I wanna read it so bad but the thought of any of them dying and Mikey being the last one and ultimately met his fate in the Roninverse broke my heart. He's always been my favorite, though I loved all of them!
Read it!!! I felt the same way and just finished it rn. I never read any of the comics aside from the ronin comics, I knew exactly what was going on and the story behind it takes a lot of turns!!!
Yeah. He watched his brothers die violently. When he gets older as the ronin, he’s nothing like he was as a teenager. The comics really showed how their deaths changed Mikey… 👀 driven by nothing but vengeance.
Something i kinda found very emotional was even after Mike breaks Leo's katana in issue #1 he still carries it along and uses it to kill Hiroto. A nice detail that Mike and Leo were closer than others
I believe that is a common thing among those who have lost siblings they were very close with growing up. (Many times the survivors inability to severe their connection after their passing allows them to live on inside the mind of those who loved them.)

You honestly want them to show the horrible deaths and absolutely tragic ending of the most badass mutant Heroes who wher ever created to billions that grew up with them and became better human beings because of it?! Mikeangelo was the best choice cause he usually has no care in the world free spirit fun this forced him to be serious and let us see a diff side of Mike a more series side plus he is the most versatile and could easily master all there weapons if he really wanted to
I learned about Ronin from the 90s movie with Robert d! Awesome movie btw can wait to play the recently announced game haven't read the graphic novel yet but will buy when I'm able....I have the hoodie ❤

The Swahili inhabit the coasts of Kenya, Tanzania and Northern Mozambique (aka the Swahili Coast), not South Africa. Either way the comic sound great. I hope the game does the story justice.
Some fans have expressed that Leo should’ve been the one to go with master splinter in Japan while Donatello was the one to have perished against Baxter stockman. Given Leo was the more obvious choice for the peace treaty meeting in Japan.
BEWARE 80s Babies: Being a lifelong fan of TMNT ever since their very first graphic novel (when they All had RED face bands) I was almost in tears @ 5.09 into this SAD Story and I don't think I can go any further down this path to see my childhood heroes demise and eventual END. [I will have to get the actual books and then like a very Cold swimming pool I can slowly ease into this.... TALE. Sounds Great though... Great job on the creators part. Thanks for a nice 30+years
Don't get me wrong, THE LAST RONIN was good.. I am a huge supporter of TMNT! But, it's kind of hard to enjoy the story when when we can clearly see all of the main strong MALE characters being killed off while all of the FEMALE characters are pushed into prominence. And now Casey Marie is going to be the one to carry on the mantle of the Hamato Clan, and be the one to train the new breed of turtles??? This just doesn't sit right with me. Mikey should still be alive to take his rightful place as the rank of "Master Michelangelo" being the last of his clan to carry on the legacy of the Hamato Clan as his father did before him. Therefore, Michelangelo would train the new batch of turtles as his father Splinter trained him and his brothers, while still training & developing Casey Marie. And Casey Marie would be more of Michelangelo's pupil/sidekick, kind of similar to Batman & Cassandra Cain... while April O'Neill in the turtles layer as their Computer Tech assistant. So, the next mission should've be Master Michelangelo, April, and Casey Marie(with her crew) coming up with the plan to take down Baxter Stockman.... That's how it should be.
IMO I think the last ronin should have been Leonardo. I think it would be 100x more gut wrenching for leo to see Mikey (the innocent little brother) die/dying. I could totally see Mikey holding on to Leo, telling him he’s scared as he dies. it’d definitely be more impactful for the leader of the turtles, the big brother, fail to protect his little brother as they die.
