You forgot one important part of the Brian Shaffer mystery: how he was never actually seen leaving the resaurant. That was one of the major reasons why his case became so infamous.
12:35 I would like to thank you especially for the way you handled Elisa Lam case. I have bipolar and it is very uncomfortable for me to even see the footage of her in the elevator. To be honest, the idea of something happening like what happened to Elisa, whatever it was, is terrifying for me, especially because most people attribute it to her bipolar (which, in my experience, could very well be true).
Your dedication to remain as respectful to recent cases where people lose their lives is a nice touch, since a lot of people tend to forget human decency when discussing such cases. I know the family of Gabby Petito had to put out a whole statement wanting to move on cause conspiracy theorists kept harassing them with questions.
I agree. I often dislike that they are even in icebergs that also include things like Bigfoot and such. Elisa Lam's in particular gets to me because of how freely people use the elevator footage. I have bipolar, and what happened to her is a terrifying reality for me because my manic episodes can make me think odd things are perfectly normal, whether that's swimming in a tank or being paranoid and hiding somewhere I could die, or getting murdered. And just in general, showing footage of someone's mental breakdowns or episodes is always questionable to me. I know this video included the footage, but even treating it with more respect than others means a lot.
@@averysspookshowspectacular6205 Thanks for sharing. We can never stop people from discussing their wildest imaginations and I'm not one to stomp one anyone's right to free speech, but I do think what we tend to see is people not being fully educated in mental health crises. On the topic of Elisa Lam, there's countless videos like the Buzzfeed one discussing possible answers up to and including aliens and demonic possession on equal grounds of credibility, which is absurd and quite even offensive. It almost harkens back to the general hysteria over mental crises the American public had throughout the 1900s. The only thing that really stands out as being nonconsistant with an mental episode is the 100 pound lid being pushed perfectly back into place over the tank, but it's likely just workers who moved it back after seeing it out of place and either didn't check inside or coudn't clearly see inside well enough. Besides that, I don't think I mind viewing the elevator video for pure educational reasons to present what a mental episode looks like for public awareness, but it's quite obvious at this point that people are just watching it for morbid fascination. I wish some human decency would remind these people that what they're watching is the last few momments of someone's life.
The conspiracies and mysteries I personally hate the most is the missing people mysteries because even if you do solve the mystery that person could be dead or never found etc. Its always so unnerving, frusterating, and depressing.
This was a really interesting watch, and even with some of the entries I was already aware of, I learned things I didn’t know before. Plus your particular style of comedy really helps set it apart from other iceberg videos I’ve seen before. Godspeed with the rest of the chart, because I’m fairly certain that’s the largest I’ve seen of its kind, my goodness.
Love the video man! We would love to see the rest of this iceberg, you do a great job of explaining each point and making it interesting at the same time! Keep it up!
I had sleep paralysis for years (around 20 years) with nightmare hallucinations. My old school Latino family thought it was the “coo-coo” 😅 I finally found out that stress can cause it and ever since I started stress releasing exercises and herbal teas at night, I have been ok. I still get really vivid nightmares that cause me to scream in my sleep sometimes (which freaks my husband out), but nothing as bad as the sleep paralysis with nightmares hallucinations. But it always makes me laugh when I remember all the stuff my family made me do when I was younger…I was swept with an egg and other herbs and had a woman do some “spell” to help get rid of “evil spirits”. That probably made it worse
Fun fact about Polybius. There's a video by Ahoy that spent so much time looking into the game and where the legends came from and seems like they found the guy who started the rumor.
They couldn't prove it from what I remember. Someone wrote a book saying it was probably him but I think he died a while ago so it's pretty tough to say for sure.
I want to add something regarding the Zodiac Killer mystery: evidently, his identity was that of Gary Francis Poste, a former air force serviceman born in California. This was the conclusion of a cold case investigation unit called Case Breakers. The man died at the age of 80 in 2018 and this break in the case was made in 2021 so we can't directly ask him but I suppose this is the closest to a conclusion we'll ever get.
Can’t believe I JUST found your channel…I was very surprised when I saw that Subscribe button lit up like the Goodyear Blimp. I suffer from this terrible disorder called F.O.M.O. (Fear Of Missing Out) so I am subscribed to many channels. Lol Anyhoo, I am very excited after reading some of your comments. Well, off to binge the shitocki mushrooms out of your iceberg content!! Thanks for taking the time to entertain people you don’t even know! Take Care!
The nazaga lines are very fascinating! My theory is that they made a small craving, measured it, and blew up the measurements. Later they'd follow the math to create the giant cravings
34:22 Error: The text over the Monsters Inc footage says 'Duck Soup', and the text over the footage of the Marx Brothers film Duck Soup says 'Monsters Inc'.
Madeline McCann: What you didn't say was that the mother may have DRUGGED her own children with sleeping pills so she could go out and party. Meaning that it was possible that Madeline could have stopped breathing and sadly passed away. Then her parents panicked, because her mother would have lost her medical license. As the pills she gave her children were prescription medication.
elisa lamb apparently had dust on her from the roofs floor and was naked in the tank so unless she took off her clothes and rolled around on the floor which id say is unlikely
So they are pretty sure they have found Amelia airheart there is an island near where they think her plane went down that is infested with coconut carbs and they found two skeletons there and they say it's most likely her and the dude who was with her which is funny that you didn't see that in your research for this video because while it might not be super well known the skeletons where discovered a little while back before this video was posted.
