onslaught on a 100 mile long map -finally -anway i did in build engine a zigzag map that took 30 min running from start to end -die once and restart from the beginning and if wasn't a corridor but outside gemetry map-not completed of course.

People had the same bugs in 4.16 and even after 3 previews for 4.17, same bugs, I was waiting for 4.17 to solve things and got frustrated... lucky I have a 4.15 backup
