I blew a tire at the beginning of a long bridge with a ton of traffic behind me. There was no shoulder, so I just kept going, completely shredding the tire along the way. When I went to my tire dealer to get it replaced, I told him my story and he told his helper to put a new one one for no charge. He said I deserved it for not backing up rush hour traffic, as he travels the same bridge every day!
I bet he took the wheel off and tossed the tire in order to keep going, because I can't think of very many ways for a busted tire to end up completely gone. I'd say it might be possible that it got caught up in the chain but it would be more likely that the chain or sprocket would break before the steel cording in the tire gave way.
You must be as old as me if you know that joke. I'm 58 and my younger brother told it to the family at the dinner table back in the 70's, we all got a laugh. If you're not my age someone around you is. Thanks for the laugh.
@@prerunnerwannabe Agreed. I rather liked the Dana 28 on my Ford Ranger I had a 3" lift, a spring perch from a 2wd which is 1" taller for a 4" lift spring combined with extended radius arms, heims joints, and some improved shock mounting the suspension travel was great
I've got bad news and good news. The bad news is that the car is busted. The good news is that the tire crossed the finish line and you got credit for the segment.
I do the fast RC brushless electrics. I was running my 8th scale Vendetta doing about 50 plus miles an hour towards myself and the front left wheel came off and flew up and hit me in the foot and actually did hurt but I was laughing the whole time.
*Reminds me of the full-length movie about a tire rolling around.* Have a Wonderful Winter Solstice. A traditional celebration dating back more than 5000 years in which the Sun is literally rebirthed in the passageway of an ancient tomb, (where have you heard that before?) "The Grand Passage Tomb", a World Heritage site. A celebration of life and renewal, peace and camaraderie with food, song, dance drink and good cheer. Happy Holidays. *Let the Sunshine In...* .
It's no surprise the vehicles falling apart in wheels are falling off look at the guys they have working in the crew it's kind of like your friends you call them up one weekend of the year to come work for you
