8:58 Fun fact: I believe this is an actual picture from a Japanese game show with a dark story. The point of the game was that man was had to live in this little apartment and could only get stuff by winning them through magazine raffles. He had to win clothes, food, and I think a heater or something to keep him warm. He didn't have any interaction with people and he lived like this for a while. When the show was over, it damaged his social skills and how he was in public. Later on, I think years after he was trying to live in normal social conditions, the show got him back for the same game. But it was actually to surprise him with a big winning. So when he was placed in what seemed like the small apartment, the walls dropped to reveal a live audience watching and cheering for him, but the situation was more shocking and really anxiety inducing. Can't remember the name of the man or the show, but ye thanks if you read this fun fact.
Damn that's actually so dark, I can't imagine relying your day to day needs on what you win through shitty magazine win actions. And that combined with not being able to interact with other people, it sounds like it was made by some psycho.

8:58 that is an actual Japanese reality tv show called Susunu! Denpa Shōnen. The guy was known as Nasubi and he is a Japanese comedian. He was confined in a tiny apartment room and had to win a total of 1 million yen in order to leave. He needed to win giveaways he finds on magazines and whatever he wins adds to the total pool until it hits the million yen goal. This show is incredibly messed up at the end when they invited him back to participate in the show, he did the usual and stripped naked because he has gotten used to the living condition. He is then revealed when all 4 walls collapse and is presented in front a live audience. I'd have an anxiety attack too if I had been living in confinement and is suddenly presented in front of a live audience naked. It feels kind of like The Truman Show after seeing some clips of the game show.
