I'm literally in university studying acting and what Violet said about reading together instead of just memorizing your own lines is L I T E R A L L Y the FIRST thing they teach you
I've done productions where the characters have limited interactions, which is the only time you split up to practice. If you aren't monologuing you shouldn't be running your lines alone. You should always run lines with everyone in your scene. ESPECIALLY if you have 1 day.
Exactly. I see the acting students every day at university and they usually sit or walk around in a group reading out loud their lines while trying to interact as best as possible.
I hate how ginger always has something negative to say about someone, like max was proud of herself and then ginger comes in and is like no let me stop you
Ginger also said When Miss Fame's mom was on the Untucked Video she wanted her to "just shut up" after that I had no use for Ginger. Violet was right about Ginger, she always is too desperate every minute.
Still the older queens on the show completely underestimate the younger queens only because they’re younger than them they think because they’re from different generations of drag they can’t agree with the younger queens. It’s just like pageant queens not understanding comedy queens and when the bigger queens use their size as an excuse whenever you can’t use that as an excuse
LITERALLY "You're an adult, why didn't you tell me what to do twice when I ignored you the first time and can't be told anything and don't treat you with any respect" like bitch
@@elana137she did blame Violet because she told Violet that she should’ve mentioned working together again to her. One time is enough you can’t blame someone for not constantly reminding you to do your job.
@@danieloneal7137 I get more of a old timey, theatrical sound from Max's voice... I don't hear British. It's like the eloquent accents they had back in like the 30's-40's, a la Judy Garland in Wizard of Oz, where she was from Kansas but she had that theatre voice lol and I kind of like it it gives Max her personality.
I was on Violet's side on most of the suggestions she made during those group challenges and it always broke my heart when the others put her down mostly because she was Violet. Those who didn't do that said that Violet was actually very pleasant to work with.
That’s the first thing they teach you in middle/highs school drama. if you don’t have good communications with the group, it’s not going to turn out polished
I hate how Kennedy was trying to push all the blame on violet, it's like girl, at the end of the day you were the team leader. I just can't deal with her or jasmine.
Bianca won her season because she never understimated the younger girls, instead of focusing all of that hate on others she focused on bettering herself. And that’s why Kennedy and Ginger could never win
Violet deserved to win her season because she never tried to bring anyone down. She pushed through despite being underestimated, going through challenges that are not her Forte, and just tried to be better herself. Violet, Jinkx, Bianca won the hardest seasons of drag race. They are fking talented.
@@aroidpapa even out of untucked, I wasn't feeling either Kennedy or Ginger because they constantly bashed other people. And yeah, I used to that, but they were bitter for no reason
The show really did violet dirty for giving her the villain edit. Throw away the shady audio effects, then you'll realize she was speaking facts most of the time.
I feel like everyone is like "All violet has is looks" and "She has a bad attitude." But TBH I think it's just her being herself and being confident and that's what won her the competition
Me too, I actually think she's adorable. Everyone is a little different in a competition but she was just confident and even worked on the way she came across. And she does have talent!
Exactly I wouldnt handle the hypocrisy. I loved Kennedy for the tea she would serve, but hated her at the same time cuz she never could take it when it was thrown back at her. Like girl, it goes both ways. It was also the same for Ginger. I remember when Ginger called out for Violet once for "stirring the pot." Like BITCH you constantly do that. Duh fuh? The older queens acted like it was the world against them when they are the ones that caused the "divide" they pretended to be victims of. But this was only Ginger, Jasmine and Kennedy, you didnt see this shit with Kasha. So obviously it's not about them being older, it's about them being cuntier. I had no problem with them for acting that way, just dont act like a victim when people treat you the same way you treat them.
There's clearly some moments they producers cut out because a lot of queens have talked about how Miss Fame is way different than she is shown on the show. Not in a bad way but she's much funnier and is always telling stories about her life. Still Kennedy talks a lot more.
Kennedy was so in the wrong here. When it comes to acting challenges, you gotta do table reads first. Get your cues and the lines will come. Violet was right. Running it as a team first before focusing on memorization would have made them more solid as a group.
If jasmine has "sensitive skin" than she should of used something artistic like paper and a special glue. She should of been prepared for her own skin. I have allergies myself and can't use parabins or sulfates which is in EVERYTHING but if I needed a beard I'd use the correct...proper glue that was safe for ME. Or she could of had a barrier between her skin and the product.
@@BLRicozzishe should of been prepared for her own skin. If I was on a show I'd make it clear I need special glue for allergy reasons and they legally have to listen...as it's a hazard not to.
I totally agree! There are some challenges and fun moments in the show that will always make it worth a watch (obviously), but I think the untucked episodes have the benefit of more screen time for the contestants and less annoying filler. Plus it doesn't seem as heavily edited.
+Issy Rondon It's definitely a minority opinion to like the new format, but for me, I don't need Ru narrating what's happening, or that pink fur box, loads of sound effects and all that jazz.
currently binge watching season 7 and suddenly i'm upset just like i was 5 years ago about kennedy, ginger and jasmine being so annoying towards violet, max, pearl and fame lmao and i'm so glad violet won
I get the idea from her, like what she says and her in instances like this, that she doesn't really like confrontation and that she doesn't enjoy conflict like other queens do but idk
I honestly think Violet was completely right. Kennedy defended herself some way that was complete bullshit. "You should have asked me twice"???? You're an adult and you accuse Violet of being immature? Jesus..
true. as if they don’t understand why these 20 something girls are much better than them. they are full of themselves that they can’t believe that someone younger than they are, are capable of doing much more of what they can offer.
@@adz2117chiming in literally two years later but having seen the season a couple of times I think it’s almost the opposite. Ginger and Kennedy were jealous of the younger queens’ natural confidence and ability to go through life without seeking validation and they put on this big conceited front to hide that fact. Kennedy getting choked up and telling violet in the last untucked that she could never just look at herself in the mirror and feel like she’s serving was honestly really sad but she really didn’t have to take out her own negativity on other people
Jessica Duran We can. We can talk about nothing BUT that for the next 87 hours straight. Trixie is EVERYTHING. I love her more than I love my kids. Wait, do I mean that? I think I do 😏
Jessica Duran I'd have to say it's one of my favourite looks to ever come off the runway, to be honest - she looked like a fucking goddess!! I really liked Pearl and Katya's take on it a lot, but Trixie absolutely owned this challenge!
Molly Dransfield The difference was that Bianca was aware of how far ahead she was of her competition that she knew it would do her absolutely no harm to help them out, and she was down to earth enough to show that kindness. One of the reasons why people think she's the best winner ever, I think. ❤️
Bianca read the queens, but in a humours way and behind it all she stayed humble and helped any queen in means however, this seasons queens we just rude and bitter, and if a queen fell down they didn’t really pick them up, they started kicking them while they were down. Bianca was so much better :)💗
I was so happy when Kennedy and Jasmine were on the bottom 2, they thought they knew everything because they're "older" and even when Ru said they fucked up, they still blame on the "younger" ones.
Alejandro Villalobos Jasmine is the worst about it. Jasmine gets on RU-vid and bitches about the new queens and how she’s a more old school drag queen. She acts like her and Kennedy’s style of drag is the only way to do drag, but it’s not. Watching Jasmine in the last episode, going to this episode, still makes me laugh. Jasmine was so full of shit last episode, starting shit with Trixie, talking about “I don’t get what you’re doing”, when her look was nowhere near what the challenge asked for. Jasmine’s look didn’t make sense at all. Ginger and Jasmine were the only two who claimed they didn’t get it. Those two are some of the worst older queens that have been on the show, always blaming the other queens when they mess up. Bianca, Charlie, Tempest, and Kasha are older queens and they weren’t always tearing the younger queens up.
Like loads of people saying oooh they’re friends now, it’s a competition, it’s edited And I’m like ehhhhh if I was there I’d crawl into a corner and wait for it to be over
I loved Katya and Trixie from the get-go, but Violet earned my grudging respect so that by the end I was really fond of her, warts and all. And she was the only one who brought it on the runway EVERY WEEK!
Actually so glad Violet won season 7. SUCH A SATISFYING WIN. These old lady brigade contestants were so insecure of Violet and wanted to bring down her confidence. She didn't let that faze her confidence and kept fighting till the end. COME FKING THROUGH VIOLET 💜
Not sorry, Violet was in the right and Pearl Drove the point home. And Kennedy came off so much more hateful and defensive, you can't start off with "Violet had a point, but I made a decision blah blah blah...".
Jasmine and Kennedy literally spent most of this episode of drag race complaining about how the young girls didn't know anything and messed up the challenge worse than anyone else in herstory. As a performer, I have never heard a team leader tell us not to run through a performance together. If you practice as a group you will learn your ques naturally by listening to team mates practice. Kennedy arguing that learning on your own was better and then practicing when your supposed to do the performance was so frustrating!!!!
As a theatre kid throughout my entire life, girl, you're supposed to do run through with the group once you get your script to get familiar with each other's deliveries and memorizing lines.
Kennedy even said "these young girls have never been through anything" like that gave her a right to be rude & bitter idk ginger, Jasmine, & Kennedy seemed like they were just hateful for no reason & they constantly came after the younger girls & would get mad when the younger girls tried to defend themselves, we saw this in the jetset challenge when jasmine came for trixie's look & trixie was calmly defending herself Jasmine said she was acting "crazy" & got upset because trixie reacted. I never understood why they were so nasty & talked so much shit for no reason.
Kennedy talking about how she “learns what the person before says so she knows her cue” and acting as if she wasn’t the one who couldn’t remember her lines during rehearsals
I fuckin' LOST IT at "Kasha Davis auditioned 86 times, she's been auditioning since 1930!" xD 5:05 I love you, Trixie.
Kennedy: 'I have an opinion and I am gonna shove it down your throat, take it or leave girl!' Also Kennedy (to anyone with an opinion): 'Ain't no body asked for your opinion, why you talking?!' Her hypocrisy throughout the season was VERY annoying.
First Ginger admits that she underestimated Pearl, and now she's admitting that she underestimated Max? Girl's proving that she's a horrible judge of character.
OK, well, that wasn't the first time she said things like that to Max. Ginger has said in the past uncut episode directly to Max that she thought on day one her look was the Queen Elizabeth, old lady look.
Lol sad thing is there are guys with facial hair like that, combing and processing it, hoping it'll grow lol. I'm kinda mad no one has put violet in her place yet though- she needs a wake up call or a wake fall.
Storm Bey Yea but she needs a hoe shut up or get shut down type sessions which is surprising since she's from Atlanta- I'm surprised none of those vicious ATL girls have not humbled her already.
Looking back on this, Violet was still right. It made no sense for them to learn their lines separately, especially when it's a group scene and they need to bounce off of each other and look for cues/ make the dialogue flow smoothly. Kennedy was on something with this one lmao
Dzevad Imamovic They call it getting “Kandy Ho’d” when a queen is edited out of screen time - the entire time of her confessional (she lasted 7 episodes I think) equaled less than Jasmine who was gone this episode.
I mean REALLY! How can you not have a solid snatch game character IN PLACE before the show? How can they not PREPARE for what they know is coming? Like him or not RuPaul has tremendous range as a performer.
YES! And If you can't sew, make the shit work somehow. I think Sharon Needles (If I remember correctly) could not sew, and she won! And Shangela couldn't really sew all that well either, but she still turned it out. They were very strong in other aspects and it got them through. If you're weak in the *C*, you better damn well be strong in the *U* the *N* and the *T*. And vica versa..
10:04-10:06 I am living for Max and Ginger's head turning sideways on sync lmao
10:04 max and ginger have me cackling bc of how fast they’re looking esp w violet and kennedy’s screaming LMAOOOOOO
+Marlayne Melendez she wasn't really critiqued for the beard. She was critiqued cause it did not go with the rest of her outfit. Also if you gonna wear a beard do something more than what milk did
+Uptowner If Milk insisted on wearing a beard, I would've advised her to go for a style like you see on old greek bust statues. Or what Mathu's beards look like when she's up in geish.
Krista Astari I agree. When she said that her choice of team was strategic, I said to myself that she was in it to play the game. I'm seeing the professionalism level of Bianca here, and I like that quiet confidence she has.
Kennedy Villella The last two seasons, I was quick to pick both Jinkx and Bianca to win their seasons (first episode). This season, I wasn't too sure. Violet's fashion looks the first episode were amazing. I loved Katya's LSFYL in episode two, and she looked beautiful in episode three (along with Trixie [I'm glad she took a break from the clown look to show versatility and respect for the challenge]) But so far, Max has been quietly consistent. She's quirky, but she sticks to her character and yet adapts to the challenges (just like my favorite, Bianca
Actually no, she went home when she tried to do glamour and she came out in an unfinished blue gown and a lame blonde wig. Also, she had to lipsync against the TK-motherfuckin-B Assassin, so that was unfair too, but she was actually complimented on the bearded look.
There's something with the older queens and the younger queens, almost as if like the older queens perpetuating hostility towards them consistently without being provoked or given a reason is their bizarre way of coaxing them out of their shells, maybe they dislike how they win challenges even though they don't show much personality or emotion and they can get away with it, so they feel like bullying them will waken them up to the real world since they assume they've been privileged and have evaded harsh criticism their whole lives because they're sheltered... I don't know I'm just trying to get in the heads on why first they all came for Trixie who didn't want beef with anyone, then came for Violet and Fame, it's very uncomfortable to watch because this is legitimate bullying to people who don't want to fight, don't sit there and attack someone because they like to talk, and Violet was sweet to chime in and be like I'd never tell you to change your personality who am I to do that.
"-she said to me that if she had to lypsinc against Kennedy, she would just stand there and not do the lypsinc -no she can't do that" Charlie : hold my wig
Katya's line in response to "anyone got a drink" when she said "or a gun", was hilarious. And totally underrated. She's dressed as Abe Lincoln and asking for a gun. Abe was shot!
Going back and watching all this again, hearing Ginger talk about stirring shit 🙄 When Ginger is stirring shit all the time. I’m still glad to see Jasmine go.
I loved Katya, Pearl and Max's take on this look but damn, Trixie killed it! She had the biggest / fullest beard and she looked like a fucking goddess; her look here is still one of my all time favourite looks to come off the runway!!
Kennedy was so fucking defensive. Violet was saying truth when she said "There's no point on working alone in a team" and suddenly Kennedy flipped back at her telling about her "bitchy" way. Stay focused, gurl.
Am I the only one who thinks Trixie is a really cute boy out of drag? I'm living for her "Drag Jesus descending from the heavens" eleganza here as well.
I hate how Kennedy was just like "I don't ink what Violet said was true. She switched their parts last minutes and she was all like "I can't believe we're in the bottom"
