Additionally, the hatchback and sedan versions of the Mitsubishi Mirage will likely be discontinued by the year's end, reducing the company's lineup to the outdated 2024 Outlander Sport (beginning at $23,695), the unsightly Eclipse Cross (from $26,345), and the popular Outlander plus Outlander PHEV. Those two are the only ones worth considering from the present selection, and they start at $28,395 and $40,345 respectively. If they haven't already made the conversion to Subaru, some die-hard Mitsubishi fans might say, "Don't worry." Seems like the upper echelons of management at the Japanese carmaker's US headquarters saw the heat and came up with the Momentum 2030 strategy to guide the company back to the forefront of the North American market. Bringing out new versions of your best-selling models is a certain method to get people excited about coming back next year. Thus, we expect the version that debuted in 2021 to get a makeover in the near future, possibly for the 2025 or 2026 American model year, with exterior and interior updates. The resident pixel master wasted no time getting to work, and the result is a restyled front fascia that retains the intricate split-headlight design but is now in keeping with Mitsubishi's latest aesthetic. An upgrade in the middle of the cycle should bring new alloy wheels in addition to new Y-shaped, slimmer LED taillights and nothing else at the rear. The inside is supposedly undergoing an even more extensive redesign, with improved steering and a redesigned dashboard assembly that will merge the instrument cluster with the infotainment system's screen. The revamped Mitsubishi Outlander would look and feel like something out of the mid-2020s thanks to the larger and wider screens.
