In this episode, I am going to improve my ledge climbing system in unreal engine 4. For now, the character just climb to the ledge with jump. Now, I am going to make the character hang on the ledge first if the ledge is too high and then move to the top of the ledge.

Thanks for the feedback. What made it difficult for you? Unclear explanations or difficult subject matter?

@@CodeLikeMe At around 37:35 when you skipped some recording and show what changes you made the part about moving the capsule to the ledge didnt show where you started that from. I had to set the speed down to its lowest to follow that wire across when you show you putting the debug to none on both line traces. I didn't see any part where you added the sequence node either but that may have been my own fault.

Just checking buddy! Have you made a video of how to climb down from a ledge to then hang from the ledge?

Cool, does this address the big I mentioned in the previous video where if you’re trying to climb a ledge from the opposite side you need to add the normal to a minus number?

You lost me halfway after you say this branch. Which one? And you say "this" a lot. Could you be more specific about your instructions and read out what nodes are exactly being connected to where please? I don't mean to be stingy or rude, it's just these tutorials are REALLY important to me, and I LOVE the format of your work ie tutorials so far. I know I can get it done right if I just get a bit more details on the instructions. Please keep up the good work 💪✌

But English isn't his native language

@@magiclake9454 I can understand the forced implications from my comment posted. Frankly it bothers me when I get thumbs up for posting something so scathing ( makes me wonder who reads these comments at times). That said, Actually english native speakers do this too, and I hate it. It's not about whether you know english or not. Its not about having english as your native language. It's about giving instructions clearly enough for the tutorial to be easy to follow instead of shortening it down to, "put this here, and this over there". They like to only say the word maybe not to waste time or as if you the viewer already know what they're doing. If I'm watching this on my computer and have the engine open in a separate window or monitor and midway through following your tutorial there are tons of nodes and routes everywhere and you say put this here. Ill be lost. I'd have to stop what I'm doing and watch you because the instruction put this here is not helpful enough. "This" refers to a node and a node has a name. If I say pick this up that's not clear enough. I have to tell you the name of the thing to pick up or you'd be lost. You'd have to ask me what needs to be picked up. What is "this" called? Where is "here"? Why not just call the node by its name, and tell me which input or output of which node it goes into and I will be able to follow with ease. Again I apologize for the suggestive tone but you really missed the point of what Im trying to say. Trust me his tutorials are WAAAAAY better than a few others I've seen. I can tell you right now the worst but that would be unfair to them. They put in the hours and effort into sharing their knowledge and skills sometimes for free, but this was just a thought I noticed in a lot of tutorials.
