I agree. These places could be restored and left for history’s sake. They don’t want history left. When our generation goes so will all old history. How sad
The purple floor is made from purple heart wood. It is very duable, and holds up well. Usually used to make outdoor furniture, and decking. Very good wood. I have a cutting board made from purple heart and hard rock maple.
My husband and I bought and renovated a big old house like this here in NW PA. Our family, including my sons and many friends, enjoyed 30 years in our country home with many, many fun memories. We completely updated inside and out as well as adding a cool pond in the backyard with a view of the valley. We finally completed our venture and our home was all we imagined and more. But our kids moved out and we realized it was about time to downsize so we sold our house to dear friends and relocated to a smaller place on our other property 5 miles away. Love old houses and it was a true labor of love.
So sad to lose not only this beautiful, well cared for house and property but also the private, quiet out of the way place which will change when a lot of new houses are built. Thank you for showing us this one before it too is gone.
Old farmhouses my favorite, this one was unique in renovation and location! However, first bat sighting dead or alive I would have been in the wind! Thanks Brent!👍🏻
Awesome video… But I so badly wanted to see into that red painted hallway to the left of the main room with the fireplace. Now we’ll never know what is in there!
Hi Bret, great house and find!! It's in pristine shape, makes you wonder why they left it? No house any devlopers build will ever be like this,,i love Canada,i used to live in Niagara Falls, and i remember "walking " to Canada, and entering Quebec. Beautiful! Thanks Bret, awesome video 💯👍
They left it because somebody offered them something that they couldn’t refuse.A pocket full of money.Theres something wrong with that.I hope they enjoy the money
It truly looks like someone was in just before you and cleaned up. No dust or dead flies on the floors! My Mom lives in a farm house built in 1869. There are dead flies to vacuum up every day. I loved those old floors. With a property this beautiful, they would probably been offered a LOT of money for it. An amount they couldn't refuse. I just hope that affordable housing gets built. Yup! A pipe dream! Thanks for this enjoyable video Brett! You do an awesome job! I love it when even you get surprised! (bats) lol
Such a beautiful explore Brent. Loved all the floors. It’s a shame they are going to build a hundred houses there. Everywhere is getting so commercialized. Can’t wait for the next one. 😁
New homes all uniformed no character at all, but in so many places there are issues with homes being available and affordable, so I get it, but sucks to know another great home being wiped away.
Unfortunately developers are buying up land and farms around where I live in northeast Ontario too. They won’t be happy until all our beautiful farm land is nothing but cookie cutter homes with no yards or character. I moved where I am from Toronto to get away from this mentality but they don’t stop pushing it all around us. It’s a shame our small town(pop 1200 when I moved here)is getting over run with people that want to change it into the crappy city that they “wanted” to move away from.
Hello Brent! What a beautiful old farmhouse. Such a shame these developers but these homes and destroy them just to build cheap housing and put a high price on them. Someone could move in this house and have a wonderful home. Thanks for sharing.😊❤
Such an amazing place! It breaks my heart that it's going to be developed. As a horse girl, it looks like the first horse on the list was probably older and they were trying to get/keep weight on him with the twice a day feedings and the beet pulp. I'm also thinking the jaw bone is from a deer.
What a beautiful house that’s been cared for. A lot of beautiful memories at that property for certain. I sure hope the payout was worth it to them. Hard decision to make.
Thank you this earlier video means a lot to me from 🇷🇸 so beautiful house 😍 like kitchen, fireplace, floor, wiev the whole property is wonderful 😍 can imagine how magical it looked during the holidays when everything is shining 💫🎄⭐ I really enjoyed my favorite explorer 😁 again Bravooo for you 👏👏👏 thank you for another great adventure with you,Big kiss and hug for you from Serbia 🇷🇸❤ Be careful 🇨🇦❤
What a tranquil spot. I get it money talks, maybe they were elderly and couldn't do the upkeep anymore. Hopefully some of the wood will be saved. Thanks for the tour.
I'm only a little over 1 minute in, and when you showed the long driveway, my IMMEDIATE first thought was " That had to SUCK in the winter" yup.. im Canadian 😂
Oh Brent, this is a beauty you've shared with us❤ Thank you very much! Im playing catch up, watching your explores I missed while my health has been challenged. You are truly the best in this business! Hands down! My heart especially sad with this property :-(....Someone's dream homestead...abandoned & awaiting .. Well...we all know :-(... The former owners put their hearts into re-building/remodeling this place.. Their last act of loving it was to carefully remove their belongings. Left it clean & well cared for to the end. So very sad💔 As always Brent, take care & be safe. Know you're loved & appreciated ❤
Thanks bud for another great explore!!! Gorgeous place! Gotta admit I like the abandoned pools too. Totally dig the pool setup. Great stone work and shelter!
What an amazing find, Brent! As a horse crazy lady, I am absolutely in love with this property. It's nice and secluded, there's trails galore, and the house itself is dreamy. It's such a shame that this gorgeous place is going to be demolished. I really hope the developers change their mind and decide to save this place instead.
Abandoned Urbex Canada thanks for sharing this video with me about the untouched Abandoned Farmhouse that was a really nice place and thanks again for sharing it with me and God Bless.
As I was watching you explore this property I wanted to move there. I love the open-concept plan and the pool and everything. I was picturing how our stuff would fit in there nicely. I would even dispose of the bats and the mice! LOL When I watch these abandoned places they are rarely as clean as this one. Nice find, and so sad to know that it will be destroyed for more cookie-cutter houses by a greedy developer. When you were describing a summer out by the pool, I thought that is exactly what I would be doing too. LOL Enjoyed this one very much, thanks for sharing your adventure. 🤗👍
Im just catching up on your videos and im really late to this, but wow what a beautiful house!! Love the walls and woodwork and that fireplace is so beautiful too! I think this one of my faves!
I've watched your videos for awhile and always enjoy them. That purple floor was something else. Can't say I've seen that in any abandoned building before and would have to rate it as one of a kind.
What a gorgeous home. Looks ready to be moved into. I love the flooring and the teal colors. It makes no sense to tear it down. :o( Thanks Brent. Happy New Year!!
Hello 👋 watching this now in Australia 🇦🇺. What a beautiful, solid big home , love that fireplace & floors. The surrounds would’ve been gorgeous to look out on . Thank you for sharing. 😊
Beautiful house. Best part is there is NO vandalism. I'd would live here and party. Pity it's going to be demoed. Really sucks Brent. Nice shirt. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice drone view to see how big the property is The house was in good shape with no vandalism for a change and it does look rather isolated I always wonder where the people have gone to Good find as always ..take care ❤️🇨🇦
Nice explore as always! Very beautiful spot. My parents had to block their wood stove chimney with a wire cage because of bats flying down into it. Usually in the fall, probably looking for a warm spot to roost for the winter.
