Sadly the previous owner passed away a few years ago. The previous owner was a very successful music teacher and musician. He played the piano but his specialty was the drums. He was in few popular local bands. And he even won a few awards. He was very respected and will be missed. One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. Bob Marley

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

These videos are always a reminder of our own mortality. They are also a reminder of how short life really is. You wonder if he was childless, thus, no one cleaned his home out of personal items. It's always gut wrenching to see pictures of family or friends and the important parts of his life, now over. Ugh..

@FiveElements00
@FiveElements00 Год назад
Even it people are childless, there is still family that exists; cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends. Too bad someone he knew couldn't get this house. It is a very nice house.
@francoamerican4632
@francoamerican4632 Год назад
@FiveElements00 Cost of repairs/maintenance and property taxes; an outstanding loan taken out using the house as collateral; no relatives living in the area; family members too busy with their own lives or unable to cope emotionally. These are just a few possible reasons why relatives might abandon the home of a family member who's passed away. Another sad but all too common scenario is when the heirs to a property can't come to an agreement over who gets what and spend years battling it out in court as the home and it's contents are allowed to fall apart and deteriorate into an advanced state of decay.

Rather that it be left than some mindless fool of a son selling everything for short term profit, Like whipping the back off a Rolex to change the "battery" and couldn't see where it went, And that was on eBay and sold it for $40

Thank you for sharing another groovy explorer. These abandoned homes always bring a sense of sadness to me, knowing at one time the home may have been a place of real joy and happiness And the belongings left obviously meant something to the homeowners and probably collected them throughout their lives together. But, it can bring a sense of peacefulness hoping the homeowners were believers and children of God and have moved on to a much better place than this current earth could offer. Better put some mosquito repellent in your bag along with a few masks. An emergency kit of sort. Thanks again for bringing us along!! I just thought maybe those phone books were meant for delivery and the deliverer just became bored with his job so he just brought them home and said let em google.

Another really nice find 2 for 1 explore! This was an interesting old farm house with some beautiful old green glassware left behind. Looked like it might have dated back to the early 1900's with that field stone and old timber foundation. Thank Brent you for donating at the local mosquito blood bank!

I find it so fascinating when a house like this has clearly been ransacked, there's signs of vandalism and possible squatting yet there was quite a bit of glassware (specifically that green glassware) that was still perfectly in place. Someone mentioned the use of phone books for insulation - I wonder if those phone books were meant to help soundproof that second house, as it did appear to be a music/recording studio. Anyways, great explore Brent, keep up the good work buddy.

This was a wonderful abandoned house! I really enjoyed it. You need to get some Deep Woods Off to keep those mosquitos away. It's the only thing that works for me. I've always said that I could be one in a crowd of a million people, but the mosquitos always seem to find me. Must be cuz I'm so sweet!
@NeilRoy
@NeilRoy Год назад
The clothes told the whole story for me. His wife died, he missed her terribly and was probably extremely lonely in the years leading up to his death. I know, because my wife died two years ago and if it wasn't for my brother, I would still have her clothes. It was much harder than I thought to get rid of them. Even some of the worst looking junk to other people, held a lot of memories for me. Been trying to clear the old out lately, but it's rough. I need the room. If I owned a home, I doubt I would ever get rid of it. There's no worse grief in the universe than losing your wife. None. I feel sorry for that man, I 100% know what he went through. In a way, I am jealous that he finally has peace from his grief. I found an old birthday card from my wife today and ended up crying on and off all day.

@@Bluerose888 I'm so sorry for your loss. I definitely understand you! My wife and I were married for over 36 1/2 years. Knew each other since I was a teen, married when I turned 20, said "I love you" to each other at least 3 times a day and I don't remember us ever arguing. Now, I feel totally lost and alone with no motivation. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing someone new, but in my life. I have literally NEVER dated women. I was NEVER a womanizer, I was always faithful to my wife. I didn't even have many friends as she was all I needed. So... not sure WHAT to do now. I just keep praying to God for help. I keep the following scriptures in mind which have helped... Psalm 34:18 (NIV) The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 147:3 (NIV) He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Matthew 5:4 (NIV) “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Hello Brent, This was a aweome video to watch and house to see. So sad to know he died and all that stuff is just left there. Too bad the town can''t clean it up and take care of the stuff in those houses. Those drums are worth something for sure. They look like they have some age on them to. You know it’s a shame to see those houses empty and forgotten but they do give an interesting view into the life of the people that lived there as if the stuff that they left behind still had their energy still attached to it. The houses should be done up it probably wouldn’t cost much and they aren’t to far gone there’s loads of people who could benefit from a home like that I don’t understand why these places are left to rot and get destroyed by vandals.

Great video as usual! If I am not mistaken, sitting right on the edge of that counter in the outbuilding you went into (very end of video), is an old cassette tape - Brothers In Arms album by Dire Straits! I have that exact cassette tape still. 😂

Brent, I'm just guessing, but what you tapped your foot on toward the end might've been an organ pedal assembly. If the owner was a musician, it wouldn't surprise me. 🙂
