The breed he speaks of is a generation of true country boys/ country artists that are fading out. The OG country artist used to have a saying about how country boys can survive and how they’ll never change for anyone, proud of who they are. That’s what upchurch lives by and that’s where the hook comes into place. Were the last of a bread that done ever die.
Upchurch is so talented! An amazing independent artist. Huge catalog w Rap, Rock and Country. He vlogs a lot, and most of them are hilariously smart. He is humble and an overall great man. He also has 🔥 collabes. Much ❤.
I will try to answer your question about the line. "We're the last of a breed that don't ever die" To me he is talking about a couple things. Another thing to know about Upchurch is that he is a staunch opponent of "Mainstream". So I feel he is talking about a Singers legacy. To him the true legends were the ones who were the outlaws in country music. The Johnny Cash's, Waylon Jennings, etc. He is saying that all these mainstream fake singers will fade into the shadows because people will be able to see that it was just a 'show'. Second, I feel he is also talking about the way he grew up, the amount of people who will grow up in the same way is shrinking and shrinking with every generation. With the focus on electronics and the internet being what it is today, and only growing stronger year after year, there will not be many left to have that type of upbringing of a country boy.

Dude I'm living the country life er day, I live almost in a big national forest and work in the capitol of ms growing medical marijuana. When my life seems tough and unfair I think about what I have and where I'm at now in my life. I worked 30yrs in civil engineering but the stress got me. I ended up doing what I love best and thats growing plants it just happens to be God's best plant that man outlawed.

I live in a very small town in the Midwest, so small that we only have one cop who doesn’t even work every day or all night. lol it’s very chill and I love it. There’s 4 different towns with in 15-20 min that we can go to if we need too. You’re right, it’s very peaceful.

Oh, if you go to up churches channel, a lot of his videos are explained you should check it out. He’s the only artist that I know that does this and it makes so much sense and you really get where he’s coming from.
It means country boy life is being attacked and its been dying if you look at the country music scene today they are all mostly fake poster boys. So through the real ones and himself we are keeping it alive in our bloodlines but at the end of the day the last people that will be alive if real shit goes down is people who know how to live off the land. And thats country boys and some city folk who have learned it and respect to them for doing so.
