Untouched Abandoned $2,500,000 Jewish Millionaires Family Mansion They Left Everything Behind

In today's exploration my friends and I uncover an abandoned mansion deep in the woods. It was once owned and lived in by an extremely wealthy Jewish family and custom built in the 1980s. Its architecture is unlike anything you've ever seen, with a castle-like structure made by stones and bricks. Exploring inside is now a shell of its former self, with the damage left by a fire that broke out in 2018. Luckily the family survived and they moved out leaving their past and surprisingly everything behind & memories of what once was a beautiful home. Its worth is $2,500,00.

Smoke damage is deceiving. All that stuff looks nice still but the smoke absorbed into everything has contaminated it with dangerous chemicals from burned plastics and various other chemicals that every house contains.

Hi, Hebrew speaker here. I'm only 16 so I know bits and pieces but the newspapers say "the general journal" and the headlines say "we have rearranged agreements with the Palestinians"- "top state rabbis attendant the inauguration of (new Jewish president)"- "inheritance of the (holiday?)" And on the back a questioning about divorce.

You inspired me to explore more in my everyday life. Taking different walking paths, taking a look in abandoned buildings that I’ve passed by for years, and traveling to nearby places I’ve never been. Maybe I’ll branch out further as time goes, but it’s surprising what’s near us that goes unnoticed and frankly taken for granted. It’s so easy to stick to the same paths and daily routines, and before you know it years will have gone by in what feels like seconds. Something about exploring a new place or environment slows down time and breaks your mind out of the repetition.

The fountain & lions leading to the very medieval front entry has a Narnia-like feel. So cool. Steve you are so thorough in your explores that I really enjoy them. You are the first one I have seen go into the burned side of the upstairs & into the basement. Thanks for your unique perspective!

What a unique and beautiful home, what a shame that it is destroyed by fire. I'm sure that the home was insured to the hilt, the owners took the money and built another beauty somewhere else. Thanks for the tour, this was special.

Wow! I am so intrigued by this place and how the many details on the exterior and interior. 😃👏👍Unfortunately this place will cost easy over $1million to fix. When you include, from the basement area and up into the room as well as the kitchen! Maybe there is someone who is willing to pay for electrical, plumbing, etc… the whole renovation and cost of labor. It is very unfortunate this happened to the family and their home. At least the blue prints will allow them to get an exact replica of the home if they wanted to get the home rebuilt.

The way the ceilings are torn down, makes me believe it may have been an electrical fire. You walked by an outlet that had smoke damage from behind the faceplate. Definitely an electrical fire and firemen tore through the walls and ceilings to make sure the fire wasn’t traveling throughout the wiring. That’s a total gut and all the electrical would have to be replaced.

That medicine is what I just started taking, it's for high cholesterol brand name Lipitor. A person's wealth doesn't matter when you consider the personal loss of belongings and the home that you have lived in. That fur item was a stole worn around the neck. If I remember correctly the bottom jaw of the animal was a clip so you could wrap it around your neck and clip the head to the tail to keep it in place. You did a wonderful job of covering everything in this place, kudos.

You know what I don't get is those pictures weren't damaged at all and even if they were there are special people that can clean paintings and clean pictures and bring them back to life. It's heartbreaking to me to think that a parent could just leave pictures you can never get back again mine were all ruined in a basement flood. And I was able to salvage only two of my grandmothers photo albums and I am so grateful and so heartbroken over all the others

Wow this is a really nice place! It’s kind of strange because I know no matter how rich you really are, there’s documents in that house that nobody really would’ve ever left. I wonder if somebody did perish in the fire, or if something happened that the family wouldn’t go back in the house. It seems to me though that there would’ve been things that they would’ve had to have for the future. Crazy nice explore! Take care!

I do this for a living I work for insurance company’s restoring fire burned homes and water damaged homes and it is fixable but depending on the amount they got for insurance if any it might of cost more to repair then they received or is even worth the headache sometimes it’s best to take the money and move on and sell it as is to someone who wants to take the time to repair it. Unfortunately the longer it sits the harder it will be to repair. Great videos Steve been a fan since day one .

What an amazing explore! But such a shame what happened. It seems to me that it's been abandoned quite some time earlier than 2018 though. You're right, it seems logical that the fire started in the basement and worked itself up. Technically it should be fixable, I think. But it's going to cost a lot! There's not just the fire damage itself, but there's serious smoke damage everywhere. No doubt water damage as well. The whole place would need to be redecorated. Not to mention the cleanup. My guess is that since they were wealthy, they most likely had a good insurance as well, and that this basically forced them to leave everything behind.

Since it’s a Jewish home they have to keep a kosher kitchen, meaning keeping your meat and dairy separately. Multiple fridges and ovens and dishwashers if you can. A lot of the items in the house would have smoke damage that you can’t see. Some you can get professionally cleaned and somethings you will never be able to get the smell of smoke out of.

When there is a fire, most of the time the insurance will total the home out for the reason of it costs less then to have the home repaired. This is what I see with this home. Everything you see has been ruined from the smoke and fire.
