Unreleased Games | Powerslide FX [SNES, 3DO] 

Glad to get some background on this game! Thanks! Wanted to let folks know that all of the textured polygonal gameplay and UI and character selection video in the middle of this video comes from the 3DO version. And the SuperFX chips were invented by Argonaut to render polygonal 3D graphics, not to increase the SNES's memory. Other, much simpler, and thus cheaper, chips already expanded the SNES's memory.

I haven't had a chance to play this yet, but I have acquired the 3DO version . This was a very interesting video :)

Ach so, the another Powerslide : this was mentioned in a hungarian game mag 576 Kbyte, the news section from a contemporary ECTS, they have not mentioned it to be a SNES FX chip game, i wrongly guessed this became Big Red Racing (PC DOS).

I'd love a completed 3do version 😉

To be honest, this game would've been somewhat better on the Genesis(not with the 32X add-on, oh no no no).

bruh, Steam still takes 30% today. I don't know about UK but common tax in EU is 20%, so you can't possibly ave more than 50%. Games used to cost $60, today at $5 you're going against Just Cause, Wolfenstein, Doom, Witcher, Dark Souls, Deus Ex, etc. So good luck to devs. There's more money to be made selling ice cream on a street corner.

"It actually look like it could have been on a Sega Saturn" You never played a Saturn. This game is way way worse than Virtua Racing Deluxe for 32X, an actual commercial game with flat polygons. Comparing this to full speed and textured Saturn games as Sega Rally, Daytona USA, or Sega Touring Car is just as insane as saying this could be a Playstation game.

Very interesting video. The game reminds me of Finnish DOS game called Rally Sport. Makes me think the developer team would've been better off making shareware games for DOS or Amiga rather than SNES. Much cheaper platform.

If power slide will be released in cartride form ,that would be cool, alltrough am dreaming about a waaay more powerful 3D chip for the snes to get ps1 graphics on snes,because hornestly the super fx chip with supported games for it feels more like an experiment rather then serious games, it ruins the image of the snes by making you believe as if the snes could only do sluggish & slow sake 3D graphics,so it hardly adds any value to your snes,only yoshi’s island is a very very good fx game wich stands the days of time pretty well.
