@@snapascrew I feel like he would feel way to awkward to do it. He's extremely self-deprecating and always looks uncomfortable when people praise his production or guitar playing lol.
Been listening to them for 15 of their 20 years . First saw them live in 2005 . One of my favorite bands . The guitar work is so satisfying live with the pitch harmonics
Also one of the tightest live bands there is. Also they just about literally created metalcore. Sure, Overcast was around before them, but they were definitely the first well known metalcore vand
44:31-45:50 I was so honored to even ask them a question yes that’s me btw I was nervous as hell but these guys were great about answering it Edit: I should’ve replied to his comment saying I started out as a drummer but switched to guitar cause it got to be too complicated to set up every night 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The interviewer is very respectful to them and doesn't talk down on heavy metal. I would guess they weren't the only guests that day and a lot of people in the audience probably didn't know who Killswitch Engage was. So the interviewer did a good service to them by talking them up to the audience.
Absolutely love Killswitch. Love their music and the message it sends. Very uplifting and hope they know it is helping in people’s recovery all over the place! I also love their Holy Diver remake and that is how I found KSW.
F***ing awesome, they played my 2 favourite songs: "My Curse" (twice!) and "This Fire Burns", the first songs of theirs I ever heard! I love this video
Same here man, I remember when I first heard "My Curse", that part of the song was the first in any song to make me cry cause his voice is so beautiful. When I was watching this video for the first time I was thinking "Come on Adam, please sing"
@@azarothshadowsoul I hope you checked out the new Times Of Grace release, “The Burden of Disbelief”, it came out 6 days ago. Features Adam’s vocals tons of times.
Ive always wondered why Adam plays more of the leads when Joel actually has better tone. Adam would be the first to say that too but maybe they just play what riffs they write I know periphery isnt like that at all. They dont care who wrote it, they have whoever plays it best play it
I know he's trying his best and, if I was in his shoes, I would probably also be squealing like a fanboy, but the interviewer comes across as such a sycophant.
2 things.. A.) Why is Joel so quiet?? and B.) what is this massive obsession with Adam being a better player and better at pinch harms? Can we stop pretending and give Joel his fucking due please. Christ alive.
In my opinion, Joel has more skill on the guitar and his style is a bit easier on the eye, but I like to watch Adam play just as much. Or to put it another way, I think Joel could beat Adam in a guitar contest, but calling Adam untalented would be stupid
They just pulled the session of these songs from the original album files. A guy I worked with was sent my curse sans vocals when they were "auditioning " singers before Jesse finally agreed to come in. Have it somewhere on an ipod.
