In this quick video, I show how I modified the JSBSim plugin to working over networking. The location/rotation of the aircraft as well as the positions of the control surfaces are replicated across the network.

Cheers Jrun21 - you rock! Just swapped over to Rider, your series have given me the confidence to at least attempt to favor C++ over Blueprints.

If you already know Blueprints, you’ve learned the hard part, which is the unreal api. Once you know the unreal api it’s just a matter of learning the c++ syntax, and it’s really not that bad. Modern IDEs help a lot with Intellisense and code generation. Visual Studio is a lot better than it used to be, but I still prefer Rider.
