Jenin Younes is Litigation Counsel for the New Civil Liberties Alliance and was one of the most important civil rights attorneys during the COVID era. She joined me to discuss the broad political coalition that opposed mandates and lockdowns but is now fracturing over the war in Gaza.

Thank you both. I have been a Covid dissident since 2020, I have been absolutely disgusted by the people I thought were in my friend groups. I even went on one of their podcasts. To then see their remarks, and outright nastiness on Twitter after 10/07 against Palestinians, Arabs turned my stomach. I tried to ignore them but I finally had enough. I started calling them out.

You have a spectrum from black to white for identifying people with all others in the middle being defined by country/region of origin or language influence. To make things worse you will rarely find a person "white as snow" or a person "black as soot" because most people are in a spectrum of varying shades of brown, gold and red with the those varying shades being lighter or darker. So not only do we have media agency that prop us this fake paradigm, they won't acknowledge that these labels are inconsistent with reality and how skin color actually appears with in varying light intensities or types of lighting. And we know that many will fight to keep this fallacy, this matrix alive because many of us aren't ready to be woken from the spell. Red pill or blue pill, the choice is up to you. You can either keep the fallacy and matrix alive or you change the words you use and you change the world. Either we are all people or color or no one is a person of color. Why should ould we continue to use a classification system set up by racists? Even words like Latino or Hispanic are used to erase the fact that people were here and language and culture before colonial powers arrived and attempted to erase that. We can either stay stagnated in the status quo paradigm or rise out of and create our own paradigm that actually reflects reality, not a false world view that was forced into people by colonial powers. That is imperial lingo that props up imperial paradigms that keep us divided and make us easier to conquer. Instead of the 1% vs the 99% we are fragmented and therefore fat weaker
