Neat build man, it looks really cool. Using the rings like that with an open center was literally my first thought. Poeple have come up with some very creative ways to use these parts. Hope to see more parts to come from other authors!
This reminds me of the big colony ship from The Expanse. This is potentially the most unique build that I’ve seen, first cylindrical design that I’ve found. Very cool, great job on the ship and the content!
Thanks. This was actually the first modded build I ever did. I wanted something that just looked alien. I'd love to take another stab at this with the Matilija Elevators and some custom habs.
I have experimented with this Mod and so far like them. They are a bit finicky, but gorgeous once you get it set. I always enjoy your vids. They help me push my building.
They are super finicky. I think the skins need a bit of updating, as they have a plastic look to them, but I think the pieces are cool. If used sparingly, it could be fun to integrate them into more "classic" builds".
Definitely going to give this mod a check. I think it may have been one of your vids that gave me the idea for a Star Trek inspired design for my ship last year, but I haven't played Starfield for a few months after I got really fed up with the "wide as an ocean, shallow as a puddle" feel of the game. Maybe I'll drop back into the game thanks to seeing a few of your recent vids, especially now that I know how to use some of the building glitches on my PC.
This looks very similar to the ship I just built. However I only put one ring structure towards the back. So I was thinking about how to change it up because it just looked unfinished and I saw this. Very cool build that gave me some ideas 💡
I have a feeling there will be a bunch of similar designs out there. I wanted to try and get the bridge and habs on the bottom section, but the rings cut through really bad.
Between the ship mods and the legendary module building the perfect armor set ( ie changing the Peacemaker to a Ranger Spacesuit) I've hardly touched any of the quest content that I downloaded
Just started watching your channel and I love it. Love how soothing and relaxing they are too. Buit was just wondering. If you could do a Starfield version of the Star Citizens Constellation class ships? Love those and think it would be a great ship design to implement into this game.
Thank you for the kind words. I'll have to look that ship up. I have a build I am working on right now that is pushing the builder to the limits, but I'll add that one to the list.
This is the most PHENOMENAL ship build I've ever seen and I can't wait to try it out! Wow! Thanks so much for this excellent tutorial - are you a teacher irl? You explain everything in a very clear and precise manner, which makes following the tutorial really easy. Thank you, you have a new subscriber. :D
I didn't dock at any stations, but I do have combat footage during the ship description. I was on extreme difficulty in the Serpentis system. The ship handled well, but it would probably not hold up against a couple of Claymore III's. It's lacking hull strength.
Good luck! The rings are a little tough to work with, IMO. But on the plus side, the lack of collision detection on them means they can be put anywhere as they pass through everything
Best guess is a ladder or door didn't spawn correctly. I have had this issue with Taiyo habs before. I had a straight line going from the rear facing docker to the cockpit, but for some reason it said it wasn't connected. I could not figure out where the disconnect was.
I like the futuristic looks but not a fan of very large ships as in tall I don't like a lot of ladders I prefer stairs if possible but all in all a great build video thanks for sharing 👍
I am building a ship right now using the Matilija Aerospace mod. They have a stairwell hab that is either 2, 3, or 4 floors high. It would be interesting to have that here.
Love the ship design parts the assembly though leaves something to be desired with the cheat method aka glitch building having to be used. Can you build a the same ship without cheating ?
Since this is a modded ship, inherently it's cheating anyway. You could build it without the blend techniques. Take out that center landing gear, and remove the spikes next to the cockpit (or if you like the spikes, swap the cockpit for something a little less wide). Or just embrace these blend techniques, as they are widely used in the shipbuilding community.
Hi I have used the creation mod which gives you credits ammo etc in the captain's locker of your ship and keeps respawning them .I then built a new Ship made it my home ship but the captain's locker is empty how do I fix this. Thanks
@@TeamScorpioRI I have found out that the mod for the credits etc keeping full in the captain's locker only seems to apply for the ships you get given e.g mantis.. razorleaf
I like this mod but I wish the mod author would take the time to make them appear more in tune with the rest of the ship parts in the game. I like them but it hurts my immersion seeing these smooth polished glowy things .
Agreed. The skins need a little more detail on them. The mod has promise, just needs to be polished a bit. I am finding that is the way with a lot of mods out right now.
Lol.. why not. I used to have it before the parts section. Figured it was good to put it right in the beginning. My hope is it gets people thinking on how they can build it better... or they just skip through it. Either way.
This looks like you can do a lot of Babylon 5 ships. So for your next trick... make an Explorer ship --> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q1wp7r71VNo.html
Why is nobody addressing the crappy engines? When I use them, they slow down in a turn and reverse when I used thrusters. Is this just my issue or is this happening to everyone?
That is how engines have performed since day one in the game. Every engine will lose speed during a turn, and if you are quick with the thrusters you can actually go into negative speed (flying in reverse). Its just the mechanics in the game. I am sure there is some fancy space physics explanation for it, but I have barely had my morning coffee so I will just say "It is what it is".
@@TeamScorpioRI yeah i dont want it to sound like im complaining, the stats are good, and they look good, i was just expecting a little \more animation, but all your stuff is good
Just for me. Something is corrupt in my save files and this is not the first time it has happened. When I try to fly in our out of Neon, the game crashes on me. I can quick travel directly into Neon core (which is what I usually do). Just a bug with my game, but a frustrating one.
Agreed. They have a plastic loot to them. Its missing that touch of reality that the vanilla pieces give. Still, the pieces have promise. I actually like the shape of the grav drive in this mod.
Bro. You setting players up for aggravation. Bays go farthest forward so you don’t have to run the full length of your ship every where you go. Replace all the cargo with habs so a bay fits up front and put cargo to each side or wherever it fits. Sure this tron abortion is cool looking but it’s trash for function as is.
This was more of a concept to see what I could build with AvonTech than a "here is the ultimate ship for you". You could replace the bottom section with some working habs (mirror the top a bit), and get the landing bay more up front (I'd probably use a Nova bay to match the pointed designs). I would probably also combine this mod with the Matilija Aerospace mod to get stairs in the back, vs the big ladder though useless 1x1 habs. Plus the circular cockpit from Matilija would look cool here. Like I put in my disclaimer, these builds are usually meant to inspire. Take the design, make all the changes you want, and make it your own.
If that is your stance on rear mounted landing bays, then cool. This is not the ship for you. I don't mind them as much. I have a couple ships with them at the back as that is where they felt right. But if that is not your thing, cool.
I rather prefer the classic ship modules. The esthetics looks unrealistic and apart from the esthetics these new ship parts contribute nothing to functionality. Furthermore climbing 6 ladders to board your ship is insane.
Not going to disagree with you. The skins on these pieces don't have the same look as the ones in the vanilla game. They look plastic, IMO. I do like that it's an attempt as giving is SOME type of round part, though. As for the latter, I wanted to get the habs on the bottom of the ship, but the rings cut through the habs and cockpit too much. The super ladder was the other choice.
@@PatJWilliams I think we are seeing the first wave of ports. Modders are just rushing to put out the mods, leaving them at "good enough" so they get out. Hopefully there will be texture updates later.
