So this guy murders his girlfriend, wraps her up and places her underneath her mother's bed and when they finally catch him he winds up only serving 6 years of a 13-year sentence? This is not Justice to me. He essentially took two lives ( he ruined the mother's life) and that's all he gets? I'm sorry but that's just not Justice.
Trish you are so right. This piece of material should have had a trail, taken out in the street and strung up with a rope on anything that wood support him until he quit moving. he had a choice to do right or wrong, this girl did not have a choice, her mother did not have a choice. "May God help us all. Amen."
When there's that much money on the table there's no telling what he actually believed. I think he actually believed he could come up on some cash by telling some random lady he'd go along with her story.
I live 10 minutes from Fairview Farm and my grandmother knew Anna as an acquaintance. The one thing we knew in the community is that whatever the truth was, Mr. Manahan genuinely loved Anna, apparently to his death.
I live 10 minutes from Fairview Farm where Anna Anderson lived and died in Virginia. When my grandmother was a little girl she would see Anna at the local dairy where she went for milk. My grandmother believed until she died that Anna was the princess Anastasia. I know we've since found Anastasia's actual remains, but to quote the X-Files, I still want to believe. Miss you grandmama.
Omg!! I can't even imagine what that woman has went through knowing she had been sleeping right on top of her daughter the whole time!! And for him to serve ony six yrs!!! No damn wonder she's angry!! Bless her heart!! This is exactly why I refer to the justice system as the "un-justice system"!! The only ones who ever get any justice are the criminals!!
DNA evidenced showed that Anastasia was one of the bodies found in 1979. It had been misidentified as Maria’s body. In 2007, the two missing bodies, Alexei and Maria were found in a nearby grave, and identified via DNA as well.
It makes me so mad to see how little children were mistreated, low life pieces of crap on this Earth slam a door in a little girl's face just because she wanted to see her sibling. Justice will be served if not on this Earth, or their death they will reap what they sowed.
I could believe that Anastasia survived the first shooting, but I don't think she survived the stabbing, and the shot to the head, then the burial in the cold Russian winter, and night.
Depressingly, a lot of commenters believe the Hollywood movie tale. Btw they eventually (long after this show aired in the 1990s) did DNA tests. Anna Anderson was an ordinary immigrant from Poland, no relation at all to Anastasia or any other royal. Sometimes, people lie. For tens of millions of dollars, a lot of people will be willing to lie.
I’m so sorry for Paula’s mother. She will see her daughter in heaven one day. This world has evil but in heaven Paula and her mom with be together forever.
@@bv2745 you’re smarter then the billions of people on earth - all of our greatest minds, scientists and theologians and you, and you alone found the answer, wow thats great lol you intellectually challenged pinhead.
Those "well meaning" social services and adoptive parents essentially stole from those children the only thing they had, their family their heritage. It's inexcusable.
Interesting story of Anastasia. Social Services has done some devistating things to families by separating siblings. So glad they found each other!! Oh beautiful Barbara. Sorry for your loss.
Not story of Anastasia. Story of Anna Anderson, who was a delusional Polish factory worker who impersonated Anastasia. They found the body of the real Anastasia and disproved Anderson's claims by DNA years ago
45:30. So he walked all the way up the airplane trying very hard to conceal his face to the cameras only then to look right outside the window and smile to the camera?
I know we know Anna Anderson is not Anastasia, but...they look nothing alike. The handwriting isn't the same. The ears are wildly different. Who did this impress?
She also couldn't speak Russian. DNA tests, too (not possible when she was making her fraudulent claims), have proven she wasn't Anastasia. But, judging from the comments, a lot of people have not learned that things like DNA and forensics exist, and they still believe the romantic hollywood story. A lot of the American TV audience apparently is of the same IQ level that will send their money to a Nigerian prince....
That, and since the episode aired, DNA tests proved that the real Anastasia was executed with the rest of her family (the Bolsheviks were not known for being kind and forgiving), and Anna Anderson was simply a dishonest old woman who wanted to be famous and rich, like lots of people.
Well they did a DNA test and it proves that she could not have been the grand Duchess Anastasia not at all prince Philip husband of Queen Elizabeth II West tested because he was the closest relation to the last emperor of Russia and it proves that this woman could not have been Anastasia
because the guy was lying so he could try to convince the court she was anastasia so he could get his hands on the $80,000,000. simple. either that or the entire incident is made up.
It was so cruel that an adopted child be kept from their siblings. It happens more often than people know. I’m really happy they tried to find everyone. They are family and always will be. There is love between siblings. And for those of you who are missing family because an adopted family refuses to let you love your biological family just know in heaven no one will keep you apart. You will be together forever in heaven.
This show aired decades ago. Since then, the body of the real Anastasia was found (she died with the rest of her family) and DNA tests proved Anna Anderson was just a fraud looking to get rich off the inheritance.
@@curiousworld7912 O.K. Thank you but I asked because I do believe that Anna Anderson was Anastasia Romanov, I believe the British just didn't want her to inherit that 80million.
@@ericmuhammad8920 You know, it's possible, and I know that Jimmy was certainly convinced that Anna Anderson was, in fact, Anastasia. He researched the matter for years, and established quite a close relationship with Ms. Anderson/Anastasia. His book is well-worth reading.
