@@ShelbyHBTM hello I am from India and I have question that is can I drive truck in us by international license ?? Ans this question pls ans because I want work as truck driver in us so pls help me and one more question is how can I come to us and what are the process so pls tell me proply pls....🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@rxpujari_ka28 I am living in Washington state. In my state, you have to be a permanent resident, aka green card holder or US citizen to be eligible for truck driver. And you have to have a comercial driver license issued by US federal agency. So your international driving license is only good for driving nomal cars in the US for a period of short time, let alone big trucks.
Friend: "What have you been doing to pass the time during all this?" Me: "Well, I got on RU-vid and watched a truck driver make a sandwich in her truck."
Happiness By The Mile What was the meat and cheese substitutes? Are you allowed to say? After 5 plus years still trying to find a tasty sandwich meat/cheese combo that's vegan and lactose free. BTW, we use the same mayo., it is great.
Europe here, but have you ever tried to solve that problem with some vegetables? Some slices of cucumber, peppers, salad or some slices of tomato? Mayo is not the only way to get a sandwich less dry. :) ...and to be even more European, buying real bread (not the plastic covered, white wonderbread that lasts forever) will make your sandwiches less dry - and add some fiber to your diet. I know I live in a part of the world where buying fresh bread is the norm, but the wonderbread Americans eat, scares me. Bread is supposed to get moldy after a while, it is nature s way of telling you not to eat it.
Fry or boil some eggs beforehand. Cucumber, egg, butter, some ham with rye bread. Rye bread better to keep off from being hungry and it's not dry with egg and cucumber. And as EspenX said, some salad will make it even better :)
Welcome to Billings!! Next time you swing through the city, let me know a day in advance and I'll give you a shout out on Planet 106.7 between 3pm and 7pm
It took me a while (new subscriber) to watch a lot of your videos to think of who you remind me of, especially when you laugh: A blonde _ Sandra Bullock
All though we never hear or see BKM it's got to be nice to have someone else along for the ride he's as good at his job as you are at yours another excellent video.
As my old dispatcher used to tell me all the time “that’s trucking”. She treated me well and I ran my ass off for her. I never waited on a reload. And for a flatbed driver that money!!
When it's a bad day I just look out the window and remember why the job is worth it, most people will never get to see all the beautiful nature that's out there.
That bear footage was pretty cool! I’ve never seen a beat in the wild before! I’m running from Washington state to Pennsylvania tomorrow so I’ll be running through the same area! Can’t wait! 🙂
Well I've got me a job and I am loving over the road for my first 2 days of driving. It's been very amazing and fun to drive for sure. I hope I get to see you on the road in my career at some point cause you are an inspiration honestly. Thank you for being positive all the time and helping us other new drivers with advice and everything. We all appreciate it 100%
I've often thought that being a long haul trucker would be the best of jobs and the worst of jobs. It would be the best when the weather's nice and the worst when the weather is bad. But, thanks for keeping on truckin through the good and the bad and keep America rollin.
I've been driving for over 10yrs, 3rd gen driver. I grew up running the back roads. That's the only way to truly see this great nation as it was and is becoming. Get off the open road and see the sights of our proud and historical sites. We live in a beautiful nation that has such a beautiful landscape. Thank you so very much for sharing it with us!
Totally agree, as a 40 year old Englishman who made many trips to the US at one time in life, I can’t buy the current depiction of this great country that the media are portraying, I choose to think of the vast size, amazing views and people, I wouldn’t mind trucking long distance over there. Great video, shows that if you have a passion for what you are doing, it is more than just a “job”, you will spend most of your days at work so if you can love it, makes all the difference
Meanwhile I'm here between 4 walls, waiting for my employer to call me back to be inside some big walls, I have alway wanted to be a truck driver because I like to travel, with family and other priorities at the moment I couldn't probably be able to deal with the trucking life, but I would love to have and live the experience of trucking. Your channel and content is awesome. Cheers.
When I was a trainer, I could not stress enough the need for proper route planning. I always had to remind my trainees that they were going to be paid by "Airplane Miles" and not the actual miles driven. So, miles save was money and time in their pockets.
So I think your awesome I drove truck for 40 years been all over the U.S and I think it's great how you show that women can do it just as good as a guy ,so God bless you and Safe travels
Your traveling since fourty years. Than I think that you experienced unfortunately not only good things... Roll on and enjoy..Greetings from germany... Dennis
I come so close so many times hanging it up and stop driving but when you are a trucker it’s so hard to just stop I love watching your videos I love what you do keep it up trucker
I hear you. I used to drive back in the day. I ended up being in the navy and later airforce. Now that im out of the forces, im thinking about the next step, and trucking has always stayed with me. The good, the bad, the ugly. This girl really put a different light on trucker life. I swear I feel like im watching someone on a RV trip cross country, rather then a trucker. Im glad she’s enjoying her job. I guess in the end, thats all that matters. Drive safe!
My husband and I team, we love that route. Last year we pulled over for a 30 minute and jumped in the river. It was cold but was so worth the spontaneity.
I'm trying to convince my husband that we should team drive in our retirement. I'm open to any advice team trucker couples have regarding how to get started or anything related to driving truck with your spouse.
@@stephaniefoster2899 do you already have your cdl? I recommend a school, not attached to a trucking company. That's what my husband and I did. After school that meant we had no contracts and could go to any company we wanted. My husband trained for 3 months and then I joined him as a passenger for 6 months. We evaluated how we felt, if it was a good fit and then I went to school. School took 1 month and it was so fun. Then I trained with the company for 3 months and then joined my husband where we super soloed for 1 month then drove team. Teaming is so fun, but also hard. You really have to make time for each other and sacrifice time out of your sleep if you want to maintain healthy relationship. Taking time between drives is also a choice, but I don't recommend it if you're out to make some money. My husband and I drove 10hrs a day, or close to, EACH. But what's great about running hard is you have more money in the bank and can vacation anywhere really.
I love taking U.S. Routes for the same reason! They're such hidden gems. I also secretly Iove cruising thru small towns and getting smiles from the locals. They love lady truckers out there 😂😉 #KeepTrucking Girl and stay safe! Your channel is A1👌🏽!
I love the videos. As a kid, even still today I always wanted to be a truck driver. (I’m a chef) I just love to drive and see the country and would love to do what you do. Thank you for sharing your life and letting us experience you’re journeys and adventures.
Why not take the chance? YOLO. You can always go back if its not what you thought it'd be like. I'm going for it. But first I gotta make me a sandwich...might not be able to eat it...But a girl can try!
Good Afternoon Shelby, Absolutely my favorite. I cant wait to load up my fifth wheel and take a trip to Yellowstone. As always your videos are amazing. Keep up the great work, and above all Be Safe out there.
@@ShelbyHBTM "Texas toast is a toasted bread with butter, and often garlic, that is often made from a type of packaged bread that has been sliced at double the average thickness of most sliced breads. ... Texas toast can also be used when making toasted sandwiches."
I liked that truck also when I got to drive one. But I had to admit the 2019 Freightliners were freakin nice too. Wwaayy better than the older models by far. Nicer looking inside and out and bigger too.
I think you're a huge inspiration to young women trying to get into your field! I started operating heavy equipment as a 19 year old girl and having another woman to look up to back then would have been awesome. Keep it up and stay safe out there lady 🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@ShelbyHBTM That's a great mindset to have! The best drivers and operators are the ones that never get complaisant! Love the content you and your cameraman are creating 😊
That bread is called Texas toast... And did you notice that first group of bison you came up on, the first bison you passed, which would have been the last bison dragging along, was injured...
Good video, You look happy being on the road, just an advice get steps for your dog, German shepherds are known for bad hips and knees and jumping in and out of the truck doesn’t help it’s going to do some damage, the steps cost about 400 bucks they fold out, definitely cheaper than a knee surgery, it’s something to keep in mind. Be safe out there
OMG that bear!! So freaking cool that y'all were able to get video of that! Gosh, wildlife is amazing:) Also...I definitely have half the items in your fridge hahaha- I love the Silk yogurts, and if that was a Stok's Oat Milk Latte cold brew, I'm literally drinking that right now! Anyway, another awesome video- sweet transitions BKM- and as a female who travels around the country quite a bit for work, I 100% appreciate you taking the time to see the sights! That's the best part!! Truck on
What did the Buffalo say to his kid as he sent him off to school? Bye son! (Bison) I know, I know, I'll see myself out... Hahahaha!!!! Wow! That bear was awesome! I love the transitions between the various parts of the day and night- great work, as always!!!! BKM, you never cease to amaze me! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🍪🍪🍪
I was so excited to see the Bison and then I saw the one that’s at the back of the line of them. He or she is lame on the left rear leg. My heart goes out to him or her and I hope it heals!! Yep, I’m one of “those” people that notices stuff like that. I’m such an animal lover that it really does break my heart. 😢 Poor baby.
@@Sadams707 ...lol..she made sandwiches. Went outside in snow, took the dog for walk, looked at scenery, did quick drone shot,, made few camera commentary. Went outside ate lunch, then made final commentary before taking off.....longest 30 minutes ever 😄😄💚
ALEXxpress3 can be long as you want don’t have to stare at the clock and zoom off. Slow down and smell the roses. As long as you don’t go over 11 or 14 ya good.
Your inspiration I’m also thinking of going into trucking just concern companies might not give me a chance to show them I can do the tasks and also might see me as a liability because of my upper bilateral amputee of not having hands from the elbows length down.
Excellent editing skills. I drove OTR from 1988 to 2009 until my rollover accident that 100% handicapped me and ended my driving career. I certainly miss it. What else could you do being a paid tourist! I've seen a lot of beautiful things, places and people. I've also seen the worst in all those categories too!!
I’ve thought about being a trucker for years, but I learned many years ago to not live to work. Work is just something we have to do to make money to support whatever lifestyle we have. Being on the road all the time and not having true free time when not driving is what turned me off to pursuing truck driving as a career. I give mad respect to those like you that don’t mind the lifestyle and keep the freight moving!! Love watching your videos, be safe! And I love Dakota 🐶
I am 67 I had a cdl and when I git married he made me give it up , Gave up the wrong one ! Through you I can still enjoy trucking Thank you . stay safe LOve the scenery
Watching you make those sandwiches is making me really hungry lol. Yellowstone is one of my favorite places, the scenery is so beautiful! Stay safe out there you guys!
I'm excited to get into trucking, just waiting for the DMV to open back up, so I can get my CDL Permit. This has been something I've been thinking about doing for the last 5 years.
@@romanlanda6501 I just feel like it's the right thing for me to do. I'm only 28, but I've been in the IT industry for 13 years and I'm over dealing with computer problems, haha. I wanna go see the entire US/Canada (When I get my passport) and get paid to do so. I know truckers don't make a ton of money, but I'm not doing it for that. I'm doing it for to gain more life experience.
Sometimes when the dogs see some food which his/her mistress prepares, they begin to sneeze like asking to treat them with some slice :-)) Thanks for the video, be safe and healthy! Aand... special thanks to your cameraman, he does cool job by taking such amazing views.
Just found your videos and I have to say that it is refreshing to your point of view in the world of trucking. Thank you for letting us ride along and for all you do to make trucking better.
