96.3 Lite Rock is less talk more music radio station. if you have time listening to radio back in your condo, it is a soothing and relaxing radio station to listen to especially during the night.
you'll be shock on how Filipino celebrate new years eve ,,especially when you go to provinces 😂 I feel like the best of the best for me ,new years eve were the best occasion for me in the Philippines 🇵🇭
walking slowly is 999.99% truuuuueeee urgh especially when youre behind of a lovey dovey walking like theyre in a garden just the two of them without thinking that there are people behind them like wtf ahahaha ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT if you get stuck in a human traffic while walking, whether inside malls or on the streets be cautious on your belongings cause thats one of their moves to pickpocket people theyre not just one or two people... theyre in a group actualy theyre gonna stuck you then get whatever you have in your bags or pockets
Filipinos also complain on the same things you just mentioned so yeah, we feel you. It doesn’t feel safe being surrounded by delinquent street kids so it’s good that you guys are keeping your guards up while walking around the streets of Manila. Can’t believe it’s already been 4 months. Hope you can stay for about a year. There’s still quite a lot of places you definitely need to visit. Can’t wait for more vlogs!
Where are you guys spending New Year’s Eve? If you don’t have plans yet, SB19 is performing at the Mall of Asia’s New Year’s Eve countdown. They also have the best fireworks in the city during this event. There are lots of hotels in every price bracket that you can walk to and from the mall so you won’t have to worry about the commute going home like Lime, Hotel 101, Golden Phoenix, etc.
avoid Lime Hotel, the commenter probably hasn't even been to Lime Hotel. Just read the terrible reviews on tripadvisor and you'll see where I'm coming from.
As a local, I appreciate your honesty about your observations regarding my country. You were able to point them out without coming across as rude nor condescending. Don't worry, the things that you pointed out were some of the things that some of us have complained about too. That thing about having way too many ads happen not only on the radio but also on tv too.😆 Now, about those street kids, it would be best to steer clear of those. Some of them can be violent if you don't give them what they want. Better to be safe than sorry.
I agree with all your observations… the traffic , the street kids, long lines in groceries , people walking slow and occupying the whole aisle that you have to maneuver around them ..
Thankuuu!! for appreciating Filipino values, it's so fun to know the culture shocks that the two of you experienced in our country the Philippines Maraming salamat po!
Your observations are verrry accurate. I, a filipino, complain about the same things everytime I'm out... the senior citizen discount that takes forever, the vanishing sidewalk, the stoooopid people who txt while walking then just stop midstep... blame it either on being stupid, inconsiderate or poor city planning. Hopefully a lot of people learn from ur most accurate observations. Can't wait for ur "provincial" vlogs! Cheers & stay safe biscuit boys!
Provincial vlogs will be worse, mas lalo diyan mabagal ang tao at inconsiderate puro relaxed mga tao diyan for sure parang mga naglalakad sa buwan. Mabilis na nga sa manila eh.
@@impulsiveurge5837 dr jose rizal has a saying Pag lalakad ka raw ng matulin kung matinik ay malalim. Thay's why Filipinos are slow coz they don't want to be matinik 😂
I can forgive the slow walkers, that pre-dates cell phones. The weather is hot and you don't want to get heat exhaustion. What I cannot forgive is the motorcycle riders on the sidewalks. Sa Makati pa yan.
Truly, one of my pet peeves is when people walk in the mall or in the street in a single file side-by-side taking up pretty much the whole walkway. Sometimes, I'd plow through the middle of them just to break them up for the other people walking.
I love this, please make more videos of this format 🙂 Your point about radio stations is one main reason why I prefer listening to a random playlist on Spotify. I don't hate ads, but ads here in PH, even on free TV, is too much! Like the song (and TV show) is gets shorter airtime than the ads combined. The malls! I hate those groups of people where they occupy the whole aisle and expect other people to give way for them. When I am not in a hurry, I really stop in front of them to break the line, and hopefully to annoy them. Looking forward to more videos in 2023, and happy new year!
That's y I don't watch local channels anymore only Netflix, paid Spotify/stationhead or sometimes Apple Music or SoundCloud for free (live radio in the US for certain artists done by fans), RU-vid, I don't listen to radios anymore.
04:27 They're called promodizers (those people trying to sell you stuff). They're not employed by the store, pharmacy, etc but directly by the company who owns the product they are pushing (go to a dept store and they'd be hard selling you perfumes usually). If you notice they wear a different uniform to those who work for the actual store. That's their only job -- to make sure their products sell and I think they're on commission or have sales targets. Old marketing approach.
Hello Trifate! So glad you'll be visiting Cebu and I'm really looking forward to your vlogs here. 💙Just please please please be careful when you're in Cebu! Backpacks worn on the front, no phones and wallets in pockets. Especially when you're in the downtown area (Colon street, etc) and ESPECIALLY during Sinulog. Also, I'm not sure about this year, but during Sinulog cellphone signals are shut down in the Metro Cebu area so you can't make calls, send texts, and use the Internet. Just a headsup in case they do that this year, too. (reposting this for visibility)
Wow! It's so nice to hear that you may have culture shocks, some may seem negatives, you're enjoying yourselves. Have a good time in Cebu. Keep safe. Thank you for liking the Philippines. A very merry Christmas & a happy New Year!!!! (I hope I'll bump into you when you're in one of the malls again in Makati.)
I just really appreciate your honest observations in my country 🇵🇭it's really true and accurate especially the street kids, the heavy traffic and also the mode of transportation from the airport,it's one of the problem really.just enjoy guys and keep safe
We really appreciate your honest opinion and it's always interesting to know your thoughts and realizations after living here for months already, Geez time really flew so fast haha. These observations can serve as an eye-opener for us too especially on the aspects/areas that need to be improved. We are glad that you somehow adapted gracefully to the culture! Kudos! We appreciate you biscuit boiz!🥰 Haha Rice is life! Rice, rice baby! 😂
How can this be an eye opener for us. Are we the one who let those kids roam around the streets. We are are aware with all of that actually, but as an ordinary citizen we can't do that much about that unless we are part of implementing bodies.
This is great! Sometimes, we get so used to some of these problems that we forget they are problems. I feel like we Filipinos sometimes do not like being called out, but hey, we need it to improve.
I love these guys. Those are some of the most honest observations I have heard from content creators. Good job guys. Those are legit points. I really hope we have wider sidealks, because you can only imagine when I was a student and have to go buy school stuff or go to the computer shop, I hate those narrow sidewalks.
Your observations are true indeed..but to remind the locals..no place is ever perfect. Even in the western world delinquency, crimes and social disparity exists..it is not just in our dear Pinas. Our country and culture is so hospitable and accommodating to many visitors, wish it is likewise reciprocated in other western countries too, but alas, these days that is not the case as well. See, even now as we comment on this video we graciously accept perceived shortcomings with a smile or sense of humor. So best approach at times is to learn as one goes visiting and exploring any new country or locale. We may never be able to please everyone to their utmost satisfaction but in our ingrained culture, it is always polite to show courtesy to visitors. Just be careful too as you go around. No place is always 100% safe. Have a Safe and Happy New Year!
It's SPOT-ON! The struggle is real. The airport cabs are a total scam, the public transportation is not efficient and the traffic atrocious. 13:37 I get instantly got stab when I got out of the airport?! I'm dead! 🤣🤣🤣👍
gosh you are vibing in the Philippines lol. your observations are pretty accurate actually, like, damn! thank you for being honest. these things we, us Filipinos complain too but i hope you have a great time! if you guys could actually stay a bit longer, around summer time probably so you'll get to experience the beaches in here, i mean there are a lot so i hope you can check'em out, love your SB19 reactions btw, you guys take care.
Thank you for loving our food..try to explore more experience pilipino culture and food in the province .Try also food which is made of coconut meat and milk..you will love it...
January will be sinulog Festival in Cebu. Hope you also experience that. Then February will be the flower Festival in Baguio called Panagbenga. But please be mindful of your things when you attend to these festivals because it can be crowded.
Y'all got me with the radio ads. Some of the stations here have a lot of ads but I cannot imagine it being as much as the radio ads in the Philippines. I always enjoy watching 'Culture Shock' vids. They're fun to watch. Thanks guys. Happy holidays. Please React to SB19'S Christmas party. If you haven't already. 🤩👍
Damn, this video is awesome. MRT connected to airport is epic !!! You're the best problem solver Isaac and Tyler ☺️ I hope the gov't will do something for the streetkids though. There are plenty more Fil culture that you haven't seen yet.. Hey, if you want to try the MOA year end count down with SB19 and other artists too - I think at the bay area, Fireworks display is awesome. Looking forward to your Cebu adventure soon. Merry christmas and a prosperous new year adorable guys. Be safe always 🎄☺️
Thank you for choosing Manila to spend your holiday. You are greatly appreciated. Other people have misconseption but nevertheless youre still enjoying. I keep on saying these always with others that you guys are a testament that Manila is safe and convenient.
I am so happy you are enjoying the Philippines so much. My country may not be perfect but I love it! The thing about the line and the bread cracks me up lol. I hope you can visit Boracay and Coron Palawan, it's so beautiful there, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Stay safe guys!
The long queue everywhere, heavy traffic, these are just manifestations that Metro Manila is one of most densely populated metropolises in the world. Metro Manila has 16 cities and 1 municipality. Of these, 12 are in the top 50 most densely populated cities in the world. The top 3 are occupied by Metro Manila cities. Here are the 12 cities/municipality as they are ranked: 1. Manila 2. Pateros (Municipality) 3. Mandaluyong 7. Caloocan 15. Makati 25. Malabon 26. Navotas 28. Pasig 31. Pasay 36. San Juan 41. Marikina 49. Las Piñas Data are from WorldAtlas 2020 records.
When you encounter delinquents, try to keep your things in check please. Showing them that you're aware and acting cautious often discourages them from planning to steal. Stay safe and happy holidays!!!
The not-so-usual culture shock list. Interesting take! I have also noticed a slight shift in your vlog topics and execution. Like being more serious, more informational but still having Trifate fun of course. Just wondering whether it was intentional.
Thank you so much in exploring and loving our Pilipino culture we appreciate it too much and compairing our country and saying our country is better thank you so much GOD bless you Happy New Year to everyone good luck in the year 2023 keep safe
Thanks for like my country Philippines enjoy your explore pilipino friendly and pilipino food delicious manila much traffic Cebu in beautiful place also god bless stay safe
🇵🇭❤️ It is good to know that you're realizing that there are many plus factors if you stay in the PH. All you need now is to look for a condo with a reasonable price (maybe around P5M - P8M), not necessarily brand new and just near the big cities. I think there are still a lot of those available. You can have this condo rented while you're away and the rent income will pay for the installments, but I think you really have to pay for the down payment as this is really the norm here. The bigger the down payment, the smaller the interest rates on the balance. I think there's a scheme for a 10%DP, balance to be paid in one year with zero interest for brandnew 2BR, Ready-to-move-in. That's pretty good. You'll be avoiding those absurd in-house interest. Well, your decision...You have a lot of time to think.🤔
@@manbibar4299 if you follow more of their past vlogs, they made this video in their rent to own condo in Quezon City. They have 2 condos, 1 for each about $350 a month. They even showed their neighborhood view.
@@ariesgemv Oh i see, my bad bro. Didnt pay much attention to that video. i just read one of the comments where someone is offering them his Eastwood condo free from rent.
Hey guys, you're asking about where the parents are of those street kids, well, their parents are those vendors selling their goods on the sidewalk. Those vendors from every corner, or every street know each other, and their kids know each other as well, so they are like playmates on the street.
LOLs you are so on point with your observations. I work overseas and everytime I come home to visit, I notice some of the things that you have mentioned, especially the street kids, the traffic, and that annoying chipmunk sound insert on the radio.😆
All you guys said about the Philippines was really true! My question is have you seen or heard about the dark side of the Philippines that nobody wants to talk about? It's not politics nor economy but it's about the real attitude or habit of the people. Behind those smiles and friendly approach and vibes are something that most Filipinos doesn't want to show or tell a foreigner. Filipinos has this attitude that most Filipinos are angry when you expose it, they don't want to here or talk about it, and they will hate you when when you expose it. One of the examples is that there are lots of scammers and nosey people in the Philippines particularly in Manila not to mention people that pretend to be helpful but they have some reasons why they do that, these are some examples of the hidden dark side. Probably you sense or observed some of it already but just to be polite and kind not to say anything about it. Better yet if you are in the Philippines be aware of it and just keep this in mind that you cannot trust people.
And be careful of women, they have their way how to seduce a foreign man to go abroad or get a good life or popularly known as GOLD DIGGERS, lots of them in the Philippines
Those "dark side" you're talking about isn't unique to Filipinos. The Philippines is not the only country who has scammers, thieves, drug addicts, drug dealers, hired killers etc and chismoso at chismosang marites. Other countries in the world have them. If you have experienced working or living abroad, you will know and encounter them. Most often than not, some countries' dark side is worser than the Philippines. Of course, that doesn't diminish the fact that our country experiences everyday violence from the NPA and Muslim terrorist groups, esp in the provinces. Bit that's not a dark side, that's a pestilence problem that govt needs to fully eradicate and annihilate.
@@2G_igurlI can see you are one of those people doesn't want to expose the dark side. Yes there are also bad things in other countries but you have to accept the reality that it's more worse in the Philippines! And I'm not talking about politics or economy as I mentioned! I've been in different countries and lived with the locals there and I saw more things than an ordinary Filipinos that haven't seen the other side of the world. This is always the problem of Filipinos, cannot accept the reality that it is always worse in the Philippines! Just go to the slums and the typical filthy suburbs of Metro manila and observe how people live and the way they think. Just be on the roads of manila and you will observe the actual typical attitude of Filipinos on the streets were not all but mostly are very arrogant, frustrated, cocky, agressive, wannabe, gold digger, backward, very old fashioned, etc etc etc... Those some Filipinos that are not like that are those usually from the provinces were people are more calm, laid back, kind, etc. I'm not surprise you disagree on this, as I said most Filipinos cannot accept the reality that it is worse in the Philippines and will never expose the truth and the dark side!
@@2G_igurl the first time I went to manila I noticed the superficial and cocky attitude of the people. Some pretend to be nice just to show to people but deep inside actually they're not. The province people are more humble. Warren is really correct, I'm probably one of the few Filipinos that accept the reality that it is worse in the Philippines. I only realize this when I went abroad that things better in other countries. This was the reason most foreigners living in the Philippines prefer to stay in the provinces.
Travel to Davao in Mindanao and Cebu. Also I would love to see you guys checking out the beaches in the Philippines. Also if you want to immerse yourself in the real Filipino culture, try eating in local eateries or carinderia.
Carinderia is a good suggestion but in Manila alone, it's quite difficult to find a carinderia that is really clean. Even I as someone who was born and raised in PH would prefer eating in a fastfood than gamble in the nearby cheap carinderia. I believe our boys can make their own judgment whether a particular carinderia is clean and safe enough to eat. But just saying it out there, there is a risk of getting unclean food in carinderias.
regarding those people trying to sell you things in supermarkets et al., those are merchandisers. they are instructed to push the products. they are not directly employed by the supermarket or establishment but by the particular brand/product. Some work on commission. they are not ‘touts’. given the choice they’d rather stand there and wait for their shift to end:)
True. Watch US news and all you'll see are all sorts crimes committed on people of all ages and race. For me, it's scarier to live there now than here. Plus they'll be going into, if not already in recession. At least PH still has good GDP growth.
I think some of your observations will change once the holiday season is done and you go outside of manila. Glad you're going to Cebu. They have a festival soon. Hope you enjoy.
Hi Biscuit Boys! Thanks for sharing your insights. The good and the bad hehe. I personally hate the sidewalks with the huge Post blocking it -I could've died many times because vehicles wouldn't let me step on the road as the sidewalk is being blocked and it's been a long time problem but since you've mentioned it, I hope some government employees or senators gets to watch this and do something about it. Take care. *Also can you guys visit Hinulugang Taktak in Antipolo?
It’s a government of the Philippines policy to give previliges for Senior Citizens to avail discounts when buying certain commodities and are given an Express Lane. In any transactions.
Those were some sort of economic differences, sorry for the challenges you just encountered including the phone thing, just have to taste a little bit of everything, thanks for the meaningful immersion you just did.
I was in The Philippines 🇵🇭 as a boy 👦. Recently, I was there last month. I am happy 😊 that you found some funny 😄 moments. Wishbus is a popular station. SB 19 is only scratching the surface on OPM. Morissette Amon is the queen 👸 She and other Filipino musicians are in the same radio stations as Western musicians from Adele to ZZ Top. I am in Singapore 🇸🇬 now. Yet, I like 👍 watching your videos. 👍
as filipinos, the transport from the airport is really getting a really big problem to us too. especially now that a lot of people are coming in for the holidays and going out for vacation.
