the big question is, do you thing it will get slapped with uptier/ridiculous repair cost or will it stay as it is ? im contemplating buying it but i suck at gunnery and it already seems to be high skill ceiling plane and i doubt i would be able to make use of it at 9.7 being stuck in 10.3 matches all day.

Been playing four years I do not see this as good I do have a lot still to learn just seems like u have to be on point ... situational awareness and know your br enemy

If you're not even over lvl 15 don't even consider buying a jet because I absolutely hate it when I see people who are lvl 7 with a fucking f-5c (they suck by the way). They always turn with props and their aim sucks. But if you're experienced with jets then go for it

Defyn definitely has a great showcase of situational awareness. One thing I've learned is elevation and forward airspeed is power.

its not just about thrust, its also about drag and weight. This thing looks like if you took a Vampire and bolted 1.5 Meteor engines onto that .

If it were in TT there'd be no rank 6 premium for Italy though and they need one of those.

@@Asghaad That thing is about half a ton lighter than Vampire if I know correctly. Also there is Australian Vampire variant called FB.31, plus Nene powered F.2 variant, both has at least 4,750lbf thrust as opposed to 3,150lbf and 3,350lbf for F.3/FB.5 and FB.6/FB.52A/J28B variants respectively. Keep in mind WT Vampires don't have equal thrust to historical ones. FB.5 has 2,880lbf, FB.52A/J28B have 3,100lbf-ish. Plus their FM data suggests slightly overweight airframe. Add everything together and you should see current FB.52A with 8 min fuel performance out of updated FB.5 with 11 min load. But hey, Gaijin it is.

Yep it weighs about 4 tons, I think that's also with full fuel load. For reference the sabres weigh around 6 tons

I think they should have to play atleast rank 5 premiums before touching top tier jets, because they need to learn situational awareness, knowing how to shoot and lead, knowing how to dodge and reversals and ect. Because most new players that buy top tier premiums, are really bad, they just go for headons and die or theyre afraid of players so they run way to the edge of the map and dont come back till everyone is dead.

@@jacobrieks9727 They aren't. It has custom loadouts now, meaning that the standard loadouts are very basic. If you want the GSh-23, equip it.

@@jacobrieks9727 As long as you make a custom loadout for it, yes. You can equip either the gun or the flare dispenser on the centerline like before. Haven't played the SPS-K in a while but it also has R-13M1s now instead of R-13Ms. Not sure if it got them this patch or a while ago.

Well yeah, half my team is just gone in the first 5 minutes.

Earlier IR missiles can be easily dodged with a pitch and roll. Later ir missiles like the G, J, and L sidewinders suffer the same flaw, pitch and turn into it, then roll over once you see the missile pulling lead. Alternatively, cut afterburner and flare. Radar missiles, excluding the early ones, are more difficult to dodge and moreso require situational awareness to avoid getting one launched at you. Look to see the radar, turn perpendicular and fly sideways from the radar lock (and dropped chaff if there is a missile after you). This is called notching and helps break pulse Doppler lock. This doesn't always work at altitude since smart players will use ACM which is less susceptible to notching, but chaff has a chance to still throw off the missile seeker if notched properly. It is near impossible to dodge any r60 or matra magic, need flares for those. Consider taking "mixed" countermeasures, they work fine. Just don't breadcrumb or spam them, pop in bursts.

maps above 8.7 need to be triple the size they are now

If the Aim9L was only available to planes that were 11.0 and up I would full heartedly agree, but with the A10 early getting the 9L at 9.7 there’s no way it could get buffed without it sucking even more fun out of 9.7 and below.

I'm pretty sure it turns better than all of those as long as it isn't compressing, and it has more energy because the engine power. So you can rate fight or go into vertical

Ariete pilot with 2 KD/ 66% WR: Ive beaten 2 shenyangs simultaneously with one of my horizontal stabilizers cut off (F104 slashed the fight then ran away thinking I was done for), this thing is an absolute rat / monster and will eat them for breakfast with virtualy no counter. If you use the vertical you will prolong your death / make it more of a struggle, but that's it, you won't win. DO NOT 1 CIRCLE. Use 2v1 tactics, gang up on it, dive on it and kill it in 1 pass before it can regain energy, etc.

the lock up of control surfaces that make you move through the air technically its control stiffening but thats too many words for my small brain

Basically, the faster you go the stiffer your plane gets and the less you can maneuver

The only bad thing about it is the 37. I much prefer lower caliber higher fire rate cannons. But the Q with 4 50s makes up for the 37

But 2 OP low BR planes are the P-51 with hispanos and the P-40

@@elnewbie2611 thanks for the tip! I don’t play Italy much, as this is the only plane I have and my crew level is still low for me to unlock expert or ace.

@@BetterGetSomeBitchesHoe just letting you know that in order to get ace, you need to buy expert with sl first and then is all up to you if you want to buy ace right away with ge or just play and play and earn it.

I mean yea you are basically a sag just 5 times better and at a 0.3 br higher witch doesn't really make that much of a difference, although I'm warning you, you are spending your money on a plane that is most likely gonna go up in br so feel free to either buy it or stick with 9.0 sag

A lot of the vehicles are good but overtiered

This plane isn't for everyone. Imo 9.3 is a bit low and it could be 9.7 but if your in a supersonics and smart you can easily keep it at a disadvantage. Keep in mind dyfen is incredibly good at air RB and most players at it's br are premium noobs
