This is great would love to hear about your UOP post life. There aren't enough videos and it's such a new model of school that I'm hesitant to do the school.
UoPeople began in 2012. It wasn't accredited at first. Now 57,000+ students attend the college, cans it's accredited. Also UoPeople just collaborated with Harvard online, not sure how it all fits now. Harvard has the highest accreditation. In the U.S., UoPeople is serious!
May Congratulations Lois and thank you for making this video. In today's era of so many online things, it is hard to trust something, I have just paid 60 dollar feed and got myself in for business administration and was just trying to check through all videos to see if this is really possible to do and your video gives me hope and motivation I need. thanks!!
Congrats ! All the way from The Bahamas. I'm so happy for you, thank you for this video. I plan to pursue my studies with Uopeople, this upcoming semester in the health care industry. I wish you the best in your endeavors !
Congratulations Lois, This video has inspired me to keep going and complete my bachelor's degree in Health Science at UoPeople. I look forward to the day I'll receive my certificate like you, I'd be the happiest person on earth then😁
Hello Akinwumi Paul! I'm so glad you're going to GO FOT IT!!! Yes, it is work, but once you get it done it can't be taken away!!! I believe in you!!! Lois
Congratulations from the Philippines! Looking forward to studying in UoPeople in the next term to study Health Science. I regret not applying during my first year in college. Wishing you all the best!
@@fghfdnvccn1898 the cost is $60 for admission. And $120 per class for testing fee. Books are completely free. If you can't afford this they have plenty of scholarships.
Hi Lois I always come to watch your video anytime I feel little bit demotivated towards my journey at uopeople I am in my 3rd term, studying Associate degree in computer science. Such an inspiring video you have here.
Congratulations!!!!!! I´m really happy for you! I´m still taking foundation courses. It is a beautiful video, I felt like I was with you! And I felt the emotion. Way to go!
@@loisanna oh no I’m sorry this comment was supposed to be for the other person who’s taking the foundation courses. I just wanted to know how many time it took the university to send her her ID informations and the courses she was gonna study after finishing the inscriptions
Congratulations, Lois! Thank you so much for the video, very inspirational. I really wish you all the best for you in your professional career and further education.
Congratulations, Lois and best of luck to you. I'm considering applying to UoPeople and it helps to see people who've completed their degrees and are as happy as you are.
Hello Rosana, I sure hope you'll be able to go to UoPeople. It is a great education. I am so thankful to have the opportunity that I was given from UoPeople.
It's been a while, but CONGRATULATIONS! No judgment intended, but since you said "I hope I said it right" ... I believe Laude is pronounced without the E, so Magna Cum Laud is like Fort LAUD-erdale Florida. It's the closest example that others may know of that I could think of. Again, congratulations on your hard work. That extra designation is not easy to achieve and truly shows dedication of a strong work ethic. I hope this opens many opportunities for you.
@@faruqainulyaqin4334 I'm 25 years later then if I had gotten my degree right out of High School. Yes, I was so glad to be finally done. I started a new job when I started UoPeople, and it was HARD!

Hi Lois! I’m also attending the University. Congrats on your graduation. 😄 I was curious if you knew the size of the degree on hand as I will be soon be ordering a frame. :) I wish you all the best in the future, congrats again! 🥳
Hi, which name appears after completing a course? Is it the one you sign up with or they will ask you to write a name you want to appear on the certificate of completion?
Congrats Lois. I have been accepted at the university and I am looking forward to starting my foundation course prior to start the computer science program
Awesome! I am definitely open to forming a study group with you and our peers in class. Study groups can be really beneficial to those who need the extra help.
Congratulations @Lois am Happy for you and your success, hard work does pay of.Can you advise on how or what classes those credits was transferred from and would you recommend starting with another university and then transferring to Uopeople or just do the entire degree with them?
Wow, you managed to get BSc. Business administration in 2.5 years. I am currently taking Bsc. Business administration in UOP. May I know how many courses you took per term so you finished in 2.5 years? I am currently taking 2 courses per term, btw.
@@shemezaariellerachel6640 actually, I have aldy taken for about 8mths. If u want to study together for some courses, u can telegram me at simplelife325.
Hi, Lois, I am so happy for you, infact all over the internet, when I search for UoPeople Certificate, you are there as a reminder that it's achievable. I am resuming September term 2021 B.S Business Admin. Please do you think it's possible to finish my studies and graduate in 2 years? And can I get possible help from you as a mentor? Thanks. Awaiting your kind reply.
Hey, Lois. I just want to ask if UoPeople offers self-phased learning? And can you finish it earlier than 4 years? Thank you so much. This video is so inspiring!
If your GPA is at least 3.75 or higher, you can take up to three courses per term instead of 2, getting your degree faster. But it is not easy to keep up with that amount of load, so brace yourself and good luck! The University itself is amazing.
Congratulations, Lois! I’m so happy for you. 🥳❤️ I want to enroll as well, but I’m thinking if I can really do it cause I’m working from home and a mother too. 🥲 I really want to have a degree. 🤗
I learned the UoPeople yesterday and I was planning to apply their unfortunately I can't pay the admission fee. Anyway, Congratulations to you Ma'am. I can see the joy in your eyes, I hope I can earn that joy soon.
Hi, I get the money problem. I'm going to do a video today about why I joined UoPeople. There are scholarships through UoPeople. By the way I got my degree at 49 because I couldn't afford to go to a University until I found UoPeople.
@@loisanna Hi Lois and congratulations from Canada on your degree in Business! I'm 40 and haven't finished a undergrad degree yet but was starting the process of applying there. What was your experience because from reading the reviews from the instructors on Glassdoor it wasn't good, said its low pay, the student teacher ratio is too high, etc. Wondering if I should go there and then complete my MBA at another university because the Batchelors is recognized but the MBA is not and I could go to school for my MBA without my undergrad but I still want that Uni experience. There isn't live lectures with the instructors so did you like that experience or no? Would love a response! Thank you!
Hi Lois🙋🏽♀️ Congrats on your success 🎉🥳🎊 Do you know the cost of the Foundations Courses? I just registered with UoP and I was to apply for the MBA soon. Thanks in advance....all your responses to everyone was really helpful, you seem like a great person. Love for the Caribbean 🇹🇹

Hello Jason A, I wish you the best. Speaking of transfer classes. UoPeople accepted 19 classes from me, and then when I was almost done they accepted 6 more. They accepted a total of 25 courses. I didn't have to take any unnecessary classes. Lois
@@loisanna I was notified today that UoPeople accepted 23 classes : ) When did you get a degree plan? You know, a list of what classes you needed to take and which classes your transfers took care of?
@@jasona.126 Wow!!! You did great on transfers! They only took 19 transfer classes from me at first. A year after I started I requested more transfers and they accepted 6 more for a total of 25 transfer classes.
The first session UoPeople will assign you classes. The following sessions you will register for your own classes. You can do a degree audit to know where you stand with your classes. You can also look at the student handbook to plan your college. I'll try to do a video on it.
@@loisanna Awesome! There is mention somewhere on their site about being able to see more, via the portal, after you pay for transfers. I made a degree plan spreadsheet based on the catalog, but catalog doesn't break down all the specifics.
@@mihajlog9245 I have already checked before I enrolled. They are legally accredited. If you are sure, they are not, can you provide a link from Dept. Of Education USA?
That is so exciting! I want to enrol for an MBA. I have some questions, hopefully you won't mind answering. *How long did it take you to complete? *How is the structure in terms of time and flexibility? I'll be working so I'm interested to know how many hours you'd spend a day doing school work?

How could you accept your graduation uniform and certificate?? Can you please give me ideas about that?? I'm so much beginner..
Hi Luis, congratulations I am very happy for your success and I saw it in your eyes and in your voice my question is : Do you think that three years is a long period of study? Because I started a week ago and I feel like four years is too long for me. I am in an English language course. Congratulations again and thank you.
Hi Lois, Firstly, congratulations for getting your bachelor's degree. I wish you Good luck for the future endeavors ahead. Secondly, does UoPeople provide any option for getting the diploma in official university frame? Or are there other options to get the diploma?
@@nibboret1881 with a scholarship UoPeople might be free. Without a scholarship the exams cost $100. This is so much cheaper than other American 🍕 universities, so I chose UoPeople.
Hi Lois, pleased to watch the composition, I'm concerned after we complete our degree how long can we receive the degree? is there some additional fee to be paid to get degree urgently? I'm in my third term of M.Ed programm.
Hello, there is no additional fee. About a week after your final exam you apply for graduation. It took 5 weeks to get it in the U.S. A scan is sent via email around 4 weeks. It felt like it took soooooo long. :-) Keep working! You will get it!!!!
Hi, Lois Anna first of all congratulations 👏. Secondly I would like to ask you some questions about the university of the people I am interested in Business Administration, I want to get a an associate of science degree i would be happy if you briefly explain or elaborate more on how things work out
Hi I'm sorry that I didn't respond to you sooner. First you apply and the cost for that is $60. Then once you're in you take a class that tells you how to study online. That gives you a really good overview of how the classes are done. Thursday is when classes start for the week and your first assignment is due Sunday evening. All of the other assignments are due on Wednesday. The last assignment is due on thursday.
Congratulations !!!! It was very nice finding this video. Could you please write back and let me know how things worked out for you: 1- Are employers fully accepting the degree for UoPeople? 2- Do other universities in the USA accept the credits from UoPeople? 3- If a person decided to go for the Master at another university in the USA, would those universities recognize a bachelor's degree from UoPeople? Again Congratulations and all the Best!!!!
Congratulations. I want to ask you one thing. I have degree from Indian university and I applied for master in University of People but I’m leaving in another country other than US. My question is how will I take the exam?
hi! is it face to face study or just modules? i graduated 2002 elementary education and after that i didnt try to apply for a job as a teacher cause i chose singing.
Hi lois congratulation, i heard that you said you finish your degree taking time arroud 2 and half year, but my advisor said, take barchelor degree need about 4 years to finish the barchelor degree.firstime im apply for barchelor, but the advisor said when i'm payment i select associate degree.i dont know is there mistake or my mistake.what diffrent between associate degree and barchelor degree
Thanks lois for your reply.so after we finish associated degree,we can continue study barchelor degree finish within 2 years it is.what is the requirement. Can we celebrate our graduation in uo people university of the people in usa.did they have celebration in their school
@@joannek466hi Joanne it's not required to get an associate's degree first but here in the United States you have to go to a university or college. I had never gone to a four-year University before. I'd always only gone to a two-year college which only gives associates degrees. So the University of the people is great for me because it's the first college I went to that could give me a bachelor's degree. Even here in the United States some of us can't afford or have had trouble taking the time to go to a physical University . That's why UoPeople is so great. With their online classes that you can take any time during the day.
@@loisanna hi lois, thanks so much for your reply. so after you graduated from associated degree for 2 years, are you still need to study barchelor degree for two and half year more, or you just can change your degree without study two more years for barchelor

Congratulations! I would like to know if UoPeople confers latin honors to graduate (masters) students as well upon graduation. Thank you for your responses.
Hello Merlin, Sorry it took me a couple of days to answer. I work full-time, and I spent most of my free time on school work. I took up to 3 courses a session. Every class is different for exams. Some classes give you most of your answers in the 2-3 ungraded quizzes. If you study the ungraded quizzes, and or copy and paste them into a document you can have the full resources available. Some classes have very little help in the ungraded quizzes so you have to get all of the info from the reading. I found those classes much more difficult. Yes, I spent 2 hours during the weekday studying and 6 hours on the weekend days. I did take a few days off, but I was focused on finishing my degree. It's so nice to finally have OPEN doors! I'm not held back any longer for not having a degree. I wish you the best in your path, Lois
Can i know how you did it? Associate degree first and then bachelors? Or... bachelors degree from the beginning? I have registered and just wanted to know.. pls lemme know
I had over 40 classes taken at the three other colleges before I ever came to you of people. I also had an associate's degree in Business from a local college. I had never been to a university before though because universities are very expensive. When I first asked UoPeople for college transfer credits they accepted 19 classes. When I had only 15 classes left I looked at them and realized I still had classes that were very similar to the classes I would be taking. So I requested transfer credit again and six more classes were transferred. I chose your people because it's an accredited online college. The other college I looked at before I chose you all people cost over $900 a class. I'm going to guess it's not even as well known as UoPeople. Shout-out #UoPeople
Hello congrats for your success! I want to ask you how proctoring exam process is going? I mean if I choose offline proctoring which a reputable person watches me. What if that person is not around me. I can only take the exam code and enter the exam. It seems unfair. Can you please get me some information about this proctoring ? Thank you
There’s something I’m not sure about that it’s a online free university but we have to pay $60 for application fee? I’m afraid that I’m the only one who have to pay it. I’m not paid it yet because I’m not sure about that. And don’t we need Qualification for the entrance of the university?
I was unsure as well about spending $60 to apply for this University. one thing awesome about it is as long as you have your credentials meaning your high school diploma you will be accepted. So where this University is free is that books are free tuition is free but you do have to pay the $60 to apply as well as $120 per class for the exam fee. The way to get it free is to talk to your advisor once you are accepted and tell them you can't afford to pay and they have scholarships for those who truly can't afford to pay. This program is by far the highest quality online accredited education at the least expensive cost. I vouch for it from my own experiences. No I'm not being paid by Uopeople.
I definitely believe that the University of the people degree was worth it. It is an accredited University. The Fortune 500 company for which I worked paid for it since it is an accredited degree. The education was higher than the previous 40 classes I attended. Only one single class was higher than the level of quality of this school.
Congratulations on completing the course! Has your degree opened doors that would otherwise be closed? Or do you find that people question its validity? I am myself looking into this program. Thanks for sharing.
