😊 fresh start❤ I hit my $1k emergency funds goal recently and working up to $2k. Plus I stayed within budget for the holidays without using credit 💳. I may not have gotten everything my kiddos wanted, but that is ok. Stuff is just stuff. My kiddos constantly change their minds and lose interest all the time.

Brandi! Wow, sis! I am over here just cheering you on! This is so freaking amazing! Side note: idk how old your kids are but I was in target the other day and I text my oldest daughter and asked her what her little brother likes ( first marriage husband has a new little one) My daughter is 31, her baby brother is 4. So that should tell you how long it’s been since I’ve been in a toy section. Omggggg- all I could think was - “ What a bunch of total junk!” I hate to say it but toys have taken quite a nose dive in quality and purpose. What a waste!

@@2SisterBees agree. I have 2 girls 6 & 8. They love dolls, and I noticed how expensive dolls have gotten. I'm blessed to have family members that love to pitch in and buy clothes and toys for them. They are the only grandbabies on my side. I really wanted to get a Nintendo switch but they went up in price. Black Friday was a joke. Ugh inflation is horrible. But my girls are very appreciative. I'll just have to save the money and maybe next year I'll get one for them.

Yes! It’s hard to change. It really is. But I just said to my daughter this morning ( something unrelated to money) that “the hard things we do in life yield the biggest results”. I gave her examples of some tough decisions and periods in my life, when she was small. She was surprised and as a child- didn’t even realize these were trying times for me. I found that interesting. And looking back- those times of real change were actually the best moments of my life. I learned, I persevered. I hope you are able to see where your changes need to be made and see amazing strides. Cheers to 2024! 🥂

I'm so late in seeing this video. I actually had to take all of my challenges from 2023 for an emergency, but it saved me from using my debit or credit cards. ❤ i love all of the challenges and goals. Although the year is started when im seeing this, I plan to finish my 1k fund with 500 and tackle two small challenges!

Love the new set up for your savings challenges! I watch several people for budgeting and savings challenge and I am like whoa! that's a lot of challenges to put $$ towards! It's so fun to watch each challenge you do! I feel like I would get overwhelmed by having too many and often get anxious with the length of time it takes to finish a challenge.

I'm going to carryover the 1k challenge and try to finish next year. I will finish my challenges and start fresh, doesn't mean I won't be buying from the shop. Great idea for the 100 envelope challenge on a low budget. I actually was thinking of the doing the same. Hello Honey was so fun! I saved $10 today. I cleared out my challenges and put the money towards other bigger challenges. I am halfway through my rainy day fund, I'm so excited!!

Cant wait to get my refresh done on my binders and have a plan for what i want to save for & how i was to execute it. Good Morning Jenn. Hello Honey was $15 this week, I had to cut it in half due to being laid off. I am also reorganizing for the new year. I purchased the busy bee cards ( I have been eyeing them for months). Just waiting for them to get here now. I am excited to start my 2024 budgeting journey. Hi Jenn, I think you were right with your original Hello Honey dates. I believe we started October 22 and took 1 week off for Thanksgiving . That’s ok for me because I will just do the averaging like you did to keep up with you. After all, it’s all going for savings. I did save $33 today.

Yeah... the biggest issue I come across is that we are good for a few months and then a major crisis happens and it 'bankrupts' all the progress we have made. I make good money its just the yoyo-effect is off-putting. Yes crisis is avoided but now we are back to zero... its really hard to stay motivated to continue even when you know it is working and effective. @@2SisterBees

I'm shaking things up for 2024 myself. I bought 3 new games so I will have 3 games I will play every week, 3 games on weeks 1 and 3, and 3 games on weeks 2 and 4. The new games are Cross Stitch, Night and Day, and a reading game that I will use as chapters instead of books read. I want to start doing this as im in my early twenties, but how do you deposit this much money into the back? 😭 that's just my main worry on depositing it into the bank instead of just having it lay around.. tips would be so helpful on that ❤ I want to start out by getting a breakable bank and putting bills in it as I go until its filled.
