Maybe find some people who you can ask about, well actually technically that's whoever happens to reply to this.. Maybe try throwing whatever you can at a wall and see what sticks, aka do anything you can and see what stands out to you Don't rush answers, it's commendable that you started thinking about such a topic this early on, it's gonna be different for every person, but this is something that requires time and effort. Lots of it. It's good to have support pillars to fall back on, like people who you can trust or things you like to do, so that you can recharge yourself mentally as well. Even just having someone to talk to about what's new and/or what's pressuring you can be helpful, even if you don't always really get an answer back. It'll help eliminate the feeling of being alone and instead being heard and understood. Be careful not to fall into unhealthy coping mechanisms, especially those that can turn into addictions. You'll just be adding more work to eliminate/replace them later on. Current addictions, if any, aren't solved by tackling the addiction itself, it's by going after what led to the addiction, like unresolved trauma or something of that nature.

People expect you to be a fully formed adult when you turn 18 but you still got 2 years of being a teenager left. Don't stress it if you don't know what you wanna do for the rest of your life the minute you turn 18, the majority doesn't know a damn thing either. We're all just pretending we know what's going on

Find community; search and seek out genuinely helpful people who you can talk to about these things. They don't always have to be people who can help, either. Sometimes just listening is good. And they might not all be in the same place. Your community will likely involve people with similar interests. Find out what your likes and dislikes are, who you are as a person, and what you like to do. Explore different work options/school options in a way that won't put you out (but don't be afraid to take risks.) Develop your talents/abilities (don't know what they are? Try different things!), and find ways to use them. Learn how to budget and save money. If you don't know someone you can talk to, you may be able to talk to someone at the bank/credit union. Find ways to grow as an adult and become a functioning, responsible person (learning about boundaries is a great place to start.) Lastly, give yourself grace. From someone who is 11 years older, I didn't have a car, driver's license, or job at your age. Didn't really have any ambition or care too much. By the grace of God, finding community, and learning to develop in these ways I've been able to narrow some things down. There are many things I'd want to tell my younger, 18 year old self, but I've grown so much, and some of that is the result of the experiences I've had. You're gonna make mistakes and it won't be perfect. Doesn't need to be. Doesn't even need to be great, either. I know it's scary to move forward when you feel like you have so much to learn. Over time, as you develop and continue to try different options/explore life, you gain confidence. I know that a large part of the confidence I have is because I've seen Jesus move in mighty ways in my life. It helps, too, to look back on what you've accomplished. Stretching yourself a little bit more and more shows you just what you can accomplish. And when you see what you've accomplished, other things that used to bother you don't (or at least, not as much.) Job interviews aren't a big deal to me anymore - I've done harder things, like public speaking. That sort of thing. I have not watched all of the videos that this guy has, but he has many that you might be interested in.
