The letters from Deb were, in my opinion, the most emotional moment in the recent Project 863 history. You can see that she truly was trying to keep the team stable and safe, even if that meant sacrificing her own life. Quite a heroic feat, if you ask me.

Those letters were very well written; probably very needed for the team to see/hear, because they were so close to seeing her in person if this accident hadn't occured. Deb appeared to be their closest and truest ally after all.

Theory: When Deb was on the phone she seemed nervous and scared, what if Garry Renolds was with her forcing her to tell you to leave the absulate behind so the person could steal it.

Theory: What if John Doe is GR. If it was then he would have had all of your evidence that you gave to him. Also the fire is one of the events that had happened in Syntecs line of events.

Two things, one, can we take a moment to appreciate the Mega Green that Deb was sporting under her desk? Two, I believe it was Gary who was the murderer, or at least someone sent by him. I think that the timeline makes sense, Deb acquired the Absalate for safe keeping, as that was before you were supposed to meet her, but then Gary got to her immediately after. How else could he have known that you would be in that parking lot at that time, with the news of her murder? If she knew that it was crucial in her timeline for you to know, then she would've somehow manipulated Gary to do the exact things he has, to call you at that specific time, and then get you to where you are now. Just some thoughts, probably not very easy to follow, but here it is. Started this comment midway through the video, now that I am done, I think that John Doe was used by Gary, so John is the actual murderer, but working for Gary.

theory: what if deb is not exactly dead but "frozen"? whatever was sprayed on her seem to have "frozen" one of the vials (the other vials were shielded by the chair or something else) and it is likely that she also got "frozen" like a statue or a caveman in ice and was then carried out from the apartment. if she was shot or killed by other means, her body would have fallen on the floor and some of the white substance would have been erased. since the vial didnt defrost even in the hot room , she probably is still frozen and maybe gary has her and is doing experiments on her. if you do go back to her place, use a camera detector and red cellophane with your phones flashlight to see if there is a hidden camera in the room that may have filmed what happened to her or atleast give better clues

Everyone treading their letters made me feel emotional as well as gave me chills. Once Woods started to say the line “You remind me a lot of Wesley.” I knew that the parallels we have been saying since season two were going to be talked about. I love the circle back to where we all started. This episode hit me right in the feels. Stay safe guys❤️

Theory: me and my sister believe that John Doe is actually Garry Reynolds. (sorry if I spelled his name wrong) If you think about it we never have seen “John Doe’s “ full face and never had heard his voice. And we have heard Garry’s voice but never seen his face. Idk if it is true but it is just a theory.

THEORY: At 31:15 deb wrote in matt’s letter talking about a common chess move using the pawn. A few videos back in the conversation they had with deb, she said something about, “sometimes you must sacrifice a pawn in order to take the king.” I find it a bit strange that she has said something about a pawn twice, maybe there is something the team should look into a little bit more, but then again this could all just be a simple coincidence…

Theory: based on the way deb's apartment looks I would say that she was either killed in the way baily said, frozen in some way like the serum, or she faked her death in an elaborate way to try to keep some people off her back as she went into deeper hiding to figure out some dangerous questions to further her work

Theory: What if the “shadows” in debs house were created by deb so that you could see if something was missing. That way you would know if you should look for something else…

It’s very possible. But we have had moment in the past where ash and dust and other thing have made shadows in the past. It happened during the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings and even happened during 9/11 so it’s not unlikely that a smaller flame powered weapon could’ve done something like that

I am graduating highschool in 2 and a half weeks, and I have to say having this series all throughout highschool and essentially growing up with it, has been absolutely amazing. The progressive sophistication and improvement of overall quality of the experience feels symbolic of my growth as a person from being an unconfident and awkward pre-teen to now having become a full-grown, mature, confident, well-versed adult.

Theory: Before I start this may be a long shot. To start the missing item next to the sharpie could be some sort of drive that has important things on it and that is why the attacker took it. Furthermore, with the crystalization I think it could be either a flash freezing device which would somewhat explain the crystilization but another thing could be that the substance used to murder Deb is some sort of biological weapon that attacks the liquids in their body and crystalizes them and there is just a residue left behind after the attack or explosion if it was that. As far as the missing item next to the bookshelf could be some sort of new project that she was working on, so could the flashdrive mentioned earlier. P.S. the letters almost made me cry

Theory: In Debs "shadow", her feet are pointing toward the door meaning whatever exploded and what happened / who killed her, she saw and knew who it was. What if she knew Gary was coming to kill her so she set up this explosive so when he came in, it went off killing her aswell.

I like the idea of "If I am going down, I am taking you with me!", but I don't think Deb would do that. She spent all that time staying alive, and then she takes herself out, doesn't match up. And if she did do that, she would have made sure all her findings, secrets, information, all of it would either be safe or destroyed. And it clearly isn't.

I cannot explain how much I am loving where this series has gone, its really finding its place now and this has to be my favourite episode. The evidence board is perfect, and its becoming really fun to look forward to each episode. Those letters to everyone were really impactful and I will never forget this series! QOTD: we haven't heard anything about Gary since the day she was supposed to see you, maybe it was Chloe and Scott, because Scott was trying to help her escape. maybe he had something to do with debs murder too, Chloe probably killed deb, and went to Scott for help, maybe she told him what she did maybe she didn't, but I think they were involved somehow. Maybe all three of them are working together, Chloe the murderer, Gary and Scott cover it up, and help her escape. sorry its all over the place... lol

Theory:What if scot is a clone. They could all be looping so ask Scott what day it is. We just need to know the month and day not the year. After you do that later in the week ask him again to see if he still the thinks it’s the same day. If he was a clone they would all be coming from the same time so that the people in that timeline don’t get confused on why they aren’t there. Also when you ask him what day it is get the mars bar from his brief case and check the expression date. If he has the same mars bar the expression date must be the same. This will lead on to my theory that he is a clone because if Scott’s a clone don’t you think they would clone the briefcase.That will also explain why scott didn’t remember the encounter you guys had with him when he left his briefcase.

Question of the day: Honestly I don’t think it’s Scott. He couldn’t even experiment in Chloe and is trying to get her out. I’m not sure the man is capable of killing anyone. Also he knows debs hideout which means she did trust him. I find Gary to be the most suspicious. I’d say he is the number 1 suspect right now.

Qotd answer: this might seem too obvious, but Deb said not to over think it. John Doe might be our biggest suspect. He could even be the same as someone on the suspect list. I don't know exactly who, but evidently he's good at playing parts and keeping a low profile.

Theory: Scott and everything he owns has been sent into a time loop for a Syntec experiment and Syntec have made some crazy things happen so whose to say they aren’t in another time frame and that is why the first mountaineer appeared but that experiment failed so it didn’t loop and now the experiment is successful Also when are we getting the rings

I think it’s important to ask Scott what year he thinks he’s currently in. If he thinks Syntec is still an open and working company, that everyone (except for Deb) is alive, and is going there everyday for work, then he must not know what year we are in. Time travel and all that. Letting him know will give him time to process, because I’m sure he will need some time, but also maybe he can recall what happened before his “coma.” Maybe he can recall what happened to him and who did it to him. Maybe he can give us more information that Deb didn’t know. Also what if we TELL the Deb emulator that Scott has returned and see what she says. Maybe Deb knows if he was ever pronounced dead, if he was involved in any projects, or if he went into hiding too. Maybe she would be surprised or confused.

Theory: what if John Doe IS Gary Reynolds? Also I agree with the thought that we need to ask Scott what year it is, plus maybe get some more details and information on the employees/projects/etc at Syntec, as much as he will tell us that is. Those files on Deb's desk might have information about projects that would explain the event/substance that killed her, the confused clock, or Scott's mysterious appearance.

QOTD Answer: John Doe may be a pivotal suspect in this, even though he's bet "out of the picture" until recently. Even though the notes/letters/threats made by Gary to Deb sound pretty convincing. I think if I'm going about this the right way, Gary Reynolds and John Doe are working together since Gary knew that Deb was deceased before the team knew. I have a theory about the letters to everyone: I think that the letters were a turning point in the story. I think the previous door (The one that Deb had opened for them to walk through) that was opened is now closed and another has opened, one that would lead the team down a path that would either save everyone (including Scott) or bring about the downfall of Spelbound and ex Syntec Employees/Survivors. It's a "fork the in the road" kind of situation, but I hope you (the team) go down the right path when it arises. Godspeed, and be careful.

Theory: Scott didn’t kill deb. Here me out: the only time you see Scott when he pops up out of nowhere and the mountaineer never moves. ( besides the day you caught the car moving and it ended up back in the same spot) but,Yeah he may give off weird vibes but it can also just be that he’s in a “loop” and is confused at where he is at. He can honestly be innocent and just wanted to help save chole from what they was doing to her

What if it was that Chloe died when he was trying to save her and he was in a psych ward he blamed Deb and well he was released recently and since Deb thought he was out of the pic so she never considered he would get out then he unalived her and well now he is in a mental loop from the time Chloe died and blamed her since her murder was his goal for years and since she is gone well he just loops what made him go crazy

Question of the day: I think the person most likely to kill deb would be Chloe. I think Scott helped Chloe escape and in turn Syntec broke Scott. With the whole loop thing. And because of that Chloe thought that by killing the person that mainly dealt with experiments inside of syntec would save Scott.

QOTD: All suspects (now including John Doe) have a reason to want to kill Deb but we have to think about who has the will to do it. Scott’s shaky and seeming nervous personality to me feels like he’s just genuinely confused, however John Doe always seemed quite either neutral like he had no opinion (at least he didn’t show it) or slightly frustrated with something, same with GR he has always seemed a bit passive aggressive. Chloe on the other hand we’ve assumed is dead and I also think if she’s not she (with the information we have so far) wouldn’t kill Deb. Scott’s personality also matches up with the video from old Syntec.

I relize that people would handle the situation differently but I don’t think she would kill Deb. Also how would she know where Deb lived or have the technology to freeze her like that?

@@emmagarcia6628 true but I was thinking if she had some moral sanity left she would probably hold guilt if she did kill Deb even though she was the one who experimented on her. It is also possible she doesn’t have sanity left after the experiments (again if she is alive) but there’s really no way to tell so far.

I think John Doe was Gary's agent, hence how he KNEW where she was the whole time. If Gary has contacts within the police (enough that he could, say, arrange for a Syntec pen to be left as Ben's cell), it would make sense for him to have an 'undercover' agent checking in on Deborah. Sometimes, the answer is right in front of you. I doubt Gary wasn't MARGINALLY involved.

QOTD: Even after all this stuff with Scott I still believe Gary is our guy, my most important reason for thinking this is the fact that he new the day of, I think the only way he would have known this is if A.) he killed her, or B.) he was watching her, and that was a bold threat. QOTD: I was leaning more towards Scott as the main suspect before, but now with that threatening message from JD I fully believe whoever that is killed Deb, but this doesn't mean Gary and Scott are out of the picture though. We don't technically know who John Doe is, and it may not be Scott because Woods has met with JD before, but he still could be Gary because we haven't met him before. Thanks to anyone who read all of this lol!

Theory: Deb isn’t dead: What if Deb isn’t really dead, we know that she has been extremely manipulative in the past. Who says she can’t do it again. Gary could just be part of her cards to play on the table… we know that she said that she was going into hiding, and if she wasn’t the one on the pay phone someone else will be. That could be a sign that she knew that was going to be the outcome of the situation. Add on theory: she is not dead rather stuck in time. We have multiple theories that people have created about how Scott has rather used time travel to go back rather than teleporting. If that is the case then who is to say that if one person “Scott” can go back in time. Who says that he can’t make it stop. And who can forget… Happy 4th Anniversary!!!!

QOTD: It honestly sounds like Scott went through something called dissociative fugue. It causes someone to completely and fully “dissociate” from who they are and become a totally different person. This is not DID, as it can last for, in some cases, 20 years. When someone exits the fugue, they reassume their identity and pick up where they left off. This would explain why Scott thinks he’s only been gone a day. His “looping” could be caused by anterograde amnesia from a traumatic event either at syntec or while he was in the fugue. He would only have his short term memory and live the same day over and over. He could’ve murdered Deb and not even remembered it.

QOTD: I think Gary seems the most likely to have been the one who did it. He is someone in a high place who probably has lots of connections. It’s also definitely possible that the one who did it isn’t on your list. Maybe it was an experiment survivor out for revenge? I think that you should use the new D3B simulation to find more suspects. Only having 3 when the simulation listed more than 300 would make it harder to solve the murder and it would be a huge waste of time to chase after 3 suspects and then find out none of them were involved.

Whatever caused those shadow effects, it was either hot enough (and had whatever other components you'd need) to instantaneously crystalize liquid or cold enough to freeze so much it'd last until now. I guess that makes it a bit easier to single out suspects, since if we find out one of them has that kind of weaponry, we've pretty much got enough evidence to call them out. Though, without a doubt; whatever this was, it was *powerful*. QOTD answer: my thoughts immediately jump to Gary or Scott with this new information. A weapon like that has to be military-grade stuff or a Syntec experiment, right? Something those two would have easy access to. (Edit: Added a bit to the theory)

question of the day: I do not believe Scott had murdered deb, Scott seems to be looking for deb and wes, so why ask for her knowing she's dead. however he did not seem so suprised when you guys told him deb was murdered. Claire is new, we don't know much, it's hard to pinpoint whether she did it or not. Gary seems more likely since he knew first and told you guys on a payphone? how do you explain that? Also with the letters? Gary is my main suspect so far.

Concerning the "Mega Machine" - if you were to make it mega green, it would be SUPER noticeable, so it wouldn't be practical for anything stealth. That being said, you could just use Wood's or Sam's car, which seem like a more citizen and less recognizable than Matt's telsa or a Mega Green colored car.

The shadow makes me think of the atomic bomb. Its said that the extreme radiation caused peoples shadows to stay there permanently, essentially because the bodies blocked the light rays and caused that part if the ground to be sheltered from the ionising rays. Idk if it would be possible she was radioactively disintegrated but I feel like there'd be more damage to the walls and furniture, plus residual radiation

Theory: it’s Scott because how does he know debs hideout when nobody can go because she wants to stay away from people so she’ll be safe, and deb was probably going to do the project on Chloe when Scott was trying to save Chloe, he had an attack and MURDERED DEB and that why he doesn’t remember the day you talked to him in spellbound. But how did Gary know where Debs hideout is as well if she was murdered in there?

QOTD: as Dwight wisely taught us, it's not the person you suspect the most, so it's not Gary. It's also not the least suspicious person, so Chloe is out. That leaves the person you most medium suspect, aka Scott. Or, more likely, one of the unknowns, since they're really the ones we, by definition, most most medium suspect.
