If he continued training throughout the year, like logan did, his technique might've been a lot better under those cicumstances. You could clearly see that he improved, he jabbed a lot better and he actually had defence this time compared to the last fight.

You perform in a spar way better than in a fight due to not having the pressure and adrenaline of performing in front of people. And being honest with you, even right now, if JJ had an actual fight against Gib, he wouldn't handle him not as close as impressively as Jake did, and def wouldn't beat him 1st round.

Also, JJ is far more aggressive and better defensively now I feel as JJ said in many interviews that he used to be afraid of getting hit but now he isn't. Ksi has no power, couldn’t hurt Logan at all, no damage done, not even a scratch. Ksi has no chin, he got floored by the only right Logan threw and he got dropped so hard that the ref had to give him time to rest. Ksi has no stamina, the guy gassed out after 3 rounds. He has no speed, could see his punches from miles away. Ksi took 3 rounds to take out joe weller. Jake used 2 minutes. Ksi got battered by gib in sparring. Jake smoked gib. Ksi got slapped around by Logan who only used his left. Logan lost 2 points at it still was a split decision. Ksi is completely shit when it comes to boxing
