AS always KILLER job!! The General brings back soo many fond memories from my childhood. Such a sad story about the so often battle during divorces.........I am sure he heard the beast start up while relaxing on his cloud in heaven and about fell off of it looking at the beauty he created below.....

While the Charger that would become the "Schisler LEE" was originally purchased with the intent of being converted to a General Lee and used in 'The 'Dukes of Hazzard', the car didn't actually receive the "General Lee" uniform until after the television series packed up and relocated to California to resume filming. Original 'Dukes' transportation coordinator, Don Schisler, ended up building the car for his teenage son in 1979. According to the late Mr. Schisler, when 'The Dukes of Hazzard' wrapped filming in Georgia, a production rep called him during the holidays and made him aware that 'Dukes' would be relocating to California permanently to resume filming. It was during this conversation that Mr. Schisler said that he received one last vehicle order. Among the vehicles in that order, a total of (3) General Lees were requested. Upon completing the order for the (3) General Lees requested, Mr. Schisler said that he had (1) Charger remaining. Knowing that his teenaged son was fan of the General Lee during filming, Mr. Schisler said that he worked out a deal for the car and ended up building his son his very own General Lee. Mr. Schisler said that after building the car, they ended up selling it as his son couldn't enjoy it as much as he had hoped. 'The Dukes of Hazzard' had skyrocketed in popularity across the country and people were all over his son's car wherever he went. When they sold the car, Mr. Schisler said that the car's new owner dogged it (to the point of blowing the engine) severely in the parking-lot of the motel he staying at. As a result, the new owner refused to take responsibility for it and later tried to sue Mr. Schisler's teenaged son for "selling him a car with a sour engine". Upon the judge looking over the case, he ultimate threw it out clearing Mr. Schisler's son of any wrong doing.
