It's not due to the SFM itself, but thanks to the content it's exploiting. The SFM is just an engine tool on equal standing with the Model Editor, the Hammer Map Editor, etc. I know the distinction may seem pedantic but what I'm getting at is, it wouldn't look good if Half-Life: Alyx itself didn't look good. The tool is effectively the same one as I've been using for all my Dota 2 films/shorts/animations since 2015. Thank you very much nonetheless! 😃
