As we have added a new addition to the household, the first thing we thought we should do is tell everyone how to do parenting. Everyone loves unsolicited advice as it's the best kind!!

What do you mean, unsolicited? I've been waiting for this for, what, three months now? 😉 Congrats on your beautiful baby!

I used to work as a respiratory therapist during the delivery portion and just want to say I never got used to how good the room feels when the baby arrives. And the first cry always felt like there’s a bunch of angels in the room celebrating or something. There’s a buzz. Anyways I did a solid INTJ analysis, I’d say the baby is 50% mom and 50% joe lol.

As a nurse, things like human excrements, fluids, nudity, open body wounds all is well. You can adjust to anything and hold composure when you are in a servant hood state of mind. It’s so much better when it’s your kids and those protocols are for the hospital, at home it’s more about their own regulation but following those ideas like windows as long as you are in the thriving windows you are good. Babies are Se I loooooooove Babies!!!!! You guys will like the toddler years and older and yes the J loves that and that structure I do because I’ve always worked with vulnerable populations so they need it but yeah every parent is different and he’s your baby so your gut is a good thing to stand on for what’s happening. Go you guys!!! Also, is your new book in auditory form? Please do it!!! Oh my gosh punnent square Mbti. Haha Deanna I love you yes the auditory version hahah S doms thinking alike haha.

Not that you don't already have the personality knowledge on hand (y'all know the ins and outs, clearly!), but I got a book by Wendy Gossett called "Your Child's Inner Drive: Parenting by Personality" and I think it's the only personality book I have found that is geared towards typing & guiding children in their personality type. Eventually I want to do a video book review for it. It's informative and reads like a guidebook - one that finally does NOT take a "one size fits all" approach to parenting. If you're like me and end up with and ENTP boy, then none of the standard advice books will fit 😆 (hard to raise, but will be an eccentric genius, no doubt. He just turned 6!) Maybe as you gather more personal experience from parenthood, y'all can collaborate on a personality-based book for parenting as well. You'd both be good at it.

I never planned by reading, I blagged it.. we have 3 amazing young men 23,21,18.. I'd say don't judge but listen. As a entp. 23 yr old is a infp, 21 is isfp,18 not sure. I've learnt so much from them as they've from me, their dad is istj . Tho very different and not together any more, but we still work together. Just love them . I might not be the most structured but to me the most important is live your life..and freedom to be you :) Cute baby .

6:36 Best answer ever. SPOILERS Best answer for motivation to have children besides just looking at your royal bundle of joy and your wife radiating joy! BONUS Best motivation to get married. If the eyes are a window to the soul, how can any single man look at how beautiful Deanna looks holding your son and not want to seek out a better half! I think she's got you beat at 60%, sir. It's what made it so difficult to determine the percentage of how much he looks like you or her. I know the correct answer is to say he looks more like his mother until he's a teenager causing a ruckus because then kids are always their father's children/on their father's side of the family until the father agrees (don't agree! it's a trap!), and then the children immediately become their mother's children, and once the children apologize while doing something sweet (which "they didn't have to do"...seriously...mothers' affection for their children are that great), it's a "Do we know you?" when the father is in the room after everything is all hunky dory cuz "It's just my children and me" cuz the mothers' affection for their children is so unbeatable...I'm not just saying this while I stall to think of a percentage...anyone can see the delight in Deanna's eyes...how can anyone compete with that kind of motherly affection? But I'm not a chicken! So I'm going to say it: 51% Deanna 49% Joe. Yep! Taking that stance. Okay comment over. Psstt...you don't have to read this part out loud...Joe...psstt..I think it's 60% you, but because she's 60% your better half...you can still read this part out loud. It could also be because his hair style is closer to your Peaky Blinders hairstyle...that you mentioned that you got on the Dear Kristin podcast! Looking sharp my man! Beautiful family! With the way Deanna was holding him, and that look in his eyes (takes after his mom!), I think he's Kingly material so no need to look at any receipts. You might have an ENTJ like Deanna brought up...which I think you mentioned on the podcast being your favorite type (great choice!). Unless, your son turns out to be an INFP, then it will change. haha You both have such a great sense of humor, and it was awesome to hear how you both prepared with research for your son. That is so wonderful to hear. Thanks for sharing. Best family in type related videos I've seen. I don't want to comment on people channels if I can't call them the best in something because I take that best description seriously, and...I guess I can't help myself. Which is why I appreciate unsolicited advice videos. Even though I think Jenna, Dear Kristin's ENFP sister is better than everybody in type (jk...I take that best description seriously so I have to think about it...but maybeeee) ...I listened to Kristin's interview with her ENTP brother, and you, Deanna, and your amazing son has that family beat! And the best deserves some rest! So hope you three have a very nice rest of your weekend! This was awesome! Take care, Joe!

One doesn’t type children, and certainly not babies, it takes time for the functional stack to develop.

You have a baby!!!!! How have you not been talking about this nonstop on your channel ahh. I love that child haha so sweet and look at him trying to check out the world. Introverted babies can be happy with groups of adults. They just aren’t as likely to focus only on the people haha. Those eyes are teaming in something, they almost seem Se haha. But it’s too weird to find the cognitive functions in babies since who knows what’s presenting first and maybe even being cropped or reorganized since babies unlike adults follow more similar developmental patterns. Like the physical ones, but the cognitive maybe different types spend more time in different stages or reverse things just oh this would be a fun field of study Ahha. Never mind, I just want to play with your baby so so so cute. Has Deana’s forehead so maybe has her executive functioning?

Joe , I actually have a writers question. I’m in volume two of a novel and there’s an INTJ character that my friend is based off of and I’m in an important character arch of my antagonist and the three protagonist and the INTJ is in a pretty big emotional/ subconscious swing can I pick your brain for an idea? How does messenger work on here? Observer issues.

Hey, I was kind of surprised that you were showing the baby on the screen - because I have observed that many people online do not want to be showing their children while they are young on screen because of some form of privacy or protection or something, but I guess this may be more relevant to very famous people with huge followings...so have you also been also considering the pros and cons of showing your child on your channel?
@GhostofJung
@GhostofJung 2 года назад
It's crossed our mind but like you said, this isn't a big channel with high visibility or publicity so for now, we don't see any issue. But definitely thinking about it constantly.
@kaisfp
@kaisfp 2 года назад
I'm not totally sure about this, because probably I'm forgetting something important, but won't the baby's future-teenager-face become unrecognizable (compared to his current-baby-face) by the time he'll actually become a teenager? (That would leave no reason for privacy concerns (at least for the future-teenager-self of the baby).)
@martymasar
@martymasar 2 года назад
@@kaisfp That is generally true while the baby is small, but since there is no specific breaking point between unrecognizable and recognizable (it is a spectrum where the older it gets, the more familiar/recognizable it tends to become to the future-teenager-self), it can be tricky to identify when to stop showing it in case you care about the privacy concerns. For example, if you look at photos of celebrities as kids, many people can recognize them even at very young age, so I guess if you care about the privacy for when they are older, I guess it may be better strategy to just do so from the beginning rather than to guess when the appropriate point to start not showing them would be, right?
@kaisfp
@kaisfp 2 года назад
@@martymasar I think you are right about that, but I would add that I think people recognize super stars from their children photos well mostly because they are usually in a comparison-setting (the old photo and a new photo are next to eachother), but in a real life setting when a once-being-a-super-star baby would walk by us on the street (as a teenager), I would bet that we probably wouldn't recognize him/her/etc, but the it is also a reverse thing, because we are not comparing an adult-super-star to his/her baby-photo, but we are comparing a once-baby-super-star walking pass us on the street as and adult/teenager/etc, although I guess the direction of the comparison (young ---> old VS old ---> young) would not be relevant here, but I thought that is interesting to see that your reverse example works well as a good point of yours. (PS. I might made some mistakes in expressing my thoughts in English as a non-native English speaker, but I'm trying my best. :) )
@kaisfp
@kaisfp 2 года назад
@@martymasar Also, I'm a subscriber of yours because I found you on Rational Typology channel, and then I saw a few videos on your channel (this was probably a few months ago or maybe over a year? (I have really bad time-perception)), but I can't find your videos now, I particularly liked one video when you were interviewing Joe, I think it was like a questions and answers type of video, but both of you had to answer the questions, and I really liked some of your thoughts about ... well about just various stuff, really interesting from a phylosophy angle. (I'm no phylosopher or phylosophy major or anything like that, but when I was watching some of your answers in that video, I was like, wow I never thought about it that way. I think I (and I think I wouldn't be the only one who) would enjoy watching your videos, I think you have some really interesting views on some things, but I can't exactly remember what things were those, because I saw that video a little too long time ago and my memory could be better to say the least :). Do you plan to upload new videos in the future perhaps? I think that would be great. Also, if you don't mind me asking, why did you delete or hide your videos? (Don't worry about answering this, if you don't answer this, there will be no questions asked on my part, I'm simply just curious about the reason(s(?)).)
