This one is personal!
I had been preparing for this since August. I'm not saying that this song requires so much time to learn. But I wanted to clear out my double bass drumming to its fullest maximum cleanest potential. In every Skype/Zoom class of mine since August, I had been playing this song to all my students thus practicing it whenever possible. I was in awe of the Jay Weinberg video where he was tracking the drums for this song and had full 16th notes double bass on the intro and verse. I wanted to replicate that and the fact that this song does not follow the metronome precisely, made it more difficult. Luckily, there were drum-less tracks of this song on RU-vid which allowed me to play this without my drums clashing with the original.
