I attended a mature driving class to get a discount on my car insurance. One important fact brought up by the instructor was the importance of a dash cam. The Highway Patrol instructor could not stress the value of a dash cam enough. He thinks they ought to be required on all vehicles. As an accident investigator, myself, (retired) the bus fleet had cameras, and they exonerated the drivers on multiple occasions.
