A wonderful watch Alyn! Yourself and Mike seemed like two peas in a pod 😊 Such a natural connection between you both with a clear understanding of what each other was communicating. Mike seems like a truly likeable, inspiring and interesting guy and the two of you had super rapport. Mikes appreciation and motivation for the wonderful Mayo mountains and the rest of Ireland is infectious - Maigh Eo Abú 🤗

Aw Miriam thank you. I said it in the video and I might just have used the phrase too much but it was an inspirational day. Mike is such a good guy and so much fun, we genuinely had a great day together and I'm glad that comes through in the video. These mountains too!!!!! Wow! So much more to explore here.

Brilliant video Alyn, honestly that was a fantastic interview, I enjoyed every minute of it! It was great to get an insight into Mikes life, though is it just me or does anyone else think Mike looks and sounds like a young Chris O’Dowd from the I.T. Crowd!? That was quite a relief with the pizza question, you just can’t trust people who put pineapple on their pizza, it’s a desert! As Mike said above, that timelapse over the fiddle was amazing, and I wish I could have seen your face when he turned you round😂 That ridge is now on my bucket list, definitely feel a trip back to Nephin this year coming! Must stop rabbiting on but again, well done, that was an inspirational video! Thanks for making the effort to do all that climbing and risking your life on the ridge, totally worth it! ATB

Chris O'Dowd! Lol. There is definitely something in that!!!! The whole trip was a total joy and Mike really is that nice. An amazing man in an amazing place. It was so hard to distil 8.5hours of footage into a wee video, there is so much left on the "cutting room" (my kitchen) floor. Im so glad you enjoyed it Gary, that means a lot.

Excellent interview and beautifully filmed. I loved all of the landscape footage and they way you set up your shots. It looked like a great way to spend some time, and Mike seems like a great guy. Fair play to him for doing so much in the mountains. I'd be blowing out me arse 😄 You did an exceptional job, fair play👍

Thanks Jason, that means a lot. I appreciate that. It was such an amazing day and I'll be honest Mike was a mine of information when it comes to all things filming and drones. It was a super experience and what I got to see of the Nephins are beautiful. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the comments lad. I always appreciate the feedback

Name the date pal, I'll be there! So hard to condense all we did, saw and said into a short video. Thanks for everything Mike

Alyn, Mike's 360 view was something else - I could actually picture it😊 Can really empathise with the absorption of what is and the flow of things - be it the landscape, water, cloud or whatever else. The Nephins are just stunning and magical alright and Corranabinnia is right at the heart of it👍 A lovely spot for an interview and you have obviously put much thought into this process! The interview really drew me in with its natural and relaxed flow (that word again) intertwining the mountains with aspects of life👍

Aw Gerry. Thank you so much for these comments. You have hit the nail on the head. Mike has a wonderful way of looking at the natural world and in particular the mountains. And I agree, I often just phase out and "absorb" the beauty and movement of whats unfolding in front of me. The Nephins were a revelation and I admit to being relieved when the clouds shifted and we got some view of the terrain around us! A beautiful, challenging, intimate day that I am so thankful for.

Genuinely enjoyed every minute of this, I have walked many a mile with Mike and safe to say he is a gent, always up for a bit of devilment, knowledgeable and respectful to landowners! I hope he gets to bring Aoife up there for sunrise someday🙏

Hi Alyn. Don't forget us when you are working for the BBC 😂. It is an excellent idea to get an insight into what makes people hike and camp. You both came across very well and it was very interesting. Hope you do more of this type of content. Take care 👍

Thank you so much Andrew! My phone is off the hook with BBC, RTE, CNN, and channel5 ha ha ha. Im fascinated by people and what keeps us coming back to the mountains. Our weekend in the Mournes put the final piece in place- so many passionate hill walkers in one place. Powerful. Im so glad you enjoyed the video. More planned

Brilliant, as a friend once said to me, its nice to fly off somewhere foreign but I don't think too many people realise just what we have on our own doorstep.

Great interview lads, Mike you certainly kept Dillon and myself on our toes during the All Ireland Mountain Challenge last year! That cloud inversion looked pretty special.

Thanks Patrick. Was an amazing day and the walk was so special. Mike is so generous with his time and wisdom, I had a great time with him. He mentioned Dillon and yourself many times during the day, you must have him rattled. Ha ha ha
